One of the best portobello mushroom/grilled veggie sandwiches I’ve had. Plenty of flavor from basil pesto and fried/breaded piece of goat cheese. Accompanied by home made potato chips and a fantastic dill pickle. Other family members had burgers and salad and everyone was pleased with their meals. Very attentive service Loud 80’s music in the background makes it a tad difficult to carry on a conversation. Side of onion rings was good but consisted of only 3 rings, a bit chintz. Mixed drinks pricey at $ 10.

Worst service ever, will never comeback again. Waited over a half hour for two burgers. The waitress didn’t even write down the orders and mixed my burger with my friends. Even waited to be seated and wasn’t even greeted right away. They offered drinks at the bar for our wait but that didn’t excuse for how long the serve took and the fact the waitress was ignoring us. She finally gave us our burgers and said make sure everything is right and walked away fast. We ended up leaving after 45 mins of waiting for our food and it coming out wrong. Not worth the time or wait.

I came here for a dinner meeting and ordered the veggie burger. I must say, this was probably the best portobello burger that I’ve had in a while. Usually, I find that mushroom burgers are slimy and all of the veggies slide out of their soaked bun, but not this one. The veggies were well cooked but didn’t taste dried out. They were also very well seasoned and the fried goat cheese on top was DELICIOUS. And I really don’t care much for goat cheese, normally. My only complaint was that there was too much bun. I felt like the bread competed with the contents. The sandwich itself was amazing… but I would suggest more veggies or smaller buns. Although I loved the burger, my fries were a let down. I did ask for crispy, but I didn’t think that would be translated to over-fried. Most of them were hard as bricks and inedible. The ambiance was great and the lighting was dim enough to add a bit of privacy, which is very important to me. Others at my table had the chicken & strawberry salad, the zucchini & corn fritters, and the steak quesadilla; We all ordered a drink or wine and our total came to about $ 70, which isn’t bad. I would definitely come here again but probably not often as they don’t have many vegetarian dishes on the menu.

The drinks really save this place. Came here with my coworkers after a long day of work. It was a Saturday and not terribly busy but it took a minute for our drinks to come to us. Like the bartender as he/she was«heavy» on the pour. The food was good. I had wings and a turkey burgers/fries(there goes my diet). First time I had one with a fried egg so it tasted great! Probably would come back if I am in the area…

After hearing rave reviews about these truffled tater tots, I was very excited to go to SoHo Burger Bar for an early dinner this past Saturday night. We were seated quickly at a high-top near the door, but unfortunately this was the end of our good experiences. The waitress was nice enough but quite inattentive — as we were waiting for 10+ mins for her to come take our order, she was just standing at the bar talking to the other waitstaff. We finally ordered and the wait wasn’t terrible as discussed in other reviews. My partner got the bison beef on weck burger. It was a nice-sized patty but the horseradish was just plopped ontop with no au jus or any other accoutrements. The bun was really unfortunate — super soft and didn’t hold together well — it reminded me of a bun that comes in the pack of 8 in a plastic bag for a backyard BBQ. My veggie sandwich was decent — same bun — but those flavors are hard to mess up(pesto, goat cheese, roasted red pepper, zucchini, etc). Unfortunately the tater tots were a huge flop. They tasted almost completely of egg, not potato or truffle. It was more like a dumpling than a tater tot save for the crispy outside. Two burgers and a beer for $ 47 with tip… I was not happy. Two stars only because the pickle was really good. For delicious burgers and the best tots, stick to Allen St Burger Venture.

How many times have I found myself at soho at 3 am screaming shots shots shots evvvvvrryyyyybody… Too many times to know the correct answer. However after finally getting down there to actually eat there’s a new tune I’ll be humming and it’s called: Sohos burgers are to bootylicious for ya babe! The menu is limited to mainly burgers but when you go to a burger bar you’re there for two things. Burgers and Booze. However I did not participate in any alcohol consumption, but the Pepsi was crisp and cold.

My review is based on a Friday night at the bar. I was meeting old friends of mine from high school whom I hadn’t seen in ten years. The night there started off with me and my boyfriend paying $ 5 each because we didn’t meet their dress code. Fair enough. We looked nice but apparently not nice enough. We came from a concert at Town Ballroom and we’re just trying to show face to see friends from so long ago. We ended up spending a decent amount of money at the bar for ourselves and the ladies I was meeting out. We spent about an hour there and were probably the most sober people there minding our own business and having a good time. The bouncer comes over and asks my boyfriend to turn his hat around so he did. Ten minutes later, after already spending money and being there for awhile, they tell us we have to get our because he had a hoodie on… So this was okay initially… But now it wasn’t? We were just there drinking and talking with old friends and got kicked or for that. There were people there too inebriated to even speak but WE got kicked out. Tell me how that makes any sense. I will never go back to this establishment based on the way we were treated. We spent good money, tipped well, and were kind and considerate to all of the staff. I’ve worked in restaurants for a long time and the way we were treated at Soho is not the way you treat people. If I could give zero stars I would. I will say the bartenders were great. No wait on drinks and very friendly. The one plus side to the bar.

I have wanted to grab dinner here for some time and finally made plans to check it out. Back in my single days, I spent many nights hanging out at the bar so to go for dinner was a completely different experience. We had a party of 6 and I was able to walk in at 5 and get a table to comfortably fit us all. The server was attentive right away, eager to take our order. Everyone at the table ordered burgers except for me. I loved the description of their mixed greens and strawberry salad so that is what I went with. They have a good deal for anyone ordering burgers, they offered any side for a $ 2 additional charge, compared to $ 6-$ 8 if you were to order separate. Each person at the table ordered regular fries, truffle tater tots, zuchinni & corn fritters and the onion rings. Here is the reason I didn’t give 5 stars, the wait was really too long for burgers. Our food took almost 45 to come out. I could maybe understand if the place was packed but there were only 2 other tables when we ordered. When the food did arrive we were thrilled as we were starving. Here’s the other reason for the 4 stars, the food was not hot. The zucchini and corn fritters and the truffle tater tots were luke warm and the burgers were not pipping hot. They said the burgers had good flavor though. Now my salad was very good. Huge portion, lots of strawberries and chicken over the top, it just needed a little more dressing which the waitress brought me after asking a 2nd time for it. Might have to stop back and give it another shot!

A huge thank you goes out to Jay and his staff for the wonderful private party they held for my family. The food was delicious and the staff was terrific. The atmosphere is so inviting and cozy and the food is top notch. Can’t recommend SoHo Burger Barr enough.

Ate here after the Bills game, l ordered the Sho burger. It was very good, the fries were good as well. I would’ve given this place 5 stars but the staff is horrible. They seem annoyed when customers came in the establishment, most were on their cell phones not paying attention to the customers. If you can deal with a crappie staff the food is good.

Huh… Don’t know why soho is batting at 3 stars. Their burgers are deRicious! Gold standard is a favorite +boozy milkshakes! Imo soho is better than abv, not as blown out always, not as loud, & much more comfortable.

I decided to try Soho Burger Bar the day after thanksgiving and let me tell you I am thankful. I came here because it is called a «Burger Bar» and wanted a burger so figured I would give it a shot. There were was one other table when I got there(around late dinner time) so I became a little worried, but a few more people started coming in while I was there. I ordered the Burger combo where you make your own burger and get a beer for $ 15. I got the standard roll, burger, cheddar cheese(cheese is 50 cents extra), lettuce, tomato, pickles, bacon(50 cents extra) and mayo. It’s an 8 oz. burger and comes with fries and a huge pickle. I was impressed by the burger, it was very juicy the roll was good and I guess $ 15 for a burger and a beer isn’t to bad. The service was average, nothing out of the ordinary, just brought out our food and drinks basically. Their normal menu had already made burgers with different toppings for around $ 15. It seemed a little pricey, but you can expect that from being located downtown. I didn’t really look at anything else on their menu since I just went for the burger. Overall, I had a good experience, service was okay, beer selection I worked with(I like microbrews they have only a few available) and food was great. I would go back in the future, but not anytime soon.

The tater tots were pretty terrible unfortunately, like little dry, cold, cinder blocks. And the turkey burger was dry. Super disappointed! Stick to drinks here!

Ughhhhhh Soho. You are soooo-ho mean. The staff are a bunch of jerks. Oh well. I only come here when I’m forced to. By friends who are meeting friends and blah blah blah. It’s Chippewa, who really wants to be here. The two stars are for the music and for the glass that was given to me with my beer/the prompt service by the bartender. Which, the girl bartenders were nicer than the dudes, usually doesn’t happen to me. But interesting nonetheless. I haven’t ever come here for food but I love burgers so I should probably consider it. The patio upstairs is nice when it’s open but it wasn’t when I came this weekend so that was lame. Mostly lame because the last time I was here before this weekend, I was too hammered to remember or enjoy myself. Ya win some ya lose some. I lost some. Legit. Lost $ 50 while here. That was sad. I don’t really like the crowd here, very Jersey Shore-esque. But, it’s what I would expect from being DT. So whatev. X’s and O’s! J

I’d much rather be here than anywhere else on Chippewa. I’ve never tried the food here so this review is solely on their bar/drinks service. The place is huge! Of course during summer and early Fall the best place to be is outside on the terrace. The DJ is spinning some pretty funky music(90’s MJ and pop on this particular night I was there). That, coupled with the view and great friends for company makes for a great night out on the town. The drinks are quick, the crowd is jamming and you’ll see everyone boogieing it to the music. You can tell from the vibe of this place that it isn’t going to be disappointing. Great place!

Who doesn’t love a burger, it’s just another form of Meat. Ground Beef made into a patty, ready to be grilled or broiled stacked between two buns with Condiments and other fixings along with a Cold Beer, what could be better than that. This was my last dining destination for Local Restaurant Week, It was me, Nathan and Sam(My Brother’s Girlfriend) Two things that we weren’t too happy about 1. even though it was steady(Not too Busy, Not too Slow, just in the Middle) we waited almost 15 minutes to be sat and 2. we were sat by the window and I agree with Sam(it was a little Chilly). It would’ve been nice to be put up on the Upper Deck, but it is what it is. We really enjoyed the lights above the Bar(Using empty Liquor Bottles as Lampshade, so Cool). Our waitress Nicole got our Drink order mixed up, she gave us Cranberry Cocktails instead of Cranberry Vodka(8 minutes later she brought them). She wasn’t checking up on us that much, we felt like we were being ignored, we had to wait 13 minutes for her so we could order our Food. We ordered our Burgers, Sam got the Gold Standard(8 Ounce Patty with Aged Cheddar, Applewood Smoked Bacon, Arugula, Garlic Chive Aioli and Tomato Confit), Nate got the Maytag Stuffed Burger(8 Ounce Patty stuffed with Maytag Blue Cheese and Topped with Applewood Smoked Bacon, I for one would not order that as I am not a big fan of Blue Cheese). I got the Red Hot Chili Burger — Everyone’s favorites as it says on the Menu(8 Ounce Patty with Aged Cheddar, Roasted Tomato’s and a Jalapeño Compote, I also added 250 Cent Toppings — Avocado and Applewood Smoked Bacon). Nathan and Sam said that there burgers were ok they both said there’s were a bit overcooked, Mine was great I loved the Heat from the Compote, Smokiness from the Bacon, Creaminess from the Avocado, Sweetness from the Tomato. I loved the Homemade Fries they had, we also enjoyed our Side Truffle Tater Tots(Tots tossed with Truffle Oil, Parmesan Cheese and Parsley) Nice and Crispy, I liked that the Truffle flavor was subtle. Finally we each got an Ice Cream Cone, Me and Nate got Chocolate while Sam got Vanilla. We enjoyed it for the most part, I’ll be sure to come back for another burger. Not sure about Nathan or Sam but we’ll see !!!

«Buffalo’s Best Burgers»? I don’t think so. Yeah… they’re okay… but honestly I’ve had much better ones at locally owned restaurants and even(gasp!) chains. My boyfriend and I came here for lunch. I had the«Red Hot Chili Burger»(aged cheddar, roasted tomato and jalapeño compote… $ 12) and he had the«Maytag Stuffed Burger»(stuffed with maytag blue cheese served with apple wood smoked bacon… $ 13). They were served with potato chips and a pickle, but we were told that for $ 2 more(each) we could«upgrade» to a choice of sides(Truffle Tater Tots, Zucchini and Corn Fritter, Hand Cut Fries, Sweet Potato Fries, or Onion Rings). I chose the Hand Cut Fries and he chose the Onion Rings. The burgers are supposedly a blend of beef specially ground at Johnny’s Meats and the buns are baked exclusively for this restaurant at Romeo’s bakery. I’m sure it’s true… but I found neither especially memorable. They did taste nice and fresh and they were cooked to our specifications. The toppings neither added nor distracted from the flavor of the beef. They were just kind of «there». And, the upgrade of sides was hardly worth it. My fries were far from crisp, and my boyfriend’s onion rings(while delicious!!!) were a rather skimpy portion… only 5 rings. The pickles are worth mentioning though… huge, fresh, and tasty! For a extra special treat I had a «spiked shake»… something with bourbon and vanilla ice cream and caramel. It was creamy, dreamy, and decadent. That alone was worth the trip!

The food is pretty good and the prices are right, but the best part of eating at SOHO is the ambience. It a cool bar with a lot of interesting things to look at. A great spot for an after work cocktail and some stick-to-your-ribs bar food. Whoever came up with the ideas of using used liquor bottle as light fixtures above the bar was a genius(it’s Pintrest, of course. I’m sure of that. Someday Pintrest will aid women in conquering the world. Oh sure, now you’ll find s’mores recipes, arts and crafts, pictures of cute cats and ideas for how to decorate one’s bathroom pinned up on people’s walls, but someday you’ll find«fun ways to dispose of your husband’s body», and operation plans for building a giant, inter-galactic death star made entirely of chocolate on Pintrest. Mark my words…). Where was I? Oh yeah, SOHO. I had the«Gold Standard». It’s an 8 oz. burger with cheddar, apple wood smoked bacon, arugula, garlic chive aioli and tomato confiton. It was fine. My wife had the«Maytag Stuffed Burger» with blue cheese and bacon. Hers was better. We also split the«Truffle Tater Tots». The taters weren’t terribly truffly, but they were super filling.

We came here during restaurant week on a rainy frigid Tuesday night. We didn’t make a reservation but I didn’t really think one was necessary and I was right. We were seated promptly — we really liked the nice cushiony leather chairs with the high backs, they were very comfortable. It was relatively quiet in there with many sporting events on the TVs but kept at very low volumes. Quite a few people came in alone and ordered burgers at the bar, looked like regulars. I ordered the bison burger which was dipped in Au jus and came on a kimmelweck roll with a very potent horseradish spread, which I enjoyed immensely. It also came with a small basket of what I assume to be homemade chips cause they were delicious, and a half of a pickle. Very cute presentation and a nice touch on the half pickle, I’ve always thought the quarter spears that most places give you simply isn’t enough. I like a bite of pickle to go with every bite of my burgers :) the only complaint I had was that I asked for my burger to come in a regular roll because I didn’t want all the salt but it came on a kimmelweck anyway. I didn’t say anything because I didn’t want to send the food back for something little like that, I simply tried to scrape off as much salt as I could. My fiancé got the gold standard burger(I think that’s what it was called). It’s basically a bacon cheese burger, first item on the burger menu. It was very good as well. Both of our burgers were made to order and cooked perfectly. We also got the garlicky tater tots as our one shared side(restaurant week special). It’s normally $ 7 and even though it was pretty good I don’t think it would be something we would get again, mostly because it was just too much food. It also tasted like they refried them to heat them up… With the deal we got 2 domestic drinks, being a bit of a beer snob, my fiancé ordered shock top instead so I got 2 glasses of Cabernet which was on the domestic list. The shock top was $ 6 but it is Chippewa after all so it was expected. We also got ice cream cones as dessert but my fiancé skipped that as well as he was already full and he still had beer left to drink. I got a strawberry cone and it was good. In the end, I think it was worth to go during restaurant week because for $ 20.14 it came with 2 domestic drinks 2 burgers, one side to share and 2 ice cream cones. Based on the burgers being between $ 12 – 15 each, I’d say it was a great deal that they offered. But will we go back at regular prices? That’s questionable.
