Rojo’s Taqueria

This is a new restaurant that just opened two weeks ago that is a taco and food lovers dream come true.
This rainy morning after last nights storm I woke up early and did my typical taco treasure hunt of Bryan. It was before coffee and if I didn’t have the photos to prove it, I would have trouble believing this new find myself.
My before coffee dreams would have included finding;
1) A New Private family owned and operated restaurant complete down to the three generations of women, the cute young waitress, her Mom, and Grandma.
2) An all you can eat make it yourself taco buffet with home made corn and flour tortillas.
3) Pancakes with gravy
4) Very fresh loaded topping bar.
Well I found it on accident on the way to El Vale (literally next door in the same building).
Roja’s is the most incredible, fun and delicious make if yourself taco buffet in Aggieland. It’s the Fuego of taco buffets.
What you do is pick your table and they will ask what type of tortillas you want. I tried both corn and flour. You then go up to the buffet and picked everything you want, complete with a topping bar that has hot sauces, very fresh looking diced white onions and cilantro with a huge tub of pico. Salt, lime wedges, napkins all right there self serve.
Loads of family recipe meats from beef to pork to chicken, beans, rice, just amazing. I tried the chicken and pork verde as well as the eggs and chorizo. Loved every single bite of everything and wouldn’t change a thing.
Taco buffet is every day with three generations of ladies including Grandmas old style Meatballs! Best Meatballs I have ever tasted on the face of this planet!
I believe it’s the best new Mexican Restaurant in Bryan /​College Station. Staggeringly awesome and worth the 5 minute drive from Texas A&M University. It’s $ 6.99 per person.
