Why stay here; wife could not get the employee rate at the hotel corporation she works for. We usually stay for $ 29 at some of the most convenient and nice hotels in the country. That’s right, $ 29 plus tax for the employee rate. A few weeks ago Econo Lodge was the only hotel with rooms available in Columbus, Ohio. Yes, Columbus, Ohio was sold out. No rooms available. It seems that every girl between the ages of 12 to 16 where in some cheer leading competition. Rooms where at a premium and Econo Lodge was it. While I did survive, I was not comfortable with the accommodations. The hotel has seen better times. It was worn and beat up. Don’t want to beat a dead horse, but this Econo Lodge location need some serious repairs and renovations. If you are desperate like we where, then you do what you have to do; stay at this Econo Lodge. Remember, you have a bed, bathroom and a door with a lock. What is crazy this hotel was also sold out; go figure.
