Greasy over priced pizza. Management could care less — too many other good places to go around here, would not go back!

I love their chicken ranch pizza– it’s incredible. The service is fair but if you order take out, come earlier than the estimated time because they always make it and leave it in the warmer(which does not really keep it warm) so it’s room temperature when you pick it up.

Had the Firestone pizza, tasted more dough than flavors. Good service good ambiance. Food needs work.

Honestly don’t understand ANY of the negative reviews. This place has FANTASTIC pizza. I always get the Crust Blanca(ricotta, mozzarella, spinach, TRUFFLEOIL) and the Fire Roasted Veggie(eggplant, peppers, GOUDA). I love this place and feel so lucky to live so close to it. Honestly don’t get pizza anywhere else.

Some of my least favorite pizza yet… The outside décor of this pizza joint indicated to me that it was something to take note of. The sign is sort of cute and rustic, with lights around the text of the sign and an «old» feel to the store front. I walked in excited for some great pizza and boy, was I wrong! First of all, my friend and I were the ONLY people in the place and the waitress took out order(she was pleasant but we saw her on her phone a good deal) and it took THIRTYFIVEMINUTES for the pizza to come out… I’ll let that sink in. For«fresh» «homemade» pizza should thirty five minutes be the length of time for a pizza to be baked if we are the only ones in the place? NOPE! The pizza came out and honestly, it looked pretty boring. We got the margarita one and the ratio of cheese to sauce was way off(not enough cheese) and the pieces of basil were wilted and soggy, and looked like they had been ripped by hand and thrown on. Besides being scarce, the cheese wasn’t seasoned enough. The sauce was nothing of note, it wasn’t horrible but it was a tad sweet and tasted like canned sauce. There were no herbal notes or flavor nuances. The worst part for me, the part that ruined the pizza, was the crust. The texture and taste of the crust was like old cardboard! No flavor, no chewiness, no depth. I was REALLY disappointed with this place and will not be visiting again.

The food’s good. Fresh, some stuff tastes homemade. But eating in? Two long tables, so if there’s only room in the middle, this being the Main Line, don’t expect anyone to move over or let you in. And who to eff are these young men loitering around? I mean, the place is empty, and I hafta WAIT for the waiter? Oh, wait, he’s conversing with the ONE other customer. For these prices, there should be something resembling service and an atmosphere. I’m not going back. I feel bad for the cook and I hope he can get a better job. This place is run like shit!

I have to be honest. This was the worse pizza I have ever had. This was worse than pizza in a high school cafeteria. For starters the pizza was not fresh. I ordered and was advised it would be ready in 15mins. The pizza was clearly made the night before with old dried out pieces of chicken added to it. I was so disgusted and very disappointed, brick oven pizza is usually pretty good. Fresh quality ingredients should be a start. There should be no charge for pizza this horrible! Purchased at around noon on 12÷10÷14.

Came here for dinner with my dad today. We shared the grilled chicken sandwich and the margherita pizza. The pizza was delicious(especially the sauce) and the sandwich was decent. However, the service wasn’t the best, as the server wasn’t very attentive and forgot to bring napkins, utensils etc. several times. I guess it isn’t exactly a «full-service» restaurant atmosphere, though. Would come again for the great food, but maybe just for pick-up.

Pizza = 5 stars. Thin crust with a perfectly done brick oven taste. Chicken ranch and sausage red pepper were both awesome and sauce and cheese were top notch. So why only three stars? … Ambiance — not the best but certainly good enough … That would have only knocked it down half a star Service– Zero stars– that’s being generous btw. Our unpleasant waitress began by rushing us to order, not telling us what the specials were, etc. then she brought out our delicious pizza while holding a windex bottle and rag right over the pie!!! Whoa mrs clean … Really? Never smiled entire time and just dropped the bill and walked away without saying a word. Felt like we were treated like dirt.

A disgrace to Bryn Mawr and the Main Line… the 4⁄11 reviewer who wrote«gross» is right. The adjective that comes to mind to describe this pizza is «squishy.» The pizza is squishy. Not foldable… foldable pizza can have a nice crisp crust at the bottom that crackles when you fold it up. This pizza is soft, squishy, and wet greasy. It reminds me of bad ballpark or service station pizza. It’s one thing to not prefer a place – another to dislike it wholeheartedly. I will go out of my way to tell people to avoid this pizza. You will at best be disappointed, or at worst, very sorry you went.

Gross! I have walked past this place several times and always wanted to give it a try. Well… 15 minutes ago I did. The pizza was SO greasy that the crust was just mush. I couldn’t even hold it because it was sopping with grease. Even if I was able to get past this unappetizing sight, the taste was subpar. I had such high expectations, what a waste of $ 20. This is not how authentic pizza is made… I could have ordered Dominos and been happier… THATS how bad it was…

Had pizza there on 10÷24÷13 which was very good. Not so good was the blond waitress who brushed her hair back with her hands every 30 seconds. A 2 minute cycle would be better. Also, try to put your hands through your hair AFTER serving food, not right before you pick up the plate.

Pepperoni pizza was quite good. Salad was pretty good. Coke products. But, did I see someone say friendly service? I don’t recall the last time I’ve been to a pizza place with such surly servers. They must be daughters of the pizza makers. There was no danger of any of them cracking a smile either. It was getting into the busy time on a Friday night. Maybe they were a server short(maybe not; it is not a large place). But, server alert — rolling eyes and frowns as you turn your back may not be visible to the customer making the request — yet the rest of the customers can see you. No need to return.

Got a pepperoni pizza that was superb! Just the right amount of cheese, sauce and pepperoni. Wonderful flavor and perfect crust… not too thick or too thin. Great to have high quality pizza on the Main Line.

In the time after we ordered, I had time to read all the reviews of this place. I was extremely underwhelmed. Not only did I wait bout 30 mins for my pizza, the restaurant was not remotely crowded. I have still not tasted the pizza…

Did takeout of their margarita pizza and it was pretty good! I have to say that I’m kind of surprised… for some reason, the restaurant didn’t look very appetizing but the pizza itself was different. The sauce was sweet and salty but not too much of either and the mozarella was delicately placed with the basil… Loved it! My mom is more into fine cuisine and not into pizza at all but she had 3 slices! That has to count for something

1 word: ugh. 1. Service: The server we had must have had short term memory, he kept forgetting what we ordered literally a minute after we told him. At least write it down if you can’t remember! Not to mention, the workers were talking to each other loudly about Captain America. I’m pretty sure they got some of the comic store workers next door to come waiter! No one was dressed like a waiter, I couldn’t have told you who was doing what. 2. Sucky food. My friend and I split a caprese sandwich and a Mediterranean pizza. The caprese sandwich was a sad thing. The bread tasted old, at least they could have toasted it up. It was flavorless. I couldn’t believe it! The pizza had soggy center syndrome which I can’t stand. Toppings were very salty. Crust wasn’t flavorful. Bottom line: it sucked. The only good thing was their iced tea, which was fresh brewed. At least that was okay. They don’t make their lemonade fresh, though. 3. Seating is annoying. It’s like the other reviewer said, cafeteria style. Yuck. Bottom line: Don’t go here. If you want a sandwich, go down to Milkboy. If you want pizza, Bertucci’s is even better than this.

I’m always willing to try a new pizza place in the area and was hoping Crust would be a step above the other choices in Bryn Mawr. Unfortunately that really wasn’t the case for a few reasons: 1. We were seated and they had to wait at least 8 minutes before anyone came to our table. This is not a big restaurant and there was no reason why it took this long for someone to acknowledge us. 2. My drink came with a huge chunk of ice in it, how difficult would it have been to break up the ice before you put it into a glass? 3. The pizza was just O.K. It was under-seasoned and the dough tasted like it was frozen rather than fresh dough. It’s an Italian style pizza which isn’t so easy to find in the area however given the premium prices for their pies it didn’t deliver. 4. After our pizza was brought out no one came to our table to ask if we needed anything else. I needed to go up to the counter twice-once to ask for pepper and once for the check. I agree with the other reviewer about the staff-they seemed apathetic. When I went to the counter to ask for our check the woman seemed annoyed that I would be asking at the counter. If someone could do a high quality Italian pizza in the area they could do great, unfortunately Crust isn’t that place.

I was really excited to try Crust out– I’d been waiting for it to open for months since I live in the area. I’ve tried out several of the other«different» pizza places around– Peace A Pizza, Bake 425, etc., and unfortunately I still prefer Dominos pizza to any of these. I was hoping Crust would be different, but it looks like the Bryn Mawr-area Main Line might have yet another mediocre specialty pizza shop to add to the list. I mean, don’t get me wrong– these places don’t suck, by any means, but none of them exactly WOW me either. The GOOD: 1) Pizza is good. It is. Obviously since this is «Crust Neapolitan Brick Oven Pizzeria» don’t expect a typical Italian[-American] pizza like you would at Cenzo’s or something. 2) Unique toppings. A little disappointed I couldn’t order a basic Pepperoni pizza here, although they’ve added it to their menu since I’ve been there. 3) They now offer gluten-free, which is a plus in my book. I’m a fan of healthy alternatives. I haven’t tried this dough yet. 4) Ambiance works. Casual, relaxed setting. The BAD: 1) Staff was not knowledgeable, not particularly friendly, and seemed really bored and unhappy to be working there. I think they’re Mediterranean Grill employees who were forced into working at the boss’ new pizza shop next door, and were probably unhappy to be serving pizza rather than making tips off of Mediterranean Grill’s clientele.(Pure speculation, mind you) 2) Things seemed disorganized. Staff seemed confused. I chalk this up to how new this shop was. This probably shouldn’t be held against them. Will update next time I give it another go. 3) They didn’t have any cannolis when I went :(Again, probably because I went when they were so new. Then again, don’t open if you’re not ready! 4) Overpriced, imho. Summary: I couldn’t decide between 3 or 4 stars. Definitely not a contender for 5 stars. I’m sure I’ll go again, at some point, when I feel like overpaying for an average pizza. Usually I prefer to underpay for a yummy pizza, hence my affection for Dominos. Don’t hate.
