Rockies

Tonight was my first time at Rockies and I had a great time!
They have a lot of space so more room to socialize and dance.
Also Thursday-​Saturday is free if you’re a student. You just have to show them your ID!
Service was also very nice. Workers were friendly and welcoming.
It’s such a great place to hangout with friends and have fun!

This was my first visit to Rockies and I must say I was impressed. A friend who frequents here a lot took me and it was really fun. The bartender was friendly and very knowledgeable about how to make my mixed drinks (a BIG plus for me). The music was great with a mix of country, rap and tejano. I will be back again.

The old location for Rockies was at the Post Oak mall and the layout was very nice. The new location is much larger but the dance floor isn’t any larger than it was in the older smaller location, so the dance floor looks tiny. The music is a nice mixture of older country and Texas country music. Depending on the DJ the music can be monotonous and slow or it can be fun and fast paced. The drink specials are pretty inexpensive and the bar tenders are alright, not as nice as those at Harry’s but some are friendly. The acoustics need a lot of work here, but they have live performances almost every Friday night. They have pool tables as well.
Rockies has a lot of room to dance and the music is in majority country music. If you’re going to give it a test run try it out on a free night like Thursday. Definitely worth a try.
