We are in town for the train ride. Found this little gem. Great food and service. I would recommend for breakfast.

Great food — great service! Delicious home cooking at its best, love it! Today we enjoyed hot black raspberry cobbler with a dollop of vanilla ice cream for desert, scrumptious! Look forward to eating there regularly when we return to Bryson City.

Good breakfast and very reasonable price. Staff can be slow at times but I guess when on vacation shouldn’t be in hurry.

It was slow getting seated even though the crowd was light and the hostess was kind of surly, but the wait staff was great and the food was good. We had breakfast which is a pretty solid bet at a diner. I’d go there again.

Old school family run diner, gets 5 stars just for that alone. Friendly and fast service. Stays busy in the mornings, but they don’t let you down on service. Seems like they have a lot of local regulars(good sign). Hash browns are well done. My experience with Hash Browns have been soggy to wet to oily. But this place has them crisp like they are supposed to be.

Have eaten breakfast here numerous times. Food and service always good. The biscuits won’t blow you away but other items are standouts: Pancakes, french toast, sausage(locally sourced.) Overall a great breakfast joint in BC.

The service is always top notch here. A favorite with many locals, including myself. I’ve only ever been for breakfast, however I’ve been more times than I can count. The food is always amazing. Super fast delivery with the food. If you are a sweet tea lover don’t skip out here it’s amazing.

First off, their website states they are closed on Sunday’s but low and behold, they were opened. We asked about that and they said depending on the tourist, sometimes they decide to open. Atmosphere is diner like, waitress admitted biscuits are frozen and bacon thin and limp. Skip it… Nothing special!

Average dinner food with good service. Seems to be popular with the locals but nothing special. The veggie burger was a garden burger out of a box and the fries weren’t as crispy as I like them but it wasn’t bad.

Never again. Not a good ol’ local? Forget about hot food and decent service. Go check out one of the other 14 places to eat in BC.

Good food, attentive staff, clean and comfortable. Décor not fancy but a great place to eat. Seems to be the place where the locals eat, looked like we were the only ones not on a first name basis with the staff. Their health dept score was 99.5 when we visited. Would definitely eat here again!

We visited the Everett Street Diner on the advice of a local person. We went to the back where counter service is available. We sat down and no one acknowledged our presence for over 5 minutes even though several servers were working or standing around right in front of us. We almost left but finally someone came to us. Once we were noticed, the server was friendly. Still, very slow not because of a lack of people more a lack of organization. Biscuits were OK. Nothing to write home about.

6 thumbs-up from me, my wife and my son. We had breakfast here in August 2013 and it didn’t disappoint. Large portions and everything was tasty. Omelets, eggs, pancakes, french toast, biscuits and biscuits & gravy — all was eaten and enjoyed. There was a steady stream of people in and out while we were there. The staff was friendly and took good care of us. We considered returning the next morning, but decided that it would probably be too crowded and we needed to get on the road home. If we return to Bryson City, this place will most likely be a breakfast stop once again.

We ate breakfast here multiple times during our stay in Bryson City. So I can’t tell you about anything else on their menu, but I CAN say that their breakfast is phenomenal. I had omelets, eggs, bacon, sausage biscuits and gravy, hash browns, pancakes, all kinds of great breakfast food, and none of it was disappointing in the slightest. A lot of locals seem to eat there, its a seat yourself anywhere kinda place, which I like, waitresses are friendly, it’s clean, and the service is fast. And considering the amount of food you’re getting, and how great it is, the prices are insanely low. Don’t miss the Everett St Diner breakfast. So worth your while.

Since this diner is just about the only restaurant not closed for the February slump, I am eternally grateful that their food is good and the service is friendly here. My husband and I shared their catfish sandwich with a cup of split pea soup for lunch, and we were definitely pleased with our food. The grilled catfish was light, flaky and nicely spiced while the split pea soup was a bowl of smoky deliciousness. This was a good stop for us.

My husband and I ate lunch here on the Saturday before Christmas. Busy diner! We were able to get a table quickly. The wait staff was attentive and helpful. Food was good. I had the catfish plate and my husband had the Reuben sandwich. Portions were large.

Good place to catch an unpretentious breakfast or lunch. Only open 7 – 2. We got there pretty much dead on noon. GREAT milkshakes(Breyers Ice Cream). He ordered the burger. I ordered te catfish plate. Wish I had gone with the chicken fingers. Catfish was good. Not what I am used to. It was chicken fried which is well, weird. The burger was yummy. The service was friendly. A couple we know sat down at the same time as us out in the main area(we were at the diner bar in the back) and they said their service was terrible. Ours was great. But then again, the main area was running on a wait list for lunch rush. This place is only a couple blocks from the train depot and a great place to stop for lunch prior to taking the 2PM train.
