I wasn’t pleased with what I thought to be country soul food in a southern restaurant… fell short on that end.

I was on a road trip to Florida, and this place was within walking distance of my hotel. Just as I got there, five tour busloads of people, mostly fat women with unruly children, arrived and beat me to the door;. It was armed combat in the buffet lines, but the staff worked hard to keep fresh food coming. Once I was able to get some food, it turned out to be surprisingly good, especially the vegetables.

Food really good. My companion was in heaven to see sweet potatoes, fresh crackling & pork skins. Shrimp, chicken and salad bar very good. Sauce for the pork was very yummy. Dessert was just ok. Veggies and beans where really good. We would come back. Waitresses were friendly.

If you like greens, okra & tomato, cornbread, pork & chicken this is place. This is not a quiet romantic restaurant, it’s like a rowdy, kid filled, southern food party. Come hungry.

Very nice staff, good Southern vibe, I really enjoyed the food. Fresh fried squash, fantastic pork. The fried catfish was perfect!

The restaurant could use a mayor update, it’s old and dingy. The food is nasty, reminds me of eating at a school cafeteria. Actually I think eating at a cafeteria would be better. Their«famous chili» might be famous for it bad taste.

So disappointed ate there on Mother’s Day and it was awful. The food was bland and most of the stuff on the buffet I wouldn’t eat. There is another Olé Times Buffet closer to my house and we love it there. This one though was a total waste of 60 $. The best thing about it was the soda. The waitress was nice and friendly so I will say that but the food was yuck!

We stopped in here on seafood night and it was amazing! The amount of fish on the bars blew me away! They even had bone-in catfish, which was my favorite. I can’t speak for what they have on other nights, but seafood night was fantastic. Servers were polite and did a good job clearing plates when we were done.

Chef Ramsey would describe everything about this place as bland. Bland service, bland atmosphere, bland taste. Most of the food just isn’t tasty. Some you can tell is straight from a can. That’s especially true for dessert. You can’t full me with that from a can pudding we used to have in the after school program. If you are searching for true representation of southern food, go elsewhere. If you’re just into bellying up to the buffet, you’re at home.

Overrated. Salty fried chicken and lack of salt in roast chicken. Doesn’t have name tags for the foods being served. For instance, I don’t eat pork but I was just about to take some pork(fried chicken) look alike dish. Waiters were friendly and told me about the dishes when being asked.

A Local favorite but I don’t know why. Perhaps it was better at one point and time. It’s sort of like a bad buffet at an all-inclusive resort in Cancun or one of the islands. Best to move on and not think about it.

$ 8.49 for Saturday lunch buffet! Typical southern style. They have great service here, and a lot of options for food. If you are a fan of BBQ ribs like I am, you should come here and eat as many ribs and you can!

This Southern food buffet is a great addition to restaurant options in Brunswick. We’ve found excellent food in the area(Nick’s buffet and Gary Lee’s Market are also great choices in town), but scant restaurants, so it’s good to see another place doing well. This is a large restaurant with lots of seating, so, even though it often looks busy, finding a seat wasn’t a problem when we visited. Service is efficient and friendly, and they keep the hot trays full… fried chicken came out twice during our brief lunch. The chicken, pulled pork and fried catfish were all very good, and the sides I tried were all excellent. Desserts were also very tasty.

There wasn’t anything I tried that I didn’t really like. My only regret is that I couldn’t eat more! The fried catfish had a really nice cornmeal crust on it. The fried chicken was solid. I liked the pulled pork quite a bit but longed for some better sauces. It didn’t matter much because it really didn’t need sauce. They had a ton of great sides and plenty without carbs. Lots of greens and beans. It was friendly and comfortable and I can’t wait to come back and stuff myself again.

Nine dollars for buffet all day Sunday?! Count me IN! Fried chicken, fried catfish, collard greens, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, ribs, etc. You get the point. This place was delicious. Trust me, I come from a buffet loving family i.e. Ponderosa, Sizzler, Pizza Hut, lots of roadtrips. This place has won numerous awards throughout the years for best buffet and now I know why. I’m surprised theres not more reviews about this hidden little gem. Great Southern food at an inexpensive price. There’s a salad bar and dessert bar as well. Yum.

Oh yea. This place has a great spread of fresh cooked food that is very good. Excellent choice for a variety ranging from fried/grilled chicken, fish, ribs, good variety of fresh vegetables. Good sweat tea and large selection of deserts. If the waitress was more timely with refills and had a pleasant attitude(even crack a smile) I would have given this place five stars.
