Great place! Caramel apples are the best. I was looking for milk chocolate covered orange peels but all they had was dark chocolate. The owner was there and said if I would come back tomorrow he would talk his wife into making them. Came back the next day and they were packaged up and waiting for me. Delicious.

Amazing small shop in the heart of Bryson City. I love chocolate and decided to walk in as soon as I saw the name :) This is real, yummylicious chocolate… everything is made at the shop and the new owners are super sweet and very helpful. There was a great variety of treats to choose from; I wanted to take home the entire store hahaha. Must try the toffees, bear claws, turtles, chocolate pretzel sticks and fudge… AND do not forget to take a package of the Nutcracker caramelized popcorn… that’s the best thing I’ve ever had!!! My mom and mother-in-law loved it… believe me, you won’t regret it!!! They accept phone/email orders and will ship nationally; also, they are not expensive like the shops you find on the other side in Gatlinburg.

Amazing. In town with my husband and 3 year old. We stopped by this shop and everyone was happy once we left! He ordered the turtles and chocolate pretzel sticks. Some of the best chocolate I’ve ever had. You won’t regret it if you stop by!

This business has been in Bryson City for four years. Before that, the founders had a chocolate shop in Maggie Valley. In the past few months the business was bought buy a very pleasant couple who continue to use the recipes of the founders. At $ 24.95/lb you can get two small boxes hand picked with your choice of chocolates. The new owners added caramels in case you’ve been before and they were missing. The establishment is small, but located in the center of Bryson City. Across from Soda Pops. The samples of chocolate covered caramels, both milk and dark, and sea salted and plain, were good enough that we bought a pound to take home as gifts. Give the Chocolate Shoppe a try. Its real chocolate, and not another tourist trap.
