While I don’t really review convenience stores or gas stations often unless they are remote or there’s a good reason, there are two good reasons to review this one. #1 — It’s the location of an extremely rare Taco Van called ELTACONAZO that you can only find on Friday afternoons and evenings(in the parking lot). #2 — They sell Mexican Coke imported from Mexico in glass bottles($ 2 including tax for a 1 litre) that is made with the authentic Coca Cola recipe that has pure cane sugar instead of High Fructose Corn Syrup. It appears as if they sell gas but must have been out as there were plastic bags on the two gas pump handles yet the price on the sign was $ 2.49 a gallon, which was normal for the area about a week ago since it has come down a bit. As I sat in the parking lot with my wife, eating tacos for about an hour, I can give these observations. Keep your car locked and you should be fine. It appeared as if half of the people coming here were ordering food from El Taconazo(don’t worry I have a good review of it coming up next) and the other half were buying beer and cigarettes and then driving back towards Bryan. I see no reason to have to stop here at night unless you are looking for the taco truck on Friday, as there are uhm(how do I say this nicely), much better lit public places to buy beer at night, like HEB perhaps? The reason I am giving 3 stars as OK is due to the fact that I talked to the owner. When I bought a Mexican Coke after watching the traffic for a while I joked around and told him«See, if you have real authentic tacos in the parking lot it increases your business right?» He knew this was true and told me that he is personal friends with the family that owns the Taco Truck and that they have an actual restaurant inside of one of his other stores on 2818 and 21(Easy Shop #3). I did not know that, but will check it out.
