I have been to this lane a few times before and haven’t had any problems. That all changed tonight. 23Jan2016 I went to Yankee lanes with my wife to bowl a couple of games. The Cook was rude, the bartender was rude, and then my second and final game was cut short at the second throw of the last frame. I paid for two games. The screen said that our prepaid limit was reached and the lane light shut off. I went to the desk and asked for help and the lady told me that they would fix it. I waited about 15 mins and no change. I went back to the desk and complained. I informed them that I only had one more frame to bowl and then I can leave. The lady reaffirmed that I was on lane 10 and then she said she would take care of it. I waited about another 5 mins and some drunk a**h*** from the lane beside us took my ball and went to another lane with it, so I had enough. My wife and I took our shoes back to the desk and left. I can’t believe the frustration of tonight. I feel that Yankee lanes owes me a free game or two for the pain in the a**. That said I probably wouldn’t go back anyway. I will find somewhere else to spend my money and time and make sure to let others know about the lack professionalism of Yankee Lanes.

GREATPLACEFORBIRTHDAYS!!! We just had my sons 8th birthday party at Yankee Lanes. First of all the place is very clean and looks brand new inside. The table set up was cute and really didn’t need anything extra unless you wanted a theme. The pizza was good and the kids had a blast. I think the price was very reasonable as well, I couldn’t have provided food drink and an activity at home for the amount it costs for the whole party! It’s also very nice to pay per head at the end then you don’t end up paying for people who said they were coming and couldn’t!

I was disappointed that we were unable to bring a cake for a birthday get together. Even upon offering to pay the birthday party rate, where a cake is provided, we still would have brought our own. Overall it was clean and spacious. The bumpers are easy to put up and do and they have the cutest ramps to assist young bowlers. I do suggest a few more smaller balls. There were a lot of children bowling the evening we went and no balls available under 8 pounds. They offer some great deals certain days. I strongly suggest checking the website for specials as the regular price is a bit high. Overall it was clean, well maintained and everything was in good shape.

Great, safe and convent place to bring my family. I wish the bathrooms were more updated but overall we love it here!

2.5 stars is silliness. Old reviews. This is a fantastic place to bowl. The bar is exquisite, the staff is warm and accommodating.

I like to bowl. The lanes are in good shape and machinery worked well. Personally I don’t like all of the bright colors and flashing lights. Some people were more interested in jumping around to the music and talking with friends and not actually the game of bowling. We were there on a Sat afternoon and the bar and snack bar were closed and didn’t open until 4:30?

Disclaimer: This review is for a night of tanked karaōke, and not for bowling. In the fall of 2005, I was a college senior looking to bond with my Starbucks coworkers. Our mutual love of karaōke was discovered, and some how it was planned that we should venture to Yankee Lanes for an action-packed Friday night of drunken madness. A bowling alley by day(and by night, I think there were people rockin’ the lanes well past 10 pm), Yankee lanes offers karaōke, I think on Friday and Saturday nights. Thankfully for everyone involved, the karaōke bar/room is separated from the alley and contained in its own room. Not that I’m not Billie Holiday’s long-lost descendant, but you never know how my rendition of Girls Just Wanna Have Fun will go over when I’ve had a few Sam Adams and a few shots of tequila. Good thing we pregamed with beers at my friend’s place, and a tequila sunrise in a 7 – 11 Big Gulp cup in the car, since the drinks at the bar are pretty weak. But… I do vaguely remember 25 cent jello shots. And, this bar is BYOB(at least if you rock it like we do). My Sam Adams Pale Ale made the trip in in my coat pocket. Cold winters In Maine are good for something! I also remember mullets and 35 year old(plus) women in Wet Seal halters. And trying to sing Love Shack with my friend who was too drunk to read the screen. And an eighty year old dude(no joke) hitting on my friend Jean and being given the number to the reject hotline. And wishing I had found these awesome people and this sweet ass redneck establishment sometime before my senior year.
