I have to say that I rarely if at all, post reviews. I also must say that I contacted the owner first before writing this, giving an opportunity to make it right. Not what happened, unfortunately. I have NEVER hired a cleaning service, but my girlfriend talked me into it as I am a working mom and having a hard time keeping up. I found these people on craigslist and called for an estimate. The guy with whom I spoke was a co owner, they are a husband and wife team and I think they have employees as well. When I spoke to him, he was very professional and nice and he told me to look at their website for any questions I may have before they come to give an estimate. On their website it states that: New weekly and bi-weekly customers have their initial cleaning fee waived, and are only charged the maintenance cleaning price. Every cleaning is double checked against a checklist designed by you. Flexible scheduling Same house cleaner every time Convenient automatic bill payment. When Nancy arrived, promptly at 8 as planned, I asked her about this and she did not know what I was talking about-so I thought maybe I looked at the wrong site or something-so my first time cleaning was quoted $ 95 then $ 55 bi weekly thereafter. I figured I would double check this later assuming she would make it right as we needed to leave so she could get on with it, she seemed ready to get it going-nevermind a formal estimate. Here it starts. I think we had some miscommunications, but overall, I was dissastisfied. I asked if she would make the bed, she said she could put new sheets on, and I didn’t need new sheets just bed made, she didn’t because I didn’t leave out sheets even though I told her it didnt need new sheets just made. My knick knacks were moved and dusted underneath but put back awry, furniture was not vacuumed, blankets left as they were when I left, the baseboards I checked were ones she must have missed bc they were still dirty(i have pets and it was obvious), didn’t seem like bathroom rugs were shaken(she said she did shake them though and that she can’t vacuum them because they get ruined-as if I’m an idiot who has never cleaned-obviously you cant run a vacuum over bathroom rugs duh-use a hand tool on vacuum?) The«checklist» that they say is «designed by you» does not exist, beds were pushed up against the walls crimping curtains, clock unplugged and plugged back in but not re set, towels on racks were not straightened etc. She said she needed 2 to 2 and a half hours to do this, my house is small and I keep it fairly clean despite the age of the home. She was gone when we returned so we could not discuss satisfaction. I tried to call, and they have a voicemail box that has not been set up yet so I wrote an email. She replied telling me that her website is outdated and that it is my responsibility as a consumer to tell her if I disagree with anything before entering into a business relationship and that the«design checklist» is a verbal agreement(not really a checklist) not that she gave me an option to customize anything. I explained to her that I could have overlooked dissatisfication and everything, figuring we can work together, had she just honored what she advertised. Very disappointed, would not recommend to anyone! Had she done SOMETHING to make it right, I wouldn’t have written this. Instead, she was argumentative in the email, and did not honor what is on her site that HERHUSBAND/CO OWNER referred me to only a week ago! SHOCKING. Cancelled all future cleanings, she was super ok with that, and I am moving on.
