Used to work here. Place is nasty. They run the mats tbrough the dishwasher and dont change the water in the machine. Stopped eating the food first day. Plumbing in building is broken. Shuts down weekly to clean up duece from clogs. Employees all over walking around in raw sewage. I quit it soon as I could.

Pair an extremely inattentive waiter with a kitchen that had no timing with mostly tasteless food and you’ve got our visit tonight. A forgotten salad appetizer, dinner rolls that came out with the meal, pizza that had no flavor, except the sauce was very good. Certainly not coming back unless it’s a last resort.

I think I got carried away before. Maybe I came back too soon. Somehow the food was not quite as good. And the server was too high drama and too low service. Lots of talk about self. Didn’t notice he was serving food to folks without knifes and forks. I still like the place, but …

There was a mouse literally running around the dining room and the waiters were commenting on how they were going to stomp on it. The mouse ran towards the kitchen. I don’t know if they caught it.

The Bruschetta pizza was terribly disappointing, the tomatoes tasted old and the balsamic was sickly-sweet and thick. Quick service though.

I usually love Bertuccis for a chain but this location was not the best. Right when you walk in there is no where to stand and there seems to be so much confusion as to where to check in with a host/hostess. We eventually had to track down a host walking by with a scrap piece of paper and a pen to put our names on. When we ordered I ordered a glass of moscato but instead was served moscato sangria. Our salads were dry as if we just picked the lettuce ourselves. When ordering dessert we were told«oh we run out of that every night by 6». That would be understandable if it was a small restaurant where things are made by hand daily but this has a corporate overhead in which they get their supplies. I doubt they are receiving a delivery everyday. The meal was fine but it was an annoying experience. I highly recommend the Plymouth meeting location.

One of the better restaurant chains. This is the nearest Bertucci’s to me and I occasionally come her for lunch. They have great lunch specials that come with unlimited rolls and salad. Their hot rolls and dipping sauce are the best. I usually get ravioli for the lunch special, but they have a lot of different lunch specials like flatbreads and paninis. All of the food is a lot higher quality than you would expect. The prices, especially for lunch are extremely reasonable. The most recent time I came here, the service was pretty slow(although friendly) which we noticed as we were on a crunch for time.

Could have sworn I reviewed this Bertucci’s years ago… We stop in here from time to time. The service is usually pretty good and we usually don’t have any trouble with the food. However, I was a little annoyed when I stopped in the other day and ordered a focaccia sandwich only to find they didn’t have any focaccia bread left, so they(after asking me) put it on some weird sort of bread… tortilla… wrap… huge flat thing. I don’t know what it was, but it was not very good, not for that type of sandwich anyway… I would have much preferred the focaccia bread. It came with a tasty pasta salad that was really the highlight of my meal. Their rolls were good as usual, but the salad was mostly just lettuce with a couple pieces of tomato, cucumber and onion thrown in. Other than that, we got in and out quick and had a nice lunch.

I visit this location somewhat often and at times the food is amazing but others it’s just average. Sometimes your meal is nice and hot with fresh soft rolls and other times it is cold with old stale rolls. The consistency just isn’t there with this location. The staff is friendly for the most part but sometimes appear frustrated and aren’t as friendly. The prices are reasonable for some items but are a little to high for others. I give this location a 3 star rating.

Ordered carry out from here last night. 2 rigatoni abruzzi meals, Caesar salad &2 slices of chocolate cake. The rigatoni is supposed to be served in a spicy tomato sauce with sausage & peppers. The sauce was non existent to the point that I had to open a jar of sauce at home to add to it. The sausage was chewy and rubbery. The Caesar was definitely lacking. It looked like something you would pick up at a hospital cafeteria. The only silver lining of the meal was the chocolate cake; very moist and flavorful. I thought this would be a viable option for dinner in pinch but was sadly mistaken. Pretty much $ 40 wasted.

Stay away! The take out is awful, untimely, and tastes like cardboard! I cannot say enough how poor the food tastes from this place – eminently disappointing, stale, overpriced, and bland. If you want pizza, you would be better served eating frozen pizza than the cardboard tasting crap coming out of the kitchen, in my opinion.

Our tennis team was in the mood for pasta, so we ordered two trays of carbs and one of salad. The vegan spaghetti with tomatoes was good, but very plain. The tortellini was decent until we got to the bottom, where it was all burnt and the remains stuck to the bottom of the pan. The salad needs something more than olives, tomatoes, and feta cheese. Not bad, but not great. The rolls were A++ though.

I had dinner their with my family before dropping off my daughter at Villanova. I couldn’t have been more disappointed. Appetizers(mozzarella stick) came out cold and I don’t mean warm, I mean cold! I had pasta and it was all stuck together. They obviously didn’t stir the pasta when cooking it so it didn’t even cook evenly. My son had eggplant and it was cold in the center. The server was nice and polite but service was slow. It took us 20 minutes to find our waitress to get our check. She just seemed to disappear like everyone else. It’s a shame but I’ll never return.

I stopped in here with my family for lunch while visiting the area. We arrived at an off hour so we were seated immediately and since we were there during the lunch hours, we were able to get a fixed price meal(about $ 8) and it included soup, unlimited salad, and the entrée. It was definitely a lot of food for a good price– a perk of dining at lunchtime. The soup and salad were satisfying, but not much to say about them. I ordered the Meatball Focaccia as the entrée– the meatballs were delicious and did not disappoint. I would definitely recommend it for lunch. Minor complaint would be that our service was a bit slow. We received our soup and entrees eventually but still had no salad, and had to remind our server to bring it to us. She seemed a bit flustered so we’re assuming may have been new– no big deal.

Much like any other chain Italian restaurant, the Bryn Mawr location of Bertucci’s does not disappoint. It holds fast to all your expectations of what you think Bertucci’s should be. The food is good, served pretty fast and is a good value for the money. Most of the time, I hit this location at lunchtime and I like their lunch $ 7.99 menu. Sometimes I opt for the Sporkie pizza(which is a $ 9.99) but their salads and sandwiches are always a great alternative — and at $ 7.99 with unlimited salad and their fantastic rolls, how can you beat it at lunch?

This restaurant was recommended to my daughter so we decided to give it a try as we are fans of Italian food(being from Northern New Jersey). When we arrived, we noticed people sitting outside and we told there would be a 35 minute wait. In actuality, it turned out to be a 20 minute wait and we were taken to and seated at a booth midway back of the restaurant. The décor — booths and tables dotted the seating area… the colors of interior are shades of brown and the lights above the booths are orange cylinders. I noticed that there is a brick oven in the back which the diners can see… and watch the pizza making. There is also an outdoor seating area which I could see outside my window. Right away our waiter came over, introduced himself and engaged our table in small talk about where we were from… he also laid down small plates as well as a small plate of seasoned olive oil. Next the hot rolls came out… Our waiter informed us that the menu had been changed(we assumed for the better)…and asked what we wanted to drink. We placed our drink orders and consumed our rolls and olive oil… Not too long after, our waiter returned and we ordered our entrees. My husband asked for garlic bread but we were informed that the hot rolls took the place of the garlic bread. Needless to say, my husband was a bit disappointed as garlic bread is a favorite of his. So to substitute my daughter and hubby ordered the grilled Tuscan veggies. I ordered a ceasar salad and the lasagna and was informed the lasagna was one of the new improved items on the menu. Good! I thought. Appetizer time… I enjoyed my salad. It was nicely seasoned romaine leaves of lettuce with big croutons and slivers of parmesan cheese. As for the Tuscan veggies? Well… at first sight my daughter was disappointed as she thought it was frozen veggies. She and my hubby ate them and rated the dish a 6 out of 10. My daughter liked the artichokes and my hubby’s favorite was the eggplant. The entrees — My daughter got the lobster ravioli and liked it… very huge portion. My lasagna had meat in it which I liked and had tons of melted cheese on it, making me happy. Not over sauced though. I could have used a tad more sauce. My husband got the pasta and chicken and thought the dish could have used more chicken in it. At this point, our waiter did not return to ask about our drinks and we were all ready for more drinks(took a star off for this). I seem to have a problem called the disappearing waiter/waitress when I go out. Fantastic service and then where are they? Dessert — brownie with ice cream and whipped cream. The brownie was hard… the ice cream and whipped cream were terrific. I think this place has real potential… just needs to clean up some areas here and there… Dessert? We did order

I have been eating at Bertucci’s since they used to hand out balls of dough to keep kids waiting in line happy. That was at the other location(Wayne), and when this one popped up closer to home, I was excited. By then, unfortunately, either my palate and taste had progressed or the calibre of food here had decreased… probably some of both. I always want pasta when I go to a place that’s even vaguely Italian. That’s probably been my downfall here… because their pasta dishes have the distinct taste of being microwaved or sitting around for too long or something just slightly lukewarm about everything in them. That being said, this is still acceptable if I am absolutely craving pasta, and I may as well go here since the price point’s relatively low, compared with the other local«Italian» places where pasta is undoubtedly ALSO microwaved, lukewarm, but with a heftier price tag attached. Why I want to write this review is to express my dismay at myself… all this time I’d been ordering pasta here and finding it underwhelming. I recently came back for lunch with my partner and we shared a ridiculously cheap meal with two entrees and unlimited salad and bread(yes, I hear the jingle for a competitor in the back of my head too…). You can’t imagine how pleasantly surprised I was when the calzone he ordered came out perfectly baked, oozing with ricotta cheese and other fresh ingredients, and tasting like a million bucks. I would go back here and get pizza after that. I am so disappointed that I was missing out on the obvious meal selection here and thinking poorly of the place because of my own foolishness. Really, if you come here, you should just order something from the brick oven. Lesson learned.

I’ve been here before plenty of times, Its small but it does get packed, its a chain resteraunt but every location does things differently. Staff was friendly, the waitress i had made sure everything was ok, my beverage was always full. Icame in just after the lunch rush so i didn’t have to wait at all. like the fresh bread and dipping oil they give you as you wait for your meal… nothin better than warm bread out of the oven. Their appitizers are just as good as their pizzas’ or other dishes. I got somewhat of a personalized pizza, with riccotta, roasted garlic, carmalized onions with prosciutto and a little bit of broccoli. Oh yea this bad boy was good. No complaints about these guys, next time i know i gotta bring the wifey. she too is a fan
