Walked in sat down, no one greeted us for 5 minutes not even the guy fixing the prep area acknowledged us. Got up and left.

By far the worst restaurant experience EVER! Nothing against the service but the food was something that appeared to have been cooked by someone that has never stepped foot in a kitchen. Bacon was charred. Eggs were dry and had the black charred pieces stuck from the bacon and other stuff off the griddle. Pancakes looked like they were precooked and dropped on the floor before someone walked over them. I can sum up my experience in 1 word«YUCK». Did give them more than 1 chance to redeem themselves because I am all for local business and s**t. But, alas, both times you have disappointed me and failed miserably. The picture says it all.

Was here for breakfast after staying at the oak tree inn next door. People were very friendly and the place is very cute and clean. The food was disappointing. Pancakes were rubbery and flavorless, no real butter, a must for pancakes. Hash browns were typical sysco frozen plain shredded potatoes, no flavor. Omelets were bland. It’s too bad because the inn was a great find and we were excited to have a diner so conveniently located next door.

It was the traditional diner experience. My buddy and I sat at the counter, ordered breakfast food in the afternoon(it was solidly good), got service from a friendly waitress, and the food came pretty quickly.

Open 24 hours. Classic diner. Classic diner food. Generous portions including 8oz burgers. Meatloaf is made from scratch on premises. New building is retro diner. Clean, bright and welcoming. Friendly staff. Looking forward to returning to try the other items on the menu. Yes, the green beans are canned, but, hey, it’s a diner! :-)

This is the second time I’ve been to Pennys diner. The first time was for milkshakes, which were just chocolate milk. I thought maybe the food would be better… I was wrong. First the prices for a diner are way too much and the service is way too slow. I ordered the Fish Fillet sandwich which according to their menu is served on a hoagie roll with tarter sauce. Well all I got was a smashed hamburger bun which is way too small compared to the size of the fish and no sauce. Two of my kids got the build your own burger and even though on the menu you choose the condiments like ketchup and mustard, they didn’t put any of it on. My daughter ordered the Reuben sandwich and it was so flat and you couldn’t even tell there was sauerkraut on it. For the price of that sandwich it should’ve been loaded with meat and sauerkraut. I think their main staple is Breakfast but I will never go back to try it.

Plain food, great prices, good service, bright shiny new interior. Everything you’d expect from a diner. We were able to have breakfast in the afternoon which pleased us. Condiments on the table to spice up food that’s probably good for children and older adults. Coffee could be stronger. Good bacon and sausage and hashbrowns. Lots of fun memorabilia to decorate the diner designed ala’ railroad car. It’s about a 25 minute drive for us but we will definitely come back if we were in the area

Food was mediocre, and the service was very very slow… They were cooking one ticket at a time, took forever to get the food

First time trying Penny’s Diner and we really enjoyed our meal. I’ve always liked watching my food being cooked as I can see them as I sit there. A young girl cooked for us and I could tell that she loved cooking for people and when you are served any meal that was made with Love in their heart, you betcha its going to be EXCELLENT. And it was… totally satisfaction. Cheers to that lady and her young baseball son.

It’s a little better than okay. I’ll eat here again. Food was prepped in a reasonable amount of time. I had the«Ranch Breakfast» — country fried steak, 2 eggs, hashbrowns, toast. Steak was bland, as was the gravy. The cook did the eggs right. Sunny side up can be tricky to time but he did a good job. Toast was fresh. Hashbrowns a little undercooked but I should have specified them to be done extra crispy for my liking. I won’t order this dish again but I’ll give them more chances to improve upon this. It was clean and bright, and good service. Coffee was very good.

Kind of an «It’ll do» place if you’re traveling Route 340 after 9:00p.m. and would prefer a reuben over a Big Mac.

I was excited about a new diner coming to brunswick– I’ve had up and down experience with this place, I’ve came in at breakfast hour and had wonderful pancakes, bacon, and eggs– I’ve came in for dinner to get French toast and it tasted like a cheeseburger– I don’t think they properly clean the grill after each meal is served– the cook also doesn’t wear a hair net or a net for his beard so the chance of me eating hair is likely– things I would modify. Chicken tenders are way over cooked normally because they have one cook for the whole place and he can’t watch everything.

Brunswick area really needs a decent diner. too bad this place sucks… the building is new and nice the concept great but this place is a disjointed mess. the total lack of management and training had destroyed any chance of success. I tried the place three times hoping for a good experience only to find each visit worse than the last. The total failure of the staff to get an order correct and to the table before it cold as ice has proven to be an impossible task. until some basic management arrives to straighten the cluster F out .this place is a definite no go

Kids love the milkshakes. I’ve only been there twice, and tried a couple of items. Both times the chef was different, but the food was consistent. He took special care to ask my kids what they thought of the breakfast platter. The waitress on our second trip was a tad scattered, so they could really tighten up the standards. But that being said, the place is new and LOCAL, so I will be back!

I normally like diners but this place is just«ok». Kind of weird watching your food get made right in front of you. Servers and cook had disagreements on tickets right next to our booth. I can say it was a little awkward. Food wasn’t great by any means. Tried it but won’t go back. Gave 2 stars instead of 1 because the server was very nice. I would go somewhere else.

We had a great experience here. Glad there’s another option to eat in the area, as there are not many. Clean, good service, everyone enjoyed their food. Chop steak mashed pot, Ruben, omelet, burger. All delicious !!!

Food was great. Service was terrible. We had to ask server several times for drink refills, etc. We are locals and had hoped for a better experience since there are not a lot of options in town. Server was unfriendly and took no pride in delivering any type of positive experience. Hopefully management will address.
