Laredo Taco Company

Not terribly impressive. Before this was Stripes it was called Chick’s until the evil giant of travel gas stops Buckees filed a fake suit claiming that people could not tell the difference between a group of chickens and a beaver in the logo.
Very slow service not so much by the staff which were equal to customers 1 to 1 but caused by the Bryan dumb asses in line that could not decide what they wanted nor how to order.
There are ordering computer stations but they don’t work for breakfast, apparently like the Bryan natives brains in front of us.
Food served from hot holds, nice looking topping bar, something Torchy’s doesn’t have.
Staff was friendly considering what they were having to put up with. The line needs be clearly marked as to whom is first instead of everyone standing around wondering.

Nothing to write home about. Stopped here for a drink before hitting the road and my fiancé and I decided to try the breakfast tacos. They were pretty busy, but waiting 15 minutes for 4 tacos is ridiculous. The tortillas having to be heated on the grill seemed to be slowing the process down as the «stuffings» were all prepared and in warmers. The tacos themselves were very bland. Like no flavor whatsoever. The verde salsa made them bearable. The only good thing I can say about the tacos is that the tortillas are homemade and really tasty. Wouldn’t recommend for breakfast, but their lunch may be worth trying.

I have been waiting for Laredo to open for such a long time. They probably have the best breakfast tacos in the area. It’s an amazing flour tortilla and a good amount of filling for $ 1.19. They also have a salsa bar (red and green salsa, pico, cilantro, onions) and little to go cups for the salsa so you can take it with you. The service is always fast and the workers are super friendly. Keep in mind, the red salsa is pretty spicy while the green is mild. I’ve yet to try their lunch offerings but I’m sure they’re just as good.
