The first two times I went here there wasn’t ample food but I got what I wanted. The last time I got food poisoning.(definitely never coming here ever again in my life even if it’s free) I threw up a few times after eating here, because the food was probably out for too long and had gone bad. I didn’t Unilocal back then so I didn’t read the review below about how they don’t keep the temperatures warm enough and how they failed inspection Do not eat here for the love of humanity please. Learn from my mistake.

Be careful eating here. The buffet is not warmed up to regulation or code. Also, while we were sitting there, the waitress was cleaning the tables and the walls with the same rag out of a bucket filled with dirty water. Very unsanitary. Upon further investigation, found out that this restaurant didn’t pass their health inspection and had to be reinspected. Sanitation and health codes are not a priority here.

So i only order take out from this place because in 2006 i had a bad experience with the buffet and so did a few ppl i know! the ONLY reason i still patron this place is because their prices are great, the takeout menu food is good & plentiful and they are the only place that sell a black pepper chicken lunch special! the veggie mei fun is good also! ps… they also deliver!

We stopped in this afternoon around 3:30. I ordered some tea and two drinks, along with our kid buffet and 2 adult buffets. The place was empty except for an elderly couple which I did not find all that odd since it was off peak hours. We went up and had a hard time finding much we wanted to try. Everything was nearly empty. We managed to scrounge up a few things as we passed the giant sign telling us we would be charged for any wasted food. My son grabbed a piece of fried fish,(cold and oily) some General So’s Chicken(really sesame chicken without sesame as there was no spice,) and 10 or 11 wrinkled green beans. He managed to swallow it all. My hubby tried the fish and could not do it. It smelled off to him but managed a few bites of the greasy noodles. I put a room temperature stuffed clam on my plate, a few pieces of overdone and room temp peel and eat shrimp, and some steamers. I spit out the first steamer and the clam. They were cold and dry. I decided to avoid the seafood and went back. By then, they put some new crab out but I was too nervous to try any more seafood so I grabbed the little rice left in the rice cooker, some crispy unlabeled meat, and wrinkled green beans. It was all luke warm to cold. My son did not want another plate. The waitress came over and took my two plates of uneaten food and my husband’s nearly full plate as my husband went to speak to the manager. The manager told us to just pay and leave if we don’t like it. I took her to the bar and told her to check the clam temp… she refused. I opened the empty rice cooker and she peered in as though there was rice only she could see. She told me that since we ate, we would pay. I informed her that we did not eat, but I would of course pay for my son, who did. She repeatedly confirmed this with the waitress. I did not know that they had such a problem with lying customers that the waitress had to confirm every word they said. Not good enough. I walked her through every station and she told us to just find stuff that was hot or wait for more stuff to come out. When I mentioned that the Health Department needs to make an unexpected visit on off peak hours, she saw my side immediately and acted like she did us a wonderful favor by just charging us for one adult buffet and the drinks. My husband is filling out the Health Department form as I write this. As long as you like to wait for them to put food in the food bins, don’t worry about food borne illness, think it is normal for a manager to tell a person to find –something– else on their limited buffet, and want to eat every bite on your plate in fear of being charged for every gross bite you decide against… you will truly enjoy your experience here.

Might get three stars if the ratio of fried to wok’d foods went down. Lots of breaded and fried items. And I will agree that the Maki was cheap with no real seafood in them. The waitress was your typical small, high-strung type who whisked away plates without asking and passed out beverages from the wrong end of the table. Fills a hole but not impressed.

This place started out ok but now I wouldn’t feed this food to my enemies dogs. They clearly don’t even care what they are putting out. Don’t waste your time blech…

This was my first time going to an Asian restaurant here in Jersey. So from the start I already had mixed feelings; will it be good; are they clean; is this the same caliber as the ones in Cali? For eight dollars, I was thinking it would be ok. I was right! The food was mediocre. Not much selection. On some of the entrees, canned vegetables were used. What happened to cooking with fresh items? This is what u get for paying 8 dollars on a buffet. You get crap. In a nutshell, I’ve eaten dog food(yes I really have) better than best buffets dishes. If you are really hungry and desperate, this is the place for you. Otherwise, you are better off going to the nearby fast food joint.

Not far from the base… food selection was not a lot. Food seemed to be heavy. California rolls were dried out. I can say a couple of good dishes like the spinach and seafood.

Newsflash – Buffets that are not in Vegas at the Bellagio w/scored King Crab legs still make me feel worse afterwards! Funny, they always seem like a good idea going in… This place was close to where I was going for class, the only reason I elected to go, plus peer pressure(I know, I caved… what can I say?). Anyway, it was exactly what I thought a rural NJ chinese buffet would be – not so good. Go to the Bamboo House if you want close to base Asian food. It’s not Chinese, but it’s waaay better(get the Thai food).

The majority of the Buffet food is barely warm, which leads me to think that I run the risk of food borne illness. Additionally, the food seems to have been sitting in the buffet trays for quite a while, which again raises a red flag regarding food borne illness. Stopped in here tonight with my son and about halfway through our dinner, I stopped eating and stopped him from eating, not wanting to put us at any more risk than I had already done. Spoke with the waitresses about the quality and temperature of the food, they called the manager, and was given a 20% discount. Great. That’ll help if I get sick later this evening. Will not be back, and I recommend staying away from this place. The Burlington County Health Dept needs to pay this place a visit. VERY risky to have a meal at Best Buffet in Browns Mills. If I could give no stars, I would.

Yes, I go to buffets because I can eat and don’t get too fat! I do gain some pounds though, but this does not concern me. I walk my dog 2x daily and occassionally exercise, so no worries there. Jealous? Don’t be because I did not get the best out of the Best Buffet Restaurant. I was courageous to have the Best Buffet. All the foods fit in my body because there is not much of a selection. In my opinion, it’s a regular all you can eat buffet. The adult for lunch is priced at $ 7.45, and dinner is priced at $ 10.85. Not a bad price for all you can eat food. On my second visit, I just ordered an individual dish, and I am more than satisfied with the portion I get. For a pint size of mei fun(rice) noodles at $ 4, the shrimps were large and plentiful. The servings certainly surprised me and I am really pleased with it.

Unlike the other people that reviewed this place, I thought it was great! We went here for lunch and for $ 8 I got all I can eat including this really good crab with cheese casserole thing. I thought this was a really good idea for a lunch spot because you don’t have to wait at all for your food and that helps a lot when you are on a short lunch break. It wasn’t the best Chinese food I ever had but it was well worth the $ 8. Stop by for lunch.

I would just like to preface this review by mentioning it is close to Fort Dix/McGuire AFB, and I witnessed at least 4 men and women in uniform in the single hour I was there, so the mere fact an American-Chinese place is located in the area provides much needed variety for them. However, it is one of the worst of its kind in the whole county. The selection is minor, only one and a half rows, and many are the kind you can find at the average American-Chinese venue, such as General Tso’s, lo mein, and the Jello-pudding-ice cream combo at the dessert bar. Furthermore, the quality of some of them ranged from bland(some chicken I can’t even remember) to atrocious(the cheese-and-imitation-crab-…thing). A few dishes were also cool(though not cold), and the ice cream apparently missed the ‘cream’ memo. Still, they had a rare(in NJ) Singaporean noodle dish that wasn’t bad, the hot and sour soup was good and egg drop soup perfectly average, which is fine with me.(I dare someone to find me a gourmet egg drop soup.) Plus, none of the shrimp were dry, shriveled, uncooked, or overcooked, there was a(small) variety of vegetables, and the apple pie dessert was surprisingly delicious, fresh and flaky and sprinkled with sesame seeds. Finally, a shout out to the sushi bar. Though there was too much rice, and the quality is lower than a redneck’s IQ, we shared a full plate of them, and I particularly enjoyed the eel. So, for $ 8 a lunch special, go ahead and give the poor bored waitresses something to do if you aren’t feeling too picky.
