Let me start off by saying, I used to LOVE T Jin’s! I have been going here for as long as I can remember, and as a creature of habit, I always get the Chicken Fried Rice. I will sometimes venture out, but not too often because in most cases they charge extra for rice on the entrée’s, and I always forget, and end up with no rice at all on a take out order. Fast forward from the«Good Ol’ Days», and they are no longer my go to. Over time, there have been MANY new faces, and the next one is always less friendly, and even more less intelligent than the last. Not to be harsh, but if you have someone working as wait staff, I feel like they should be able to understand English well enough to be able to place an order without having to repeat the same order a minimum of 3 times, and trying to figure out a way to make an order sound less complicated than«a kid’s order of chicken fried rice with an extra spring roll». There are only so many ways you can convey what you would like to eat… If you call, you get a quick greeting that’s hard to understand, and are placed on «hold» which is just them setting the phone down, as they take care of people in house. There are enough people on hand that there can be someone taking the orders over the phone, and still have someone take care of waiting customers. The food lacks the flavor that it used to have, and everything is more bland, and some items, even more oily, and hard to eat due to having so much grease, or excess oil. Until they change, I probably won’t frequent this place very often, only to see if the cooks/people have changes to become more friendly, and the food more appetizing.

This is our«go to» place for Chinese food. I’ve never had anything here that wasn’t good. I usually get the Kung Pao Shrimp which is spicy but oh so good with large shrimp(not the tiny canned ones used at some places) and perfectly cooked broccoli, still bright green and crunchy. The portions are large, definitely enough food for two people with big appetites.

We’ve been going to TJins for years. Good chinese food for a good price. My favorite location was the one over in Northgate, but both the Rock Prairie and Boonville Rd locations are good too. I like the orange chicken, the moo shu pork, mongolian beef, but my fav right now is the dry green bean with fried tofu added. The house wonton, hot and sour, chicken and corn soups are all good, as is the crab rangoon. You can order sides of rice(fried, steamed or brown). The last time I ordered the house wonton soup, I was a little disappointed as the wontons were mushy. The manager told me they were trying to find a new supply company because the previous one went out of business. We usually just order takeout(super speedy but we live nearby), but the restaurant has good ambience and service.

I saw the bad reviews for this restaurant and wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt. I ordered the general chicken and my boyfriend ordered the orange chicken. The pieces were unusually large and a bit awkward to eat. It tasted fairly bland. We also order the pan friend potstickers and they were pretty bland too. I gave them two stars because they offer free delivery. It doesn’t really help when the food sucks but I think it’s a cool feature.

Good service, good food. Nothing extraordinary to write home about. Felt a bit judged sitting there by the staff they just kept staring at us. Kept our glasses full, and food was fast.

Very bad customer service, but I did not have any drinks, but the food was excellent. I am very confused because of this, but I have to give the review that I believe they need.

I received a fortune cookie from these guys that said, «Courtesy is cumbersome to them that know it not» and it couldn’t have been more appropriate. Seriously, I’ve come to this restaurant for years and the service has taken a nose drive. For the last year they have been terribly rude. BEWARE: THECUSTOMERISNOTRIGHTOREVENAPPRECIATEDINTHISESTABLISHMENT. However, the food is good. That is all.

This location along with the Longmire location in College Station are the best places to eat Chinese in the Brazos Valley for the price. I eat here at least twice a month and really like their food. I usually get the Kung Pao Three Delights for lunch which is more than I eat in one sitting. Their egg drop soup and wonton soup are also both very good as well. For dinner my favorite is Mo Shu Pork. Its really good and different from just the everyday regulars you get all the time. Wish they would offer it as a lunch plate. Over all its going to be as good as you can get here in the Brazos Valley until someone comes along and steps of the game in oriental food.

NOTORIETY: 2011 Best of the Brazos Valley for Chinese Restaurant FOOD: Mongolian beef: Hands down the best Mongolian beef that I’ve ever had. They give you generous portions of tender slabs of beef in a slightly spicy sauce mixed w/green onions. The only reason it gets a 4 instead of 5 is b/c the fried rice that came w/it was just decent. OVERALL: I’ve only really had the Mongolian beef, but when you find something this good, there’s really no reason to try anything else. I swear, they must put crack in that dish b/c I’m addicted. RECOMMENDATION: Mongolian beef TIP: Their DAILY lunch special(11 am-3 pm) gives you good amounts of both entrée & rice(white or fried).

Just tried to place an order w/T. Jin’s on Spring Cypress and I cannot believe the lady Wendy. She placed me on hold at first but did not actually use the hold button, so, I heard her being completely rude to the other person on the phone rushing that person to hurry and then when she got to me after about 5 minutes she was ruder than rude. I just remained patient and ordered my food and then the price did not come out right. Well, I asked her to repeat the order and she did hear me wrong and placed a an adult size chicken fried rice after I had explained the exact letter which was I believe k1 and clearly stated Kid’s menu and when she confirmed my order she TOLD me that I didn’t explain it to her… basically making it sound like it was my fault. I don’t know what her problem is but I went ahead and I was actually going to still order. I hung up the phone and thought to myself… really? Did that just happen? I’ve worked in Customer Service for over 10 years and that is definitely not how you treat your customers. I called her back and canceled my order and told her I’m going to take my business somewhere else because I can’t believe that I had to argue with her about something I’m PAYINGFOR!!! Seriously??? All she had to say is «okay, thank you»…WOW!!! I truly suggest people to go somewhere else. I have ordered from them plenty of times before and they apparently do not care about their customers. The food is decent but I refuse to be treated like that after I’m going to be spending my hard earned money. A little respect would be nice… not a NEXT attitude.

Love the food here. Its great for lunch but it can get pricey during dinner hours for what seems like typical Chinese food though. I love how well they package their take out orders. They deliver but we have had so much trouble trying to explain how to get to my house that we often just drive to pick it up. Their dine in service is great.

Our favorite Chinese restaurant in the BCS area. Always clean and quiet. We like this place for family meals or when we have guests from out of town. The food is fairly straightforward with a menu typical of most chinese restaurants. If I was to make a recommendation I would suggest the Lo Mein or the tried and true General Tso’s chicken.

This is the Chinese restaurant next door to Western Beverage in the Kroger’s shopping center. What I did not know until checking their website, it is owned by the same company as Jin’s Asian Café just off University across the street from A&M(Northgate). They also appear to have a T. Jin’s in College Station as well, and one in Spring Texas. This is where I finally realized that the menus at almost all Chinese restaurants in the US are almost exactly the same. They must be a template for them. The food here, just like the menu, is almost exactly the same as any other average Chinese restaurant. You pretty much know what to expect. Tea was fresh. I only have one complaint which dropped my rating from 3 stars for«Ok» down to two. The dinner plate I ordered came with«steamed rice». I asked to substitute it for fried rice(and offered to pay the difference). I was told no, and that if I wanted fried rice I had to order the whole meal of fried rice.(Which is enough for 2 – 4 people) for full price. Service was okay, but overall I feel it was too expensive for just average food. The manager/owner guy seemed to be up-tight and kinda stressed out… Maybe it was my fried rice request? LOL… Oh well.
