El Pollo Loco

This location is brutal. The customer service is nonexistent. Tried to charge double the price for all thighs instead of a mix of thighs and wings. The manager was rude and choose an attitude over making an effort to be reasonable. Just based on the treatment at this location we won’t be returning here

Everything here is clean. The drive through line moved really fast, and the man who was taking my order made some suggestions on what to get.
During lunch time in n out is usually PACKED but this is a great second options if that’s what you came to this shopping center for. I highly recommend coming here because of the service. Other than that, it’s just like any other pollo loco.

I usually enjoy my experience at Pollo Loco … Today’s experience however was not enjoyable at all … When I asked for a condiment that I found no trace of on my plate, instead of simply fulfilling my request, it seemed to cause some sort of commotion in the cooking area … When I questioned what the problem was, I was told, as she continued laughing, that the condiment was on my plate when the order was served … Really… Was that condiment request worth losing a customer over … I think not, but maybe that’s just me… Two thumbs down for the Pollo Loco in Buena Park!

So we go through the drive through. Edwin is taking our order after ordering a few other thing we ask if we can change the beans to a different type. He says oh yea ill just throw away the food we just made you. We asked him what he said and he repeated it again. So my wife said nevermind ill take it as it is so its not wasting food. Wth is that? When do they make the food before its ordered what if we changed or minds and didn’t want the bowls any more now you must made it and have to throw it away. It was rude and very unprofessional. He needs to be trained proper before he is put upfront to talk to people.

Fantastic customer service! I had EPL cater my daughter’s birthday event. I order 3 orders of the 3-​course 48pc Meal. Everyone raved about the food and surprised that all that food came from EPL and was so delicious. I ordered waaaaaayyyyy too much though, but because the food was so good, people took plates and plates home!
But I’m most impressed by the overall service. I ordered online, called the next day and spoke with the day manager to confirm, she was polite, on-​point and reassured me that they could handle the large order without issue. The guy who delivered was awesome! I pointed to tables to where the food went and BAM! He set everything up perfectly and quickly — the food was laid out neatly, orderly, and ready to serve.
I love the fact that they delivered and set everything up because it saves me time from running around and allowed me to finished setting up for the party. Plus my car didn’t smell like chicken for days!

I’m going to be short and quick about this, but hands down one of the better El Pollo Loco locations I’ve been to. The chicken is tender and fresh but what I love most about this place is the customer service. Upon walking in, my family and I were greeted right away. The cashier definitely looked like she loved her job and actually impressed me with her customer service. I might be butchering the name but I think it was either «Anuma» or «Anuva.» I apologize if I got that wrong lol. There was also a gentleman who offered to double bag my 16pc family meal order because the bag almost burst as I was walking out. Thank you for that sir! Keep up your great service team!

I placed a catering order here since it delivers to work. My guys are big El Pollo Loco fans. I ordered a slew of food. A couple catering packages which included enchiladas, sides, & churros in one and just chicken with sides. I also ordered burritos, taquitos, and tacos. Everything was on point. I called and spoke with Gloria and she took care of me right away. I asked for the order to be delivered by 11:15. I got here about 11:25ish which is why I gave only 4 stars. My luncheon was to start at 11:30. My understanding the delivery driver starts around 11am so she was kinda rushed. Anyway, food tasted great, my employees were happy. Will definitely order from them again.

What the heck happen to the Mac and Cheese, this was really bad, my boys wouldn’t eat it! They use to have the best Mac and Cheese, so sad!

The chicken at this El Pollo Loco is usually good, but not always. The sides are pretty mediocre. I like their side of salad, but you don’t have a choice of dressing. The corn is all right. My wife likes the rice. Recently, they added broccoli, which she likes. The tortillas (flour or corn) that they give with the meal are terrible. I get the two piece white meat (breast and wing) with two sides for $ 6.69. I have to watch them when they ring it up, because they like to charge the combo price. I don’t want a soft drink. I like to take it home and have a beer or glass of wine with my meal. The service thru the drive-​thru is much faster, but I have trouble communicating my desire to have a meal without the drink. Part of the problem is mine, since I am hard of hearing.

I love eating here after the gym. Very healthy and the ladies in the front cashier are always nice.
They need to get it together about cilantro dressing. Some of the workers give it to me for free and the rest want to charge a dollar?
It should be free like the non-​franchise ones.

Ever since Pollo Loco changed their recipe several years ago, I stopped patronizing it as much. No more chile in their beans and the lime was reduced from their chicken recipe so I sort of lost my love for this place. I do like the new menu items though and will often stop by for a tostada or some yummy carne asada tacos.
This past Saturday August 15, I stopped by here after a trip to Knotts Berry Farm. My reason for writing this review is not just the food (my poblano burrito) was delicious, I wanted to also point out how great the service was in general. I don’t do drive thrus even though they had one, I walked inside and noticed how clean it was and also how super friendly my cashier was (Indian woman, I forgot her name). Anyhow, this visit was great, good customer service, clean and good tasting food, thanks!

This location is better than others in the area because it attracts more customers. As a result, the chicken is fresher and juicier. Behind the counter, you can count at least 10+ employees working and rows of chicken being grilled.
One downside is their containers for salsas is SUPER small and it gets SUPER messy. If they are feeling generous, they might give you a big container.
Use coupons, especially if you live in the area look for coupons in the mail.
Lastly, ask for dressing if you get salad; otherwise, you will be without dressing.

The food here is always fresh. Service is super fast. Staff is friendly. I usually go here for dinner once a week for the family.

This place is very presentable. seats are comfortable, the food is good and great service!

El Pollo Loco is one of our favorite Stop for Casual fast food choices in Orange County.

The condiment bar was stocked well and clean (something rarely seen in some El Pollo Loco)
Speed of service: We arrived in the evening and during the rush hour but still got our food fast.

Just took my mom there after a long day. The place is plastered with shrimp advertisements yet when i ordered im told they have no shrimp. Okay im aggravated but i settle. Takes close to ten minutes for the food and as i walked up to the counter the manager grabs the corn cob off the plate ad says on second puts a new one down and asked if i wanted butter.
So i take the food to the table its luke warm at best the chickens incredibly dry but luckily i have lots of salsa. My moms tortillas had the use by sticker on it and was so hard she couldn’t eat them. After finishing and being aggravated by the experience we get a refill and start to leave. My mother exclaimed is that nooo. And i look at the salsa bar and on the front is a roach running around with the lights on and a room full of ppl. The manager just sat there at a table like we had two heads. If i wasn’t trying to hard not to barf id have gotten my almost 18 $ back. This place is terrible.

I wish I could give zero stars. This place is DISGUSTING. My son and I were heading home from a long day of activity, exhausted and just wanting to put the day behind us. We decided to stop here to eat as I was not going to set foot in the kitchen tonight. We should have went to Jack In The Box as we first wanted.
First, we ordered our food only to be told that they were out of shrimp. With signs plastered everywhere and the menu full of shrimp dishes, no shrimp. Ok. Something else.
After waiting far too long, my son went up to get our food when his name was called and the woman taking orders grabbed my corn on the cob and switched it out for another. My son didn’t think much of it, although the money handler should have never touched our food. She never explained herself. Again, we’re exhausted and just want to eat and go home.
So, we get our food and the chicken is barely warm and the corn on the cob is mushy. My tortillas were hard and inedible. The mood we were in, we just let it go, finished our meals and got up to leave.
On our way out we see a cockroach skurry across the front of the counter where the salsas are stored and suddenly we remember the «corn exchange» and just how much salsa we consumed.
Tomorrow we make an official complaint with the proper authorities. Tonight we vomit and eat some soup.

I suppose this review has been a long time coming.
I have not had one bite of El Pollo Loco food due to this location since 2001!!!

Sadly I wish I could give this location more stars… but the chicken is just not up to snuff. It is almost as if they don’t put enough marinade in the chicken or something. The location near my work in Newport Beach is so much better.
Other than the chicken being so-​so, the staff is really friendly and nice.

After a hot and long day at work, I didn’t wanna go home to cook, so I decided to buy some chicken for me and my family. Before I started asking my order the person in charge offered me some CHURROS for only $ 1 a piece.
Anyways, i placed my order (chicken breast some salad and off course a churro). When I got home i notice my chicken was dry and tasteless but I was hungry and i didnt wanna go back to complain, after all the salad was perfect. When I got to eat my CHURRO OMG!!! The churro had a nasty old oil flavor. It tasted GROSSssss it almost made me throw up :@ Seriously I took only one bite and straight to the trash can. The worst churros ever… If u really want some Churros… Costco’s are 100% better.
