We love this place! The food is always delicious! Great prices! One of the owners is around during the lunch rush and visiting with everyone. Even the employees seem like they enjoy their job which makes for a pleasurable experience!

It’s Taco Bell except the only meat they offer is ground beef and everything has black olives on it. I gave it an extra star because the dining room is pretty impressive(at the new South College Station Location). You can tell someone took pride in that dining room. If only they took more pride in the food they served. Their slogan is «Real Fresh… Real Food… Real Good…» I don’t consider any food made from cans and bags on an assembly line to qualify for any of those statements, but to each their own. If you’re looking to both pound a taco gut bomb down your throat and stick it to the Taco Bell man, this is the place for you.

Well– I thought I liked this place but I can’t any longer. My family of 3 went yesterday for dinner and then spent the entire night and today sick. I called and asked for a manager just to give a heads up since all 3 of us were sick and he just said«well nobody else has called». No apology or anything. Do these things happen– yes, of course. Could we have possibly gotten sick and it was just coincidence about the food– yes, of course. But I thought the manager could have at least apologized or acknowledged it in some way… but no. Customer service at the restaurant was poor, the smell of the restrooms lingered throughout the eating area, we didn’t finish our food as it didn’t really taste quite right, and the manager’s customer service today didn’t help. Just my opinion!

The small menu is probably what keeps the prices down. My husband and I ordered more than we needed thinking the size would be small. Their tortillas are so soft! The only issue I had was how my burrito was rolled. All the toppings at the top and all the beans and meat at the bottom, I simply rerolled it. My husband loved his super tostada and we ended up bringing his burrito home because the tostada was enough for a meal.

I love this restaurant. It’s nothing spectacular, but at the same time it’s amazing. This place makes delicious food cheaply. There’s not a huge variety like some fast food«mexican» restaurants. They have roughly 7 different menu items but that’s what’s awesome about it! They keep it simple and they make it awesome. They don’t skimp on the cheese either; unlike the«two finger pinch» method of other places.

Fresh. Fast. Friendly. I went through drive-through everything outside was very clean. Inside kitchen looked clean as well. My taco meat was hot, lettuce tomatoes & cheese were fresh & cold & the taco shell was crispy not greasy! Exceeded my expectations!

Love the food and the service. They are consistent. Every time I go the food taste great and the service is good. Taco casa is the first place I will go to for tacos. Their hot sauce is good. If you love Taco Bell, give this place a chance. I hope they don’t disappoint you.

Although there’s not many items on the menu, this place has awesome food. I got the taco with mild sauce. Not only was the taco much larger than I expected, but they give a cup of warmed sauce that’s good enough to drink(and I did). Highly recommend, so much tastier than the major chain.

I have loved the food from day one when they opened. I am a die hard fan of the food, have always loved going into the restaurant and drive thru both. However today I was the most disappointed I have ever been in any food place. I order the super nachos and always tell them I want everything on the side. I learned the hard way the first time I ordered. Today it comes to the table everything on it so I took it back to the counter and said I asked for everything on the side. The guy who brings it back to the table tells me to make sure I order it right the next time that he just tossed $ 8 in the trash. I bit my tongue and decided to call back to talk to mgmt. When I did that, I get told that he is the owner, he rewound the tape and I ordered it wrong. What did I want, he remade it for me? A simple apology would have sufficed. Customer service 101 is in order here. Even if I had ordered it incorrectly, this was not the way to ever treat anyone period. I’ve been in customer service 15 + years and I would have been fired if I had ever talked to a customer the way I was talked to both in the restaurant and on the phone. I will not be back which is sad as I was a huge fan and shared their posts on facebook all the time etc. I am big on buying and eating local.

Anybody who remembers back when Taco Bell actually cared about its’ product, that time before being bought out by Pepsi knows the food was much better back then than the slop the call food these days. Taco Casa is old school Taco Bell. They cook their meat fresh daily, fry their taco shells in-house daily, and make everything else from the beans to vegetables are made fresh daily. Simply the best tacos you’d find anywhere in or near Houston, and is certainly worth the drive from Cypress.

Drive through is generally fast. Food is ok, nothing memorable. Chili burger with cheese is probably my favorite menu item as it is different from anything at taco bell and is a liter option.

This place should not be in buisness. They give mexican good a bad name. Wife went and got super nachos and they use Doritos not even real tortilla chips. Never again. An associate brought some to us Friday and one person took a bite and that’s all he needed. The test were taken home and given to the turtles.

Ok, I gave them 4 stars! Here is the deal, they know who they are and what they serve. This is fast food of the Mexican food variety. No one should eat this stuff regularly, however when your ready for Mexican junk food this is a bit better in taste than Taco Bell but I expected the price of EVERYTHING on the menu to be about a dollar cheaper than it actually was. The store is clean and the food is served quickly. They will have a good location and will likely have a strong business

NOTORIETY: Chain restaurant I got the nachos($ 3.29) and was expected more toppings but it came w/just chips and cheese. The cheese wasn’t very flavorful, in fact too mild. Also got the super burrito for $ 2.99. It was not very big, w/decent flavor, but simply put, I’ve had better. Some other reviews say it is a bit better than Taco Bell. I disagree. It is the same. Ah how cool! An up-scaled Taco Bell clone(Texas chain from Gainesville) with flat screen TV’s and nice fresh junk food! Hell yeah! See, there’s a time and place for this kind of garbage and I like it! When pulling into the parking lot today I saw a nearly broke down 1980’s Caddy in a handicapped spot and knew instantly what we were in for. GOOD junk food! It fullfilled! We tried the«Churitto» which is an exact clone of the Taco Bell Enchurito(now called the smothered burrito), a super taco on corn crunchy shell, a taco light on a puffy fried flour shell and the beans. Everything comes with a huge amount of previously frozen orange cheese like substance. It was remarkably fresh tasting. After all the fat I did feel a little gross for most of the rest of the day, but it’s what I wanted. The mostly morbidly obese staff and customers were a cheerful fat bunch.(see photos) The beans were filling for $ 1.39 and do suggest you add that cup to make sure you’re stuffed full. The Super Taco(surprised Taco Bell doesn’t have a trademark on that) was exactly like Taco Bell, no better, no worse. The Taco Lite was a surprising find, as in case no one has noticed, Puffy Tacos, invented in San Antonio, do not exist in Bryan or College Station, at all. This is as close as you can get. They are hard to eat as they break and fall apart, but I loved the thing in the 30 second it took to eat it. Tea is all you can drink and is bland and boring. But you can drink all you want. The«Chilada» at $ 3.50 was the best. Again, total clone of the Taco Bell Enchurito. But it’s way too expensive for the amount of meat. Just like Taco Bell. This is not Mexican food, nor is it Tex Mex, it’s fast junk food inspired by Tex Mex and Taco Bell’s exacerbation of such. One thing I regret is that I no longer smoke nor consume marijuana. This would be outstanding stoned food! Black olive in everything? God I wish I still smoked weed as then maybe that would be more appealing. I think the giant mural in the lobby that mentions the Bonfire disaster at A&M is in extremely poor taste as this chain location had nothing at all to do with that and it’s horribly insulting. So there, I have completed my obligation to taste every taco in town. And that’s the scoop. I’ll eat here again maybe once a year when on the way to the theatre perhaps. They will probably survive. Alex P’s FTR summed this up well«Certain to be a hit with fats and stoners». Amen. — Your Freindly Neighbourhood Taco Monster

I have to agree 100% with Alex on this one. Not real Mexican food and a step above Taco Bell. The ingredients are better than Taco Bell and they use real ground beef and fresh grated cheese. Lots of cheese. I had 2 crispy beef tacos and they were so stuffed with cheese, there was no way you could even put any hot sauce on them. I am not a fan of their hot sauce. Surely this place can come up with a better tasting hot sauce. Overall, I liked the tacos for what they were. Crispy beef tacos. Definitely not for the purist, but will fill a void in your gut.

I was so so so happy when I found out College Station was getting a Taco Casa and I went yesterday and it certainly did not disappoint! Taco Casa was basically my childhood and I miss it so much while I’m at college, but now I can have it anytime I want! I always get the spicy bean burrito and it was perfect at this location too! Their tacos are delicious as well and they are always a must get! Overall, Taco Casa is a great place to get fast, cheap Mexican food! In my opinion it’s much better than Taco Bell or Cabana!
