Great meal, I had the special, pork chop with risotto and vegetable everything was cooked perfectly. The patio was very nice. I would recommend this restaurant!

The sauce was magnificent. Unfortunately they were out of gluten free pasta(really…or maybe just disinterested in cooking it?) The menu is exceptionally limited for vegetarians… strange for an Italian joint.

Absolutely amazing food. Went here for restaurant week but two of my friends got regular menu items because they looked irresistible. All of the food was cooked perfectly, the sauces were amazing, and honestly the biggest scallops I’ve ever seen in a restaurant. A hidden gem– you must go if you’re looking for some place different in the Buffalo area.

This little Italian restaurant is perfect for a date night or a family dinner. Disappointingly they were out of the lobster ravioli but I was not disappointed by the eggplant Parmesan. The eggplant came with a decent size dinner salad and bread with butter. The bread was fresh and hot. The portion of eggplant was more than enough for two meals. It was joined by a side of noodles. They made butter noodles with cheese, which my son absolutely loved! The best part of the meal was their generous servings of wine! The grouper piccata was also extremely flavorful!

At first I was a little worried because it took us an hour to receive our food, but in between that time we had some delicious bread. There’s something about warm bread with oil. Then we also had salad, the house balsamic is very good. The fried calamari is good, just a bit over cooked. Dinner came and it was amazing! The chicken Saltinbocca was one of the best chicken dishes I have ever had. I just wanted to keep eating. I finished up with a cannoli, also amazingly good. The service was excellent, the place itself is cute. I can’t wait to come back!

I can’t say how disappointed I am in the level of customer service and treatment I received. It was my birthday and thinking ahead we called to make reservations. Upon arriving on time to the restaurant with my toddler and infant in tow, I was told that I couldn’t be accommodated because they«overbooked.» Think ahead before considering this restaurant.

Impromptu date night with the hubs and I wanted Italian. We’ve been here once before and the sauce is really good. I’m from downstate NY where sauce is not sweet so we frequent restaurants that have great sauce. Amici’s is one of these places. Food and service was great! Definitely going back again!

This was my first time and my wife’s first time at the restaurant. We joined my brother and his wife for dinner tonight. The food and service were excellent! We travel to NYC several times per year and this restaurant reminded us of so many great Italian restaurants in Manhattan. We ordered off the special $ 20.00 anniversary menu. All entrees were excellent. I ordered the brargiole and loved it! Our waiter was Joe. He was very knowledgeable on the menu items and was extremely helpful and professional and had a great personality. We definitely will ask for Joe the next time we make a dinner reservation. Looking forward to another dinner at Amici’s.

Extremely good food served in a very nice restaurant with excellent service(especially Sara). Will definitely be back. Even the salad with blue cheese dressing was outstanding. My drink before dinner was also perfectly prepared.

Wonderful dinner this evening! Calamari was a fresh and light appetizer; herbed oil with complementary bread was delicious! I had the veal marsala which was very tender and loaded with mushrooms. Two other members of the party had pasta with white clam sauce and they loved it. Service was excellent! Nice selections of wine too, most glasses were about $ 8.

I have visited here a few times and I love it! Very fresh and authentic Italian food. Cozy and friendly atmosphere. They were very accommodating when I asked for a vodka sauce in place of a wine sauce. My mother thoroughly enjoyed the sea bass dish. Will be coming back asap!

I only had a drink and dessert but my parents had dinner. My drink… campari, sweet vermouth, and champagne. Unique, but not something I enjoyed enough to ever order again. For dessert: angellato. Hazelnut gelato with a shot or espresso on top. Mmmmm

The food was ok but outrageously priced as house wine was $ 10/glass — sorry but it wasn’t worth the $ 100 Bill — the wine should have been $ 5 – 8 range… Won’t be going back anytime soon

I came here only a couple times and had good experiences each time. Atmosphere is casual/romantic. The restaurant itself is not big, and has a low ceiling(which I don’t really like in restaurants). But the food was satisfying. I had the Chicken Florentine, which was tasty. The serving size is good — I was full but not stuffed. The prices are a bit high but that’s because it’s a classic Italian restaurant. Worth trying a few times if you’re a fan of pastas/Italian food!

This was a great experience with excellent(!!) food. I’m marking it down a star due to the only pretty-good atmosphere and prices of the specials that I found were around $ 7 – 10 more expensive than most of the menu items, yet weren’t listed. That said, our waitress was excellent — nice, efficient, not in our face but always there when we needed her. I ordered the grouper piccatta, and I’d have it again in a heartbeat. It was a special, but it had the perfect amount of spice and was presented in a lovely fashion. It’s the best Italian restaurant I’ve been to in town. I read the earlier negative reviews and made sure to make a reservation, so I had no problems getting in. It was super packed, so I think recommendations are certainly in order. Overall, an *excellent* experience and I’m happy to recommend it. I tried it on a Living Social deal — I probably wouldn’t have tried it otherwise, but I’m quite happy I did!

I don’t find Amici to be especially bad *every* time I’m there, but I’ve never left happy and I think that’s enough for a 2 star review in a place as great as Buffalo. I’ve landed at Amici multiple times and in lots of ways — a birthday celebration, a shower, a funeral breakfast, etc — so I’ve seen the extent of their capabilities. My worst visit included a terrible tasting and completely overpriced piece of fish with hair on the plate in a restaurant which was over 100°(no exaggeration). The manager kept insisting that the a/c was on and waited until we ordered our food to admit that it was broken. My 85 year old grandmother was on the verge of exhaustion when we finally insisted they accommodate our group outside(not only was the 90° weather outside better than inside, but we could warn unsuspecting future diners of the temperature inside). When all was said and done, due to the fact that the owners knew a member of our party — we all paid full price for our meals: including the one with hair on it. My best visit involved a pretty tasty meal but an under-stocked open bar and again, a room a good 10° over the temperature it should be for a comfortable meal. For some reason, the door leading outside is not only very close to tables inside, but doesn’t close on its own. Yes, a good portion of the food on the menu is very good — but here’s a little secret for you: Italian Village has the same recipes and you won’t have to deal with the unpredictable, at best, service and atmosphere at Amici.
