I love coming to Carter’s Burgers. They are always friendly and consistent with the quality of food they put out. I think the portions can sometimes be small but they have really good food. I love the fact they have so many deals available through apps like Hooked and coupons. Aside from that their half priced burgers on Tuesdays is also a great deal. Compared to Whataburger next door, Carters is faster, better tasting and consistent. That last one is important to me! Also you can get an ice cream cone and that’s how I love to finish a meal lol

My Wife and I went to Carter burger for lunch on 4.11.16. We’ve eaten there before but it’d been a minute. The place was clean and we met the tail end of the lunch rush. My Wife ordered the turkey burger with tots and I had the 1⁄3 pound burger with jalapeño jack and bacon plus cheese tots. Our food came about ten minutes or so after we ordered. Everything was hot and seemed fresh too. We liked our meals and my Wife couldn’t believe the taste of her turkey burger. She said it was one of the best she’s eaten. Our tots were piping hot and not mushy but not hard as rock. Just firm enough outside and soft inside like they should be. We’ll definitely go back and try other items on the menu. You want an old fashioned burger give them a try.

This is probably my favorite place to get a burger in all of Bryan/College Station. Every time I have eaten there, I’ve never been disappointed. My husband, who also loves Carter’s, says their burgers are the best in town. They have so many different options if you aren’t wanting a transitional burger and all of it is so reasonable. My personal favorite is the Carter Burger with cheese. All the veggies are fresh and my burger is always done right. Carter’s has really fast service and they are always so friendly.

I wanted to like this place when I walked in I’m like yeah it’s clean and inviting. The chic that took our order was rude no smile just ready to take your order and go flirt with the guys making the food ok whatever not my business but when you repeat my order back to me and then tell me you can upgrade my fried to chili cheese fries and bring me out normal fries not cool. It was funny though because both girls working the counter could not get a single order right that we saw(my husband was with) I do love that they serve blue bell and the girl that made our Sundae was so sweet and did her best which was awesome! I might come back! Would like to try their burger!

Great burger place and they have the best veggie burger in town! They also have half priced burgers after 5pm on Tuesdays and that includes the veggie burger. Just keep in mind there are a select few that are half priced. Seasoned fries are yummy, too and the have a few more fried options loke tater tots and onion rings. They also serve Blue Bell… can’t go wrong here :)

I love to come here. Reasonably priced, friendly staff and yummy food. Can’t ask for more. My favorite is the chili cheese burger. They have ½ burgers on Tuesdays which is great, as well are part of the special«Greg’s text deal» that offers by one get one free burgers or combos or $ 2 off.

Went there for the Tuesday half off burgers but it turns out the only certain burgers are half off not all of them. They should make that more clear on their advertising and menus. Anyways I ordered a burger to go and it took about 20 min to come out. The burger itself was flavorful but the patty is thin and dry. Their fries are really except that give you such a small portion when you order to go. It’s like 6 fries and you are finished with the them! Too much wait for such low quality. Maybe if it had been faster I could understand the quality. It has a nice amount of seating inside and a small patio outside in case you want to sit outside and get devoured by the mosquitoes.

I went with a group and I was the first to order, the rest of the group was a few minutes behind. They took 30 minutes to bring out my chicken sandwich. The rest of the group had already finished eating by the time I got my food. Out of a group of 5, 2 of our orders were wrong. The staff was very unapologetic about everything and made some BS excuse that the chicken takes longer to cook than the burgers when they clearly just forgot my order. The food was very average, nothing special. I will definitely not be back. Grub, Mickeys Sliders, Koppe Bridge are all much better than this.

Carter’s is the only fast-food place I’ve found in town(so far) that has a veggie burger. The patty looks to me just like a Gardenburger patty, and the burger in general is pretty underwhelming. But it’s convenient vegetarian fast-food, which is pretty much non-existent in this town. Tuesdays are ½ price burger night, which sweetens the deal a little.

At first I was tempted to get their A1 Steak Sauce Burger topped with an onion ring. Instead, I opted for another specialty burger consisting of mustard, barbeque sauce, grilled onions, cheese, bacon and a ¼ lb patty. It was one of the nore note-woethy burgers in my life. I am definitely impressed with my first taste of Carter’s and will be back for more. Nixon the Super Pup noted how impressed I was with the burger, as I inhaled it on their PETFRIENDLY patio, not looking down at his poor, sad, hungry face even once until said burger was gone. Also noteworthy, on Mondays and Wednesdays, scoops of Blue Bell Ice cream oar just 50 cents at Carters. Nixon and I couldn’t resist a scoop.

Came here on Tuesday because friend wanted to try the half-off burger special. I got the Turkey Melt Combo($ 6.50 daily combo for Tuesday). Friend got the Firecracker Burger(spicy bbq sauce, bacon, jalapenos). Said it was cold but good after he heated it up. As for me, the Turkey Melt was alright. It was just a normal grilled deli sandwich with bacon. They gave me an option of fries, fried okra, or tater tots as sides, which was pretty cool. Since I got Layne’s for lunch and Mcdonald’s for breakfast, I feel like I should have opted for the okra. At least then I could say I ate some veggies… ugh. Time to hit the gym.

Came here twice now for their half price burgers on Tuesday(5-close). The 1⁄3 lb, ¼ lb, Little Texan, gardenburger, doubles, and triples are half off but the other more gourmet burgers are the same price. Prices are normally $ 3 – 5, so half off is such a steal. The burgers themselves are a very satisfyingly large size. Definitely Texas sized burgers. I ordered the Maverick(¼ lb) burger both times. They let you decide to have all the veggies or not(lettuce, tomatoes, pickles) and ask if you want mayo or mustard all the way. It’s nice that they ask. Ketchup is on the side, though. Also, I think it’s nice that you can have it on a wheat bun. You can also get your onions grilled or add cheese for a small extra charge. The burger itself tasted good and was not full of fatty parts or tendon or non-meat parts. The diameter of the burger patty fits the bun, which I think should always be the case. It seems cheap if a burger joint gives you a patty smaller than the bun, which basically hides the main component of the burger. The vegetables were fresh and the amount of mustard slathered on was plenty(which I liked, although people impartial to mustard may prefer wiping some off). The flavor was good as a burger should be, and it was not greasy. I ordered the sweet potato fries the first time and the seasoned fries the second time. What caught my eye was the crinkle cut of the sweet potato fries! Hadn’t seen this cut in a while, so my interest was piqued. The fries were delicious, sweet and creamy. The texture was fried to a soft crisp. Similarly, the seasoned fries were just as delicious. These were cut straight and seasoned with some black pepper spice mix. It was very tasty and my BF wanted to go back the next day to eat the fries all by themselves. The cashiers and cooks look primarily like college students from town, which is great. There is a youthful, fun, and customer-friendly atmosphere about these student workers. They are very accommodating and nice. The space is clean and spacious. They also sell Blue Bell ice cream for a very very affordable price. Every day from 2−4pm is «Happy Hour» where ice cream plus a soda is only $ 1, or $ 1.50 for a double scoop plus soda. My favorite deal is the Wednesday ice cream special: only 50 cents for a scoop! Additionally, there is a coupon online for a free waffle cone with any ice cream purchase. I got two scoops plus a waffle cone for only $ 1. What a deal! I definitely want to return to get the Half-off burgers, try the vegetarian and turkey burgers, try the chicken fried steak plate/burger, get more ice cream, and try their smothered tater tots. This place is one of my favorite places to eat out in College Station now. Great price, great service, great selection, great atmosphere.

How let down. My Dad was in from out of town and wanted to show him how local businesses are better than chains. We stopped by for the Tuesday 50% off night and ordered all of this wonderful stuff that I just uploaded photos of, just look how nice it looks. The burgers were served cold and the meat was so dry that one edge of it cut my lip. We asked for a manager to visit our table and she told us that on Tuesdays that they do so much business that they have to precook everything as their grill is not large enough to make fresh burgers. We should have asked for a refund and left but since the answer was honest we did not and we will not go back. If they have been in business since the ’70 they have had time to upgrade to a grill to cook fresh food instead of serving cold dried out meat. Here’s what I paid for bacon, one single broken thin piece on a cold dried out burger; Rip Off! & Yuck. Good Bye Carter’s, loved you in the past but this ain’t gonna work.

This place is really good! They have alot of different kind of burgers that you can get. I got the beach burger and it had avocado, ranch, and bacon and it was wonderful! It is very inexpensive and they have blue bell ice cream there. Also there is happy hour from 3 – 4 where you can get any size drink for a dollar or a scoop of ice cream for a dollar. Guess I will be going there during happy hour :)

Texas Burger was closed for an extended length of time – more than a year– during construction of the Tejas Center, southwest corner of Villa Mark and Texas Avenue, and upgrading of the southwest parking lot infrastructure. It reopened with attractive wood booths, a new counter, outdoor wrought-iron seating, and attractively upgraded restrooms. The overall impression was upscale burger joint. The veggie burger is the conventional Gardenburger, but not overcooked.(Next visit I’ll ask about getting grilled onions.) With each batch made fresh to order and always arriving sizzling hot, sides include sweet potato fries and seasoned fries, the latter done right even for my spice cravings. For the meat-eaters, Carter’s offers a varied and creative menu, including the beach burger(ranch, bacon, avocado) and the Swiss jalapenio burger(swiss cheese, jalapenos, bacon) plus the regular burger condiments. True to its Texas roots, Carter’s prepares shakes from Blue Bell ice cream and they’ll dip you a cone or cup for dessert.

I think they paid 4 dollars each for.theirs. the staff is friendly and the location is pretty convenient to the rest of the B/CS area. I’d check it out again for sure!

I really, really, really appreciate when restaurants take the boring old burger and try to make it different. I mean, give me more options! Carter’s does that, and although it may take me forever to decide what I want, at least I know I’ll be happy with what I get. I believe they even have ½ price burgers on Tuesday. Pretty awesome.

The husband and I stopped by Carter’s today for a quick lunch. And it was a good one too. I got the Holiday burger(grilled onions, mushrooms, bbq sauce), was pretty darn good. The husband got a double cheese burger. The flavors were really good. We like toasted buns, and that’s what we got. And they seasoned the beef, you could taste the pepper on it, not pepper-y but nicely seasoned. Next on the list for me is the Beach Ranch burger, oh crap, I think that was the name. Bacon, and avocados, HOLLA! The tab was affordable and the place was nice and clean. The girls at the counter were nice. Only down side; I asked if they hand battered onion rings and no they didn’t, they come in pre-battered. Bummer. After the meal the husband declared his intentions to find the best burger in Texas. I suggested he blog his adventure. He just snarled at me and said he just wants to journey onward and eat. Oh, well. I thought everyone blogged? Don’t they???

If you’re looking for a good hamburger, you can’t go wrong with Carter’s Burger. It’s unassuming and perhaps not the place you’d expect to find a great hamburger, but it’s one of my favorites in town. They’re fries are also great, and my wife loves their sweet potato fries.
