Tires Plus

Due to some of the negative reviews, I had to double-​check that I had the correct Tires Plus. I actually had a really positive experience (Cassie is who I interacted w/​, and then another gentlemen when I picked up my car whose name I don’t remember).
I just got my first car w/​a Tire Pressure System and the light has been on. The Nissan dealer said 2x sensors had low battery and wanted $ 350. Peerless said all sensors were good (external check) but the light remained on. I took my car to Tires Plus for the tiebreaker and Tires Plus said sensors were good AND since they had my keys they also checked & cleared the TPS light via the computer. I want to give it a couple days to confirm the issue is indeed fixed, but if I do end up needing new tire sensors the Tires Plus quote was half of what the dealer wanted.
On top of the sensor work, I got a safety inspection which in a low-​pressure way was communicated to me (wiper blades streaking, air filter needs replacement). I definitely feel comfortable bringing my car in next time when it needs service.

Horrible customer service. Chadd, the manager should not be facing customers. Quoted me over the phone and went over the quote in person and then wants to inspect my car and then calls me to requote with parts that we discussed on the first quote. Then when I came back in to discuss the new quote with him, he slipped out and went to lunch when he saw me. Very unprofessional and non customer centric, poor attitude. I recommend not having your vehicle service there for anything.

Not happy with my service at all. Had an appointment and an hour later they finally got my car in. Had the tires replaced and when they went to do the alignment and apparently they needed propane to heat something up and they had to go to the hardware store, add another half hour to my wait. I was also told that I could get a rebate on the Bridgstone website and when I got home I looked and i was unable to find it. Called the store, they couldn’t find it, told me to call in the morning and talk to the manager. I called the manager and he basically said google it, it will come up with rebates. Tried doing that, can’t find anything either on the tires plus site or bridgstone. For what they charged me for tires and how long the service took, i will never go back there.

I hope this makes up for the petty reviews left for things like ‘Tires Plus charged me for an actual service… geez’. Really, do you think it’s free to run a business and do you not think it’s OK to charge for a tire repair?
I had a pleasant experience. The technician talked in real world numbers when telling me that my tires were basically worn out. There wasn’t any pressure and it was just about the facts and that i actually needed a set of tires.
I compared the prices online and with Costco near by and it was basically a wash. Within $ 60 for a set of 4 tires and there was true value add from Tires Plus around road hazard warranty and lifetime rotation and balance.
I would recommend Tires Plus to my aging mother…

This will be the shortest review ever. Tried to charge me $ 33.50 to fix a simple flat tire. That’s right, 33.50 for a flat tire.
Avoid this establishment. Does not surprise me the place was empty.

Needed snow tires and the Tires Plus in Westminster CO was the only place that had the tires in stock. Have used this location for many years, for a variety of services. Thanks guys!

I have taken my car here a few times for just oil changes and every single time they try and up sell me shit I do not need and then look at me like I’m an idiot for declining. The only redeeming quality is the oil changes are reasonably priced if you don’t let them talk you in to unnecessary services.

If you need tires or a basic oil change it’s not bad. Tire prices are comparable with other local shops (Big O, Costco). Oil changes are about the same price as many other similar chains but SLOOOWWWWW even with an appointment. In fact, I agree with other reviews that report that these guys don’t even know what an appointment means.
However, do not EVER go here for other service. Ever. These guys are a HUGE rip off and not very competent beyond tires and oil changes (pretty much negating the whole «plus» in their name).
I have been quoted $ 800+ for a brake job that cost me $ 150 in parts (2 rotors, caliper, 2 sets of pads) to do myself.
I had a rough running engine and asked them to look at motor mounts. They said they were fine. Another shop of actual mechanics immediately found that three were cracked.
I got a new alternator in my car when I was new to town and didn’t have a reliable shop. It was expensive and remanufactured (of course). It died 360 days later (as crappy remanufactured parts will do) and they were unable to find me in their system due to it being paid for partly through a 3^rd party warranty service. They finally did locate my warranty info and I got it replaced (this raises my review to two stars).
Months later, my lights were flickering and I suspected the alternator was going again. I had it tested at two different places (another local shop and a parts store) and both tests indicated a charging system failure. I brought it back since it was under warranty and was told (after 5 hours of leaving my car there) that it tested fine and «other things could cause flickering lights so we recommend changing your spark plug wires.»
Really?
I told them nope and I’d take it to another shop and have it replaced at my own cost. They then told me that they’d go ahead and «push it through» and gave me another crappy remanufactured no-​name alternator. When I returned to pick up the car I was lectured that they only did this to keep me happy as a customer and they’d have to eat the price of the part (right), and they made me sign something that said they wouldn’t replace it again unless it tested bad at their shop. I asked for the old alternator, telling them I’d go get it tested and get a signed note from another shop so they could get their money back from whatever dump they bought it from. Of course, they refused.
Again, if you need tires, it’s not a bad choice. If you need an oil change, not bad but not great. if you need actual auto repairs go to Mag Co at 2005 W Midway Blvd, Broomfield, CO 80 020. (303) 460‑0218. Those guys are the best, know what they are doing, and don’t overcharge.
Oh, the alternator that I said was bad that they only changed «to make me happy?» It fixed the problem. Guess it wasn’t the spark plug wires!

UNNECCESSARY AND COSTLY REPAIRS, beware!!! We took our car in for an oil change and tire rotation and were told it needed $ 750 worth of brake worth and work to repair an oil leak. We received a second opinion only to find out that tires plus had never even taken the car apart to accurately assess the brakes. In addition there was no oil leak-​the oil light on the dashboard had never come on and there was no evidence of oil leaking on the driveway or the car smoking. When we picked up the car we also found that they did not do the oil change.

Worst experience. We thought we would try something new (closer to home) for our oil changes. I called to get quotes with coupons and made appointments. When I arrived with the first car they said they would need it all day (even though I made an appt). Then when I paid, they charged me higher than previously quoted on the phone. They did adjust it but then when we got our car home, it was leaking oil. We had to take it back to get fixed. Then our second car they tried to charge us more than quoted. And they also didn’t have my appointment listed. After leaving, we discovered a transmission fluid leak. While we don’t think they were the cause they noticed bolts missing and instead of telling us they wrote «missing bolts» on the pan with an arrow! Professional? Hardly, we will NEVER take our cars there Again.

Expect a longer wait than they estimate. 3 times here and they are always about 30 min late. Annoying.

I purchased a set of tires for my car here. The service was fast easy and very professional. I was explained the difference in the tires and even shown what I was buying. I explained my driving needs to Chadd and he helped me pick out the perfect tires. I am happy with my purchase and the service I received. I will return to purchase my next set of tires. Definitely recommend this location.

I needed an oil change and was up early and in the area. I used to go to Tires Plus when I lived in another state and always had great service. The man at the counter was very friendly and I was in and out in no time. It was not until I got home that I was upset about my service. My tires have plastic caps that cover the lug nuts. The technician failed to take the time to snap them properly into place. When I arrived home, a mere few blocks away, one was missing entirely and 2 I had to snap properly into place myself. It is not something that is difficult and if so little time was taken to complete this properly, it makes me wonder what else was skipped. I will not be returning.

Absolutely positively the WORST experience I’ve ever had getting my oil changed. Made an appointment for 2 O’clock, showed up and they quote me an hour for an oil change. 90 minutes later, they pull the car around, and charged me $ 80. So this place is expensive, and time consuming; but that’s not all.
On the way home, my check engine light went on, and the car stalled, IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY. The incompetent mechanics at this Tires Plus forgot to reattach a vacuum hose.
AT MY OWN EXPENSE, I had the car towed 20 miles back to Tires Plus where they reattached the hose and apologized for their mistake. ALL THAT THEY OFFERED ME WAS AN APOLOGY, no refund, no offer to reimburse me for my towing costs NOTHING.
DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR TO THIS SHOP UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES

I called ahead about having a battery replaced in my 4Runner. They told me the battery would cost $ 99 and the service fee would be $ 15. I verified that the my total bill would be $ 114 before tax and they said YES. I asked how long it would take if I came in now and was told 30 – 45 minutes max. (Toyota is $ 99 total for everything, but this place is more convenient and supposedly shorter wait.) I left after I hung up the phone and was there in 5 minutes. I then waited for 15 minutes in the lobby with a group of people until some guy came out and started helping people. After another 10 minutes it was my turn and I told him I called about getting a battery replaced. The guy told me I’d have to leave the car for 4 – 5 hours because they’ve been backed up all day. When I told him what was said over the phone, he said ‘well that was 30 minutes ago, a lot can happen in 30 minutes’. Yeah, like waiting in your lobby while you finished your KFC! I figured I’d still leave the car because I could get a ride home, but then he tells me the cost would be $ 149 for the battery, $ 25 for the battery and system test, $ 14 for battery disposal, $ 19 to test the new battery (what?), and $ 15 for installation. So, basically everything they told me over the phone was a complete lie. $ 222 vs $ 114. 4 – 5 hours vs. 30 – 45 minutes.
I told the guy with his greasy chicken fingers that I would just go to Toyota where I usually go and pay $ 99 and wait about an hour. He then told me that I would spend the price difference in gas getting there. What customer service! I told him only a blithering moron would think it cost $ 108 to drive 15 miles round trip. So, I left.
Later in the afternoon I got a call from the guy I originally spoke with on the phone (he took my name and number) and asked if I was still planning to bring my car in. I told him what happened and he made some excuses. When I asked him how $ 114 turned into $ 222 and how 30 – 45 minutes turned into 4 – 5 hours, he said ‘you know, prices fluctuate and we’re a busy shop.’ He then hung up to me!

My husband took his car into this store and they told him he needed at least $ 400. in work to his brakes. He left and went to another brake store and they told him his brakes were fine and did not need any work. HMMMM yeah don’t trust these people after this.

So here are the good parts, as few as there are. They accepted my coupon, 23 dollars for an oil change. Not a bad price. The lobby was clean. The guy was friendly.
Here are the bad parts, as numerous as they are.
First off, the counter guy signed me up for a credit card without informing me it was a credit card. He called it something along the lines of a VIP members card and never once mentioned it was a credit card until he handed me a sheet of paper that had information about APR and payment terms. At that point I said,“is this a credit card, because if it is, I don’t want it”. He replied in the positive and then stood there for like 10 minutes trying to figure out how to cancel it because it already went through. In the end he said it was canceled before my credit was checked and I’m hoping he is right.
They came back with a laundry list of things that they said needed servicing. Of course they’re going to say tires and I’ll need new tires soon. No disagreement there. They said I needed a coolant flush, which I got 6 months ago elsewhere. Not cool. Trans flush, that’s fine to recommend, I may need one of those as well. Here’s the best part, and I hope you’re sitting down. They wanted FIFTY DOLLARS to change TWO light bulbs, a taillamp bulb and the license plate bulb. At that point I laughed to myself and politely left. All in all, they wanted 1500 dollars from me.
If you’ve got a coupon for a cheap oil change, go ahead and use it. As for anything else they say you need, just smile and leave. Their prices are exorbitant.

I had my oil changed here in Febuary 2010. Great service, friendly staff, and limited upsells. The promptly called when the service was done. Only downside was that they left my car unlocked in the lot… Not a deal breaker. I was very pleased and would definitely return.

Pretty high Service level. They are very punctual at this location and have a clean comfortable waiting area as well as a nearby starbucks and some stores which are great to kill time.
I like that they don’t try to sell me wipers or an air filter when I have my oil changed there. They have also let me in back at my request to talk to the actual mechanic working on the car, who explained to me in detail everything they were going to do if I chose a certain service.
They do sell tires and will try to sell you a set a little prematurely if you let them.
