Willow Oaks Apartments

I must agree with Laura below. My family has been here for 5 years. Original Managment was spectacular they treated you like a human being. Current Managment however only sees the tenants as cash cows. They are all but unforgiving on most aspects of life. Don’t have your rent in by 6 pm on the 3^rd sucks to be you, we took out the drop box, now you owe us another $ 40. Previous Managment had a drop box and a sense of humanity and would forgive you and not charge you late so long as you had it in there first thing in the morning or called and talked to them in advance. Maintenance staff is slow to arrive and only ever half way fixes things. We had a leak from our air conditioner on the inside which caused the Sheetrock below it to get soaked through it took them nearly a month and a half to get it fixed right.
On a plus side it is near many fun places and shops. And the crime in the complex has been low, there were some break ins a few years back and we had a bicycle go missing recently but nothing horrid.
I will be moving out at the end of the month hopefully they will improve this rating by providing a good move out experience.

Management is horrible. Over the 5 years I lived there, management changed 4 times. I loved management 5 yes ago. Mary was awesome. Then it went down hill about year 3 in and now is terrible. Forget my previous review. Current management sucks and the office workers are horrible and rude. The are hardly ever around, don’t return phone callss/​emails, and are incompetent. I moved out this past Dec and did not receive my deposit for almost 2 months. Then only received part back with no explainations. I am very unhappy with how this once nice little apt complex is turning into jerks who don’t care about there tenants.

This place was a dump. We had rats crawling around in our ventilation that would keep us up. They would «check up on it» and claim nothing was there, and yet we were still woken up by rats scratching around at nights!
They’d send us notices about once every two weeks saying that the utility company needed to turn off the water to work on someone’s pipes.…evidently that’s not true. When we moved out, we complained to our utility company about how many times they turned off our water – they were utterly confused since they hadn’t done it once that year. Evidently the complex would turn it off a few hours at a time to save money since that’s the only utility that they paid for.
The laundry facilities were monstrous. I can’t count how many things I had ruined by rust stains and just other stains from the machines themselves. It was awful.
The worst part was being charge for so many things when we moved out. The caulking on the tubs wore off about a month after we moved in, but we got charged for it. Stains came up out of the carpet out of nowhere, and we got charged for it. Paint on the walls would flake off for no reason, and we got charged for it.
All in all, a dump. Spend a little bit more and get a decent place that doesn’t screw you into the ground.
