Nighthawk Brewery

There is no beating the price on this place. Happy Hour is buy one get one free, so that’s awesome. The game room includes video games, Ping Pong, and an arcade game. I have gone many times and I do have to say I like it better without the blasting music which they sometimes have.

This place has no class. They have sexist «ladies’ night» adverts on all the tables, their speakers play bass so loud that the songs are indistinguishable, and the lights are very bright. It’s a shame about their trashy atmosphere though because the beer is quite good. I would be a regular if they did away with the objectification of women and learned how to use their own speakers.

We came here just to chill and ended up having a blast playing ping pong. There are other games as well and they’ve created a real fun atmosphere.
I appreciated the staff the most. They are knowledgeable an really friendly. I’ll be back for sure mainly because of them. Also, for the double IPA cause it was awesome!

I’m really bummed about the atmosphere of this place, because their beers were quite good, and I’d like to come back.
However, the problem I have with this venue is that they blast, and I mean absolutely BLAST hip-​hop and rap. I don’t have to like the music being played in a brewery (in fact, I almost always don’t like others’ taste in music), and usually I’ll just tune out crappy music, but they play it so loud here that it’s intrusive because it’s almost impossible to hold a conversation or communicate with the servers. Even if I liked the music, I still wouldn’t want it to be that loud. I felt like I was at a club rather than a brewpub.
Maybe someday there will be a turn-​over in employees and the new ones will lower the volume a little. If that happens, I’d be willing to give them another shot, because like I said, the beers were good.

Great atmosphere love the location. Cool game room and large and excellent selection of craft beers. Grapefruit IPA is subtle and flavorful with a great finish. The rye saison is definitely growler worthy and love the lamppost nitro stout. Very full and complex and great winter beer.
Every thing we tried was very good to excellent and will definitely be back again and again.
The lil pumpkin was a great balance of pumpkin spices but not too sweet very yummy

Excellent beer and bar tenders. Good live Music and Mexican Street Grill food truck. Nice bar. Table tennis and foosball tables.
El Capitan Belgian Single. Slightly sour. Light. Very drinkable. My favorite.
Ron’s Sake Brown Ale. Delicious. Great smell. Nutty.
Small Victories Sour Herb Saison is best.
English Summer Ale slightly malty but smooth.
Shot in the Sark Black IPA bitter malt with Piney flavors.
Marathon Session IPA is not a favorite.
Nitro ESB ok. Nitro Lamp Post Milk Stout very good. More bitter than milky.

Ordered one beer and the bartender just decided to give me another. This also happened to my brother-​in-​law on a different occasion. Why don’t they listen?
The atmosphere is cool (if you liked playing video games in your friend’s garage in the 90s). But the service and beer are terrible.

I have gone to Nighthawk Brewery a number of times now for Geeks Who Drink trivia and probably won’t be going back. I’m still rating it highly because a) I am a hophead and rank beers based mostly on solid IPAs and b) Most of the downfall of my experience was with the damn Quiz Master from their Geeks Who Drink trivia nights.
Pros:
–The space. It’s really big and they have a huge room in the back that is great for trivia. Parking is also pretty easy, but gets packed on busy nights so it can be tough to navigate.
–The staff. The bartenders are always really nice and attentive. They are very knowledgable of their beer and are very open to explain all the details of it.
Cons:
–The beer. I am always hoping to find one in there that really does it for me, but I have yet to find that. Disclaimer: I am a total hophead and love IPAs and they don’t have a stellar one that rocks my world. If you are not a hophead, this may be the place for you.
–Trivia nights. Unfortunately this isn’t necessarily representative of the brewery itself, but the Quiz Master at Geeks Who Drink on Thursday nights is a jackass. He is so loud and obnoxious that it’s impossible to enjoy the evening. I usually enjoy funny, loud people but this dude is way over the top. He’s the type of guy that tries so hard to be funny and probably didn’t get enough attention growing up, so it’s his duty to make trivia all about him.

Not that impressed. Ordered some tasters and some full size beers, all were very flat/​not carbonated enough and not very robust with flavor. Music was good! Staff was just ok– kinda turned off by the bar tender who said «there’s a trash can over there, it’d be great if you could help out» Treat your guests with a kinder tongue! Happy to clean up, but it was our first time in and don’t know how your tables work. Likely won’t be back– there’s better beer around town.

This place is been on my to do list for a while. We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and I found quite a bit to like about it. First off, unlike many breweries, they actually offer happy hour here. I have no complaints about a place willing to offer two-​for-​ones and help me stop to stretch my hard-​earned dollars when it comes to craft beer. I sampled a few of the beers and they were mostly to my liking. The ones that I ordered were the Berliner and the Sour. Both of them were perhaps a touch lighter in flavor than I would’ve enjoyed, but they were still rather tasty. They had an interesting selection of syrups that one could get with the Berliner. I like to get mine on the side, and so I did that with the raspberry. They were also offering a strawberry, a passionfruit, and a kiwi of all things. I didn’t quite make out the brand of the syrup, it appeared to be something French. It was definitely thicker than I am used to, but it was quite flavorful.
Our bartender, was extremely friendly and easy to talk to. He definitely likes working there and is proud of the business and what they offer. Aside from the tap room upfront, they also have a very large space in the back. This provides overflow seating, a venue for their very popular trivia nights, as well as having ping-​pong tables, places for board-​gaming, and a Nintendo 64.

Some great beers, some not my favorite.
Particularly like the milk stout on nitro. Think chocolate malty. Mmmm
The bartender recommended the Ron’s Sake Brown Ale and it did not disappoint! A complex, flavorful brown.
My boyfriend loves sour and was all about the «Small Victories» sour herb saison. I thought the lingering after taste reminded me of Busch light and I couldn’t do it.
Quad was solid. Pumpkin ales were both fine but definitely not my favorite pumpkin beers this season.
Worth a roll of the dice — they will probably have something you like!

My girlfriend and I enjoy the vibe here. This place is just simply bad ass! Their beers are well crafted and their customer service is great! The game room is awesome and a chance to hone in your Mario Cart skills or ping pong. The bonus? If you’re a firefighter, or in law enforcement with a photo ID, they give you a discount!

I came here for the second time on a Thursday which is apparently trivia night. This place was packed compared to the first time I came. Luckily they have a huge back room so everyone can fit comfortably. Only issue is trying to get a drink at the bar. They have a lot of sour beers which are my favorite so they get 5 stars from me! Also there is some cool art work by local artists hanging around that you can buy. Overall a great place to go hangout after work. It’s in more of an industrial area so it can be hard to find the first time you go but well worth it. Both times I was there they had a food truck too which is a definite plus. Nighthawk I love your logo, will you sell some women’s tank tops with it on there?

Our moving company’s office is in the same building as NightHawk, we can’t be more satisfied with the place. They treat us like we live there. Some of us do have stools with our name on it, BUT WE ONLY GO AFTER WORK.
The beer is regularly varied, so some are awesome, some are not. Its like going to your buddies homebrew cave, but with 12 choices. Personally, I’m ok with not liking everything, that’s what makes us different.
What sets this tap house apart is the friendly staff, unique choices, and huge play house like space.
No hipsters needed!

Stopped in here last Friday to check things out. First, you need to know that I am 100% not a beer drinker. I like a beer now and then, but in general beer is probably my last choice when I want an adult beverage.
We were lured in by the description of the sour red smash, so we both started with it — it was really tasty! I then moved on to the Grapefruit IPA and also tasted the Raspberry brown (I think that’s what it’s called). All 3 beers were delicious.
The atmosphere is nice and chill, and I enjoyed the friendly dogs that were milling around. Service was a bit slow, but it was happy hour on Friday night — so while I wouldn’t say the place was packed, there were quite a few people hanging out at the bar. And did I mention their happy hour? It’s an amazing deal — 2 for 1 beers. After an hour or so and 2 beers each, our tab was a whopping $ 11.
We’ll be back for more for sure!

Hidden in an industrial complex, this place offers a variety of activities and really good craft beer. They have N64, foosball, arcade games, and much more.
They have Trivia on Thursday’s, which is a lot of fun. The front room has a small bar-​like feel while the back room offers multiple tables and couches for sitting. Nighthawk has food trucks right outside their front door, so getting something to eat is very convenient.
Dogs are welcome. There are usually quite a few pooches roaming around off leash, so your dog should be well socialized before bringing them here. The owner’s dogs are very well behaved, and run around the bar freely. I was a little worried when I first walked in with my puppy, because he was immediately greeted by another dog who was off leash. Luckily my dog is a puppy and just wanted to play, but I can see how this could definitely be an issue with an older dog, or a more aggressive dog coming into the brewery. I also noticed how several people walking in the door were a little intimated by how many dogs were coming up to them off leash.
I’m a dog lover, so I think all of this is great, but I would just warn those who are not dog lovers, or want to bring their dog here, there are dogs off leash.
Overall this place is awesome.

Good beer and atmosphere, they have 14 beers in tap. The tasters are $ 2 each. They have a Mexican food truck on Saturdays.

Nice small brewery. They have a nice large bar area with a game room in the back. I like the fact they have a M-​F happy hour that is basically BOGO. I believe it is from 3 – 6 pm. Their beer selection was a bit limited the day we were there. They were out of the double IPA, but their regular IPA was smooth and almost had a bit of amber overtone. Matt was our server, and he was a really nice guy. We will go back.

Nighthawk is synonymous with awesomeness. The place itself is situated in an off the beaten path part of Broomfield, but… The detoured drive is worth it.
The décor is contemporary, upscale and laid back, all at the same time. Very clean lines. Big space and the crew here, owners included, are amazingly cool. So cool, it’s easy to forget they’re owners and easy to relate to them as your new neighbors.
And… They have had a Sour Herb Sassion each and every time I’ve visited. And, I’ve been a few times :). Sours are hard to find on tap for any decent length of time. Great job, guys.
And, for everyone else, they’ve got a great selection of beers to choose from: IPAs, Nitros, ESB, porters and a Weiss.
Double points: they’re dog friendly, gamer friendly and have the back (huge, like cavernous huge) space outfitted with a ping pong table, a comfy leather couch with a Play Station, an arcade and lots of seating… Um, ‘nuf said.

This was the closest craft brewery that I could head to after completing a day of training near by.
Their tasters are $ 1 a piece and though there isn’t as large a selection as other breweries, there is enough diversity. That being said, I found their beers to be hit and miss. I tried:

16-​hour Dry Hopped Amber
English Style Summer Ale
Berliner Weisse — with Kiwi Syrup
The summer ale wasn’t what I would expect from a summer ale at all. It was dark (ish) and quite smokey. Summer beers are usually light and refreshing. The Weisse wasn’t great either. The amber was solid, nothing to write home about, but nothing to complain about either. The IPA was the best of the bunch. They also only had ¾ of a glass left in the building so they gave it to me for free. Nice.
They don’t sell pint glasses yet, so I grabbed a sticker and it can fill the void on my shelf for this brewery.
