Once a week you can have these wonderful chefs make your life easier. They use the best quality, locally grown & raised ingredients to create healthy delicious food. Higher quality than most restaurants at better prices. We’ve loved everything we’ve tried.

Really amazing food. The prices scared me at first, but the quality really is a step above any similar place I’ve tried. I would have given them 5 stars, but the pick-​up hours and rules are a bit constraining. Granted, they’ve recently started delivering for an extra fee. I will definitely go back, but only as my schedule permits pick up.

If you are on the fence about using a meal service because of the cost, quality, taste or asking yourself, «who am I to need or deserve a meal service?» please take my advice and GO FOR IT!
I waited over a year to try Back to Basics Kitchen, mostly b/​c I enjoy shopping, cooking and sharing health promoting meals myself, and always felt that I could and should be able to do it all.
The food is inspiring, giving me ideas on trying new flavor combos and recipes on my own and is freeing up time during my week. Since there is no minimum, I can buy a few things to offset those times where I’m in a rush or don’t have left overs from last nights dinner.
I was lucky to meet one of the owners in person when I picked up my meals (she even called me to remind me!) and she was lovely; walked me through what everything was, how to prepare it, etc. There is no detail not considered: every ingredient including the water, the salt, the oils (these are things that you usually can only control in your own kitchen– certainly not when dining out or ordering carry out) along with the packaging (glass jars which are returned and reused!). Local farm ingredients are sourced and the love in preparation comes through.
I could go on… I plan to continue to use the service and look forward to trying all their menus!

Yum! the eggplant parmigiana is delectable! The flat bread and pickles are out of the world. Can’t wait to try other foods from this nifty pair of chefs.
