Lovely B&B nestled in Bryson City, NC. Most enjoyable is the front porch in my opinion. It’s so peaceful and quiet and the weather we had while there let us enjoy it quite a lot. We had a great room that was very spacious and the bedding was superb. I had a couple great night’s sleep while there. The breakfast offered the two mornings we were there was also great. A great combination of fresh eggs, fruit and a waffle made of cake batter as far as I could tell. So, so good. The innkeepers were some of the most pleasant people you could meet. My recommendation would be to choose this place above any other if you find yourself in the area.

Thanks to the Folkestone Inn I’ve got a winning record when choosing B&Bs. I made a reservation here for Mrs. B and I to stay during October. I was surprised that they had an opening on one of the peak weekends and that it was reasonably priced. We got there late Friday night after dark so we didn’t get to see how beautiful the property was until the next day. Amazing! Being outside of town it was quiet and relaxing outside. The weather was great when we were there which made being outside that much more perfect. We stayed in the Petals & Stems room which is on the main floor. It is a nice cozy room. The bathroom had a claw foot bathtub which we were both excited about. Note that if you’re a tall person getting a shower may be a bit fun. The ceiling is kind of low and the bathtub bottom is a few inches of the floor. I could touch the ceiling easily when showering and I’m under 6ft. Like all the ground floor rooms, ours also had a porch so we could sit outside. The breakfasts were very good. The first day was eggs with biscuits and gravy. The second day was chocolate french toast with a cherry topping. The seating is sort of mini restaurant style with a few tables in the dining area. We had a table to ourselves one day and shared one with another couple the next day.
