We stayed at the Manor for two nights. I was so pleasantly surprised by the spacious accommodations of the king suite. The décor was updated and the price was super reasonable! The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. Wi-fi was free and the room had a flat panel tv. The location is convenient and minutes away from the center of town. I’d definitely stay here again if I visit in the future.

The place is really well appointed. Nice easy chair. The bed was awesome! The place was clean. They lent me a corkscrew without any hassle. The«day-of» service and the space are easily four stars. Very nostalgic for a time before I was born — but have seen in many old movies. I loved most of the experience of this place. Also I needed to checkout 40 minutes past check-out time due to consuming a vast amount of Bull’s Blood(Hungarian wine from Tony Packo’s). They were cool about it and didn’t charge me. The follow up service is what keeps me from giving it a full five stars. I left my phone charger in the room. I called them and they looked around and found it. I am not sure what would have happened if I didn’t call them. I asked if they could pop it in the mail. That seemed a Herculean task. The woman seemed to need a requisition form signed in triplicate by the governor of Ohio. I had a friend swing by and pick it up mail it to me and had it in a day or two. My friend — who is a star — gets the fifth star that I would have given to Colonial Manor Motel. If you find yourself in Bryan, Ohio(Fans of the Linda Lavin laugh-fest«Alice» might make the pilgrimage to see the diner that inspired Mel’s Place.) this is a pretty cool place to stay. Just don’t forget anything there.

This place brought back great memories of family vacations when I was very young! A quaint, unassuming motor lodge(with the«MOTEL» sign still above the office) that far surpasses any 5-star hotel I’ve stayed in recently for cleanliness and service! The folks who run this place have such a hidden gem. If they could branch out and put these places everywhere, there would be a new definition to «5-star»!!! The rooms are a bit unique… uh, retro… mine had a ‘cardio-glide’ rowing machine in it… and a laz-y-boy. Interesting, fun, unique! All the rooms are freshly painted, new furniture/carpet, PERFECTLY clean… all in all, quite a deal. And, hey — the costs are retro, too!

This is the cutest place ever. Clean, has its own restaurant and bar, shabby chic. We had car trouble in Ohio and wound up in Bryan, and the Colonial Manor is pretty much it there. The people have been fantasticband turned our troubles into a mini vacation to see a part of the country we never would have seen before. Would definitely recommend.
