Very impressed with the installers and the office staff. The flooring looks beautiful and they are quick to respond to any concerns. The installers are very professional and easy to work with. They explain everything throughout the install and try to be respectful. The office staff even called to check daily to make sure the crew was doing a good job. I highly recommend!

Bought flooring from Home Depot and they sent FPN out… then the leveling scam ensued.
The crew removed the carpet and began drawing lines all over the concrete where they said it wasn’t level. I couldn’t tell there were any uneven spaces except for a bump by one window. I was told I needed to call the manager to discuss the additional charges to level the floor, which turn out to be an extra 36% on top of the materials and labor. Are you serious!?!
The crew finishes and leaves (after making a complete mess of my garage and driveway), I check the one spot I knew about… and IT’S NOT LEVEL. I decide to go over the entire floor and find a few other spots that aren’t level either (and one board that is loose). I call FPN and…

Schedule a time for the following week. I get to the house early and guess what? The guy says the floors are fine and there’s nothing he can do to fix them. WTF!!! I show him the big bump by the window and he pulls out his level, lays it on the bump, and says he doesn’t see what the problem is. I pick up the level, turn it 90 degrees, and it’s obviously not level. He then goes on to say he wasn’t trained to test floor levels that way. I’m speechless. He says there’s nothing he can do, that pulling up the floor and re-​leveling would be a waste, that there is no manager or supervisor available to come out… and he leaves.
So I call the nice service lady and leave a message to explain the situation… two days later I get a call and she says they need to bring another supervisor down to inspect the leveling. And if he deems it necessary, then have a crew come out and repair. Simply unacceptable. We’ve been through this song and dance, and I am now out of vacation days to take off work, let alone the hassle to the renters.
From my point of view, they either do not know how to level the floors or the floors didn’t need leveling in the first place. Either way, FPN owes me time and money for a botched job or for scamming me.
I have called the FPN supervisor and left messages. Currently, I am still waiting for a call back. I hope they do before I get lawyers involved. Please do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY FROM FPN AND THE SCAM THEY RUN THROUGH HOME DEPOT.

Look, remodeling is fraught with unpredictability. In our case, we spent $ 80K to refloor a $ 1M house. Wood floors and slate tile. The floor was not level, they leveled it beautifully Felix Savala. Slate is super tricky as it’s uneven on the bottom. Truly magical install. Insist on John McDaniel’s crew, he’s an amazing craftsman ph # 512 913 4860. Problems are what defines a company. Our job was initially done based on a faulty moisture meter reading — and the entire thing had to be ripped out and reinstalled. Home Depot stepped up to the plate w/​o hesitation. FPN, did an absolutely remarkable job. Thad runs the place and we could not be luckier for that. Think about it, had we gone with a local outfit, would they have burped up $ 50K to replace materials and then reinstall everything? They might if they had the money. Home Depot — I’m a fan for life.

OMG, STAY AWAY! This company provides services for Home Depot (not any better). Had multiple «miscommunications» between both and caused a significant delay in my flooring. You call FPN and they don’t call back. Because of all the mishaps with the project (Nov 2014), they offered a Home Depot gift card of $ 50…this wasn’t delivered until April 2015… POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. TRUST THE BAD REVIEWS ON HERE.

The folks at Home Depot should be ashamed of themselves for pimping out this company for flooring installation. In fact, FPN’s service is so bad that, if I can help it, I won’t do business with Home Depot again. Hello Lowes!
The issue began during installation. It was evident early on that the installers didn’t speak English. I’m a Spanish speaker and we STILL had issues communicating which led to a less than satisfactory install. (Honestly, if they spoke Chinese I wouldn’t care if they were able to understand my request) The installer wanted me to sign a completion job form and I refused as I wasn’t satisfied with the installation. The installer tells me that they’ll need to send an inspector if I won’t sign. Bring on the inspector say I.
I stupidly assumed that FPN would call me to set up this appt. Not! In fact, returning calls is something that FPN RARELY does. My husband and I have made over 30 calls to FPN between us in the last 3 weeks; less than a third of which have been returned. To their credit, the girls that answer the phones at FPN are friendly and professional. Sadly, these girls forward messages to people who couldn’t care less about returning a call. (Another working theory is that they’re so overwhelmed by shafted customers that they can’t return calls.)
Inspector comes out with a promise to call us with his findings. Yeah, right. Did I mention that someone needs to be at home during the install? And someone needs to be home for the inspector? (Our project is, for all intents and purposes a duplex; a residence with a separate entry/​key.) No call from the inspector so we’re left to follow up with people that won’t return calls.
All told, an install that should have been completed in 2 days has taken over three weeks due to PFN’s utter failure to communicate with their customer. Their approach to a disgruntled customer is to ignore them.
Be warned. Any Home Depot flooring purchase that includes installation (at least in central Texas) will be accompanied by the nightmare that is FPN.

I went through home depot to have countertops and a backsplash installed. I am going on at least 12 weeks now and the project is still not completed. The main issue has been the backsplash, which home depot contracted with FPN to install. We had a crew come out and they told us the tiles couldn’t be installed properly due to their type. This was ridiculous b/​c it is a very common tile sold all over. FPN tried to get me to consent to having the install work done wrong. I refused. I went to home depot to resolve it and they did nothing. FPN sent out an inspector who said the job could be done. I had to wait nearly 3 more weeks to have another worker come out to try to do the job. After two days of work, the guy still isn’t done with the backsplash. He had to redo some work because he didn’t use spacers and the tile was wavy and sticking up in spots. It is ridiculous. I would avoid FPN and home depot at all costs. After talking with others about this issue, I was told Lowes has way better service and installers.

I was nervous to have these guys install my flooring after reading the reviews here, but being pregnant, on a budget and prepping my house to sale… I felt like I needed to stick with a more affordable option. I’m glad I did. The floors look great and they were in and out in a timely manner. A few minor cosmetic damages to door frames, which I suppose is to be expected. Nothing some putty and paint can’t fix. :)

We had a lot of annoying issues with Home Depot during our flooring project and I fully expected FPN to cause us tons of headaches based on the one star reviews I read. We were really nervous at first, however, we were pleasantly surprised by the service we received. I will be posting a less than stellar review for Home Depot soon — it’s going to be long.
FPN installers were scheduled within a week. The installation team (headed by Victor) was prompt, courteous, and worked quickly. When a large amount of flooring was delivered damaged (Home Depot) and it became apparent the installers would have to return to complete the job, we were able to get them rescheduled almost immediately. FPN also called multiple times to ask about our satisfaction with their services. Did they up sell us on leveling compound? Yes, but it is their contract with Home Depot that allows them to this.
Our floors were just recently installed, and they look awesome right now. If anything changes, I will update my review accordingly. In the meantime, all I can say is ignore the bad reviews and judge FPN’s services for yourself.

I ordered carpet from Home Depot and was assigned a local installer (Floor Pro, phone number 512−295−5361). I have 3 issues with the installation company: (1) they scheduled me two weeks out and weren’t able to accommodate an earlier installation request, (2) they never called to confirm the apt time like they said they would (I was only given a day); and (3) when I called yesterday to confirm my time they gave me a 3-​hour arrival window; when didn’t show up within that window I called to check on the crew i was told they still need to leave their other job, go to the store, which is 30+ mins away without traffic, and then come to our home. I wish Home Depot would use a more reliable company.

As with the other reviews, avoid this company. It is the herpes of flooring installers. I bought new wood flooring from Home Depot in Sept-​2012. The installation was done Nov-​2012. Since then they’ve had to come out for warranty work 6 times and have NEVER gotten it right. They even pulled up the entire floor to redo the entire job. Still screwed that up.
Our floor still creaks and isn’t level. I canceled the last appt and told them I have absolute ZERO confidence in their ability to get to right.
Home Depot stand behind this company 100%. When I asked for another installer they said they won’t use any others because «FPN has a proven track record of providing the best floor installation and that’s why they were chosen to bemused at the corporate level.» Come on HD! The least you can do is be honest with yourself. You use them because they’re cheap.
Since our ordeal has started they’ve gone through 3 management changes and 3 inspector changes. All the installers are your non-​English speaking variety.
Again…stay away from FPN. Worse company I’ve ever worked with. One star is a lot more complimentary than I wanted to give.

Horrible experience. Home Depots go to guys. Month and a half, no install, but they’re always willing to point the finger at you. They have been here twice, no work done, no apologies, but like the cable company they give a 3 hour window when they might arrive. Just avoid them, and Home Depot, exasperating experience.

If you order wood flooring from Home Depot, you will probably be stuck with these guys as your installers. They are horrible. They will try to force you to pay for leveling and possibly other charges. After arguing with their home office, I got them to drop this charge, then they didn’t show up. I called repeatedly and they sent a new crew out who completely botched the job. They used way too much adhesive, and it seeped up, drying on the surface and destroying the new finish of the the floor. They then tried to pass this off as «normal» and left.

Avoid at all costs! These «installers» left my high and dry when they refused to install on a Home Depot installation deal. They realized there was no way to upsell leveling on a wood subfloor and made up falsehoods to avoid doing their job. After getting an independent flooring contractor to check it out and confirm the floors were suitable for installation they still refused. Both Floor Pro and Home Dept have the absolute worst /​non existent service. Hire someone direct and avoid them all the way around.

I called on a Thursday morning to schedule my appointment and was told that they would get back to me as soon as the network was back on. I called them back on Friday to schedule the installation appointment. I was told «you’re already in the system and scheduled for Monday.» I was told by the incompetent receptionist that I would get a call by the end of the day on Friday to confirm the time. Guess what? No call. In the meantime, we emptied out the four rooms we were hoping to get floors for. The house was a disaster.
Monday comes around. I called FPN at 8:04am and Lesley picked up and told me that I’m not in the computer system scheduled for installation. She was going to see what happened and would call me back. I called her back at 9:40am. She has the nerve to ask me for my number. Didn’t she have it when I first spoke to her over an hour ago? She didn’t even apologize for the inconvenience or gave me any reason for this mistake. She just told me that the installers were coming that day but that she didn’t know the time. I had enough of this Lesley!
Time of arrival for the installers was 11:20am. By the way, Lesley never called me back. I find that the lack of communication skills and lack of courtesy to customers as unacceptable. She should be given some serious training and suspended until she has a clue on how to handle customers in a respectable manner.
