what can i say about 67 West… your typical Chippewa bar to say the least. This place is a large, with a front bar area and a back bar area as well. lots of room to dance and have a good time. I was pretty wasted when we got there and the bar was fairly busy at this point. I do remember the bouncer being nice and another security guy who was polite as well. We did make the bartender make us a shot, that she didn’t make right to be honest but she tried and realized that she failed and was nice enough to comp a few of them for us since it was a mistake on her end. Honestly i would probably stop in again to this place over like bottoms up if that’s still an option, it’s just larger and the staff was much friendlier.

67 West. I will start by making it known that I do NOT like Chippewa. Nobody will probably believe me because I’m pretty sure I’m a regular at 67 West. BUT, that being said, I really don’t mind this bar. Everyone is so friendly and the two times I have been here I haven’t been disappointed. Both times were for a friends birthday, and both times we had a lot of fun. They play great music so it’s a good place to dance! We all earned our Footloose badges by checking into here, and also Marcella’s, so obviously it’s a great dance place! This past weekend I didn’t drink at all so I’m not sure if they have pricey drinks or not, but they have quick service and the bartenders don’t play favourites. Which is nice. They also have the different red bull flavours! So I had the yellow one to give myself some energy since I wasn’t drinking. Their back patio is super nice and very spacious. It got pretty crowded but not overwhelmingly so for a Saturday night which I appreciated. My only complaint is that people can smoke on the front patio-type thing, which, isn’t a huge deal, but the entrance is wide open so I often got breezes that smelled like smoke and I hate the smell. It’s also not attractive, so yuck. All in all, I won’t cringe when people make me go here. It’s definitely one of the preferred places on the Chip Strip. X’s ad O’s! J

Found this on one of the bar crawls, actually had fun and have come back a few times. Cheap drinks, divey goodness and not as teenage trashy as the rest of the strip. So if your friends insist on making you go to Chippewa, this isn’t a bad choice.

Come here when you are drunk and plan to get more drunk. I don’t usually hang out on Chippewa but I always manage to have fun when I go to 67. You definitely have to be in the right mood and with the right crowd though.

I would say this is the closest thing you’d get to a dive bar on Chippewa. And because of that, you get a whole funky mix of ppl. You get the spillover of the club-goers that are too cheap to pay the $ 5 cover from Bottoms Up on some nights and elsewhere. And then you get the bums dressed in Sabres/Bills gear knowing that dress code here doesn’t exist. One thing I do like is that they play music videos of the songs they play on their TVs. But you pretty much never know what you’re going to get out of this place on a given night but it’s always worth peeking in since there’s no cover.

I would rate this One Star about your usual Chippewa Bar, as it still gets a mid-30s crowd, though it definitely skews younger. It’s like a college bar for those of us older people who somehow end up on Chippewa(most likely post-sabres gaming).
