I’m in love(with Anderson’s), I’m in love(with Anderson’s), and I don’t care who knows it! I have a sick obsession with all things Anderson’s. Boyfriend even knows when I say, «want to know what I’m in the mood for?» that there is a 99% chance I will say, «Anderson’s.» From the roast beef to the cheeseburgers, I love all of the sandwiches I have ordered from here. I also love the dipping cheese sauce, and both the cajun fries and the regular fries. Admittedly, I have only tried the chocolate custard when it comes to the ice cream, but I do get it every time I come, and I always have cravings to eat more. It is my favorite ice cream in the entire Milky Way galaxy, and when people ask what I want for my birthday or Christmas, I always say, «an Anderson’s gift card.» YUMYUMINMYTUM.

This is my opinion is my least favorite ice-cream. It has a sort of warmth to it that makes it less appealing. In the summer month’s this is not the type of ice-cream that I would want since it has that thick consistency. I like the fact that they offer food. I’ve had the food here and it wasn’t too bad. Overall this place is just okay. There are several places that offer grill and ice-cream that I would go to 1st before coming here.

I love Anderson’s. I really do. I almost had a spell when I found out their cinnamon custard has tiny pieces of Red Hots in it. Their roast beef is amazing. Consistent, reliable, plenty of au jus on the side. They offer gluten-free Costanzo’s rolls, for an extra $ 2.00(unless you truly have a gluten allergy, skip this option. It tastes as dry as a dusty rock). I love their birthday club(free cone). I love that they offer half-price cones when it’s snowing. I love that they use milk without any rGbh Sometimes the restaurant could be cleaner(tables are sticky, floor needs mopping) & its not just this store. Their salads are overpriced and unmemorable. But. the PRICESHAVEJUMPED(not just a quarter here & there) FOURTIMESINFIVEYEARS. Anderson’s has gone from a once a week stop to a three-times-a-year treat. OTOH, ignoring the business model and focusing on quality product, I understand the need for higher prices. An extra star for refusing to compromise their quality and reputation.

Stopped in with the family and had a bite to eat. Beef on weck, was good as always. Baked potato with extras was something different and tasty good. Chili fries was good too. Service was fast and friendly. Restaurant was clean, restrooms were clean also but work on the graffiti.

A Buffalo classic for all things delicious and quick! They have daily specials for their custard with very innovative flavors, like key lime pie soft serve. For food, I always go for a kids meal, because it is plenty enough food. It will set you back an easy $ 6 for fries, choice of sandwich(highly recommend roast beef), small drink, and an ice cream token for a 1 scoop. For a reliable & fast meal, be sure to stop at one of their many locations throughout WNY!

After a LONG Vacation across Eastern Canada we settled down to rest in Buffalo for a week at a friend’s house — But a girl’s gotta eat — so we found our way to Anderson’s. This place has THEVERYBESTROASTBEEFSANDWICHES– anywhere. Ever. period.(Get the Carl’s Choice — it has extra meat) AND Gluten free bread and gravy.(I Thought I had died and gone to heaven) The roast beef was so rare and juicy, the cheese sauce was creamy and JUST cheese, the pickle was sour and crisp, the roll was gluten free, the Au Jus was rich and gluten free. And as if that wasn’t enough — the chocolate and vanilla custard swirl was gluten free and SERVEDON A GLUTENFREECONE! Most of the ice cream was gluten free and when my 15 year old son started exploring the freezer– he discovered that Anderson’s has Gluten Free FLYINGSAUCERS on CHOCOLATECHIPCOOKIES… the boy was happy. We ate there almost everyday of the Buffalo stay — I wish they would franchise and open in Brooklyn.

This is your run-of-the-mill Anderson’s. They have the same selections as every Anderson’s in the area does. Their beef on weck is good, but does not top Charlie the Butcher. Also, their prices are outrageous for the quality you’re getting. I’ll be back again and again as it is a Buffalo staple that is unless Charlie decides to head over to the north Buffalo area.

How can you not love Anderson’s?! We get dessert there fairly regularly, sometimes a beef of weck, too. It’s not always the cleanest but I can’t complain for fast food. The kids behind the counter are generally pleasant enough.

I feel a wave of nostalgia in this review, and I dearly hope that it’s not affecting my judgment. I’ve been taken to Anderson’s for as long as I can remember, and this one in particular is very near and dear to my heart. But in the end, the long exposure has shown me the darker side as well. I cut to the good part: the custard. It’s fantastic. It gets increasingly rare to find places which do it well, and instead slink back to McDonalds standards. I had to try some again to be sure I wasn’t lying to myself, and it wasn’t. In addition to that, they have an impressive array of hard ice creams, and sundaes and all sorts of frozen treats to make this a stop. Unfortunately, I have to balance that against the food. In all fairness, it’s not all bad. In fact, it’s better than a dessert place should be. The curly fries are, in general, a treat but the sandwiches are just ok. The décor doesn’t really help, and I often find myself wanting to get out as soon as possible rather than linger. But what really swings it for me is the addition of LevelUp to their payment options. For those who don’t know, LevelUp is a phone app which allows you to pay with a backed credit card, and gives you discounts for trying new places. As such, I got a major discount. If what you’re looking for is what they’re best at, and advertise the most heavily, I doubt you’ll be disappointed.

Tried Anderson’s for the first time ever yesterday. Just got a beef on weck combo. The beef on weck was solid. Beef was tasty and cooked well, weck roll was nice and fresh. Fries were also good. Everything went smooth with the order. I’d definitely go back and would actually give another star but it is a bit pricey at almost $ 10 for the combo.(The 5 oz. that is). I guess if I was ever in need of a quick weck this would be the place to go.

This review is for one thing only: Hot apple crisp sundae. Only available in September. Best dessert ever

The beef on weck is decent, nothing to jump in your car and run to get right now though. The price changes they make to promote certain food can be a good thing and can also be a let down if it’s something you don’t like. The cheeseburgers are halfway decent as well, again nothing to make you rush out and have to have one right now. The deserts here are great, my particular favorite is the hot fudge sundae. I tried the custard and didn’t think i’d like it as much as I did, it’s pretty darn tasty. This place was where my mother and I would go eat at times to spend some time with each other. It has a spot in my heart because of that. Anderson’s is also one of my mom’s favorite places to eat, which always put a smile on my face to bring her there and make her happy by doing so.

Let’s put aside for a moment that the Anderson’s are friends with my parents and quite possibly the nicest people I have ever met. This is place is dope, regardless of affiliation. There was an Anderson’s location across the street from my high school and we used to pop over after classes for a treat. There’s just something about Anderson’s that reminds me of home — the service is always spot on – and maybe that’s because they hire generally high school and college aged kids who are trying to prove something to each other, but event still, I’ve never received bad service here. Roast beef, SEASONED curly fries, twisty cone and a loganberry. That my friends is worth Unilocaling about. Call in sick tomorrow and try that order and then tell me it wasn’t great advice.

Not the best roast beef sandwich in town but it’s easy and this month they were only $ 3! Toasty roll and pretty tasty beef. Love the sundaes and the custard too but the sundaes with fudge and caramel can get pretty goopy. Unfortunately this locations décor is pretty outdated and it always kinda looks messy in there.

My initial foray in to the wondrous world of frozen custard was a pretty hard act to follow. Here’s the skinny: So while the rest of Buffalo may see Anderson’s as an iconic, cubist diner, serving sandwiches, salads and that namesake dessert, I’m afraid that rich history falls flat with what’s supposedly made them famous. The custard is too soft, and while the creaminess is pleasant on the tongue, it lacks the richness of a thousand yolks. Or any real discernible flavor, for that matter. The best I can equate it to is a slightly sweet, minimally crystallized ice milk. To call it vanilla would be an understatement. And the beef on weck? After Bar Bill and even Charlie the Butcher, this one feels prefabricated and swallows like a salted stack of mushy evening gloves. Perhaps a little harsh, but the texture is consistent with over-roasted beef and the sodium is through the roof, even for kimmelweck. It’s not a horrible place by any stretch, easily holding up to the best of the chain«breakfast anytime» spots. This said, «Meh. I’ve experienced better» takes the words out of my mouth.

Anderson’s was my first introduction to both frozen custard and beef on weck. Never have I been so sad to not live in Buffalo. Sure the beef on weck was a little salty, but so is every other version of that sandwich I’ve ever had. I feel like that’s part of the territory. And it’s best eaten outside under one of Anderson’s umbrellas. The frozen vanilla custard was so good. SOGOOD. I’ve never had anything like it– rich and just awesome. Can I go back now?

Well, I must give it to Anderson’s. They can produce a product that all of the people are fanatical about. So fanatical in fact that when some girl thought I was going to steal her parking space, she gave me the death stare that would threaten Medusa’s. It was that powerful. I should have stole her spot just to see what the out come would have been. When I went and found a new parking spot, and I saw her in the store, her sheer size told me she’s been eating quite a bit of frozen custard. I must admit, the frozen custard from Anderson’s is good. So good that I had to come back before I got back on a plane to LA. The frozen ices are also good. It was a bit more refreshing if you’re not feeling like eating anything creamy.

Frozen custard is NOT like soft-serve vanilla ice-cream. It’s very similar but it tastes like, get this, FROZENCUSTARD. It’s pretty unique IMO but I could only go w/the baby size. Still, good stuff. As for the beef on weck, overpriced but still well done. This is the first place I’ve been to that’s asked me if I wanted condiments on my BOW. I basically got all the fixings that you would normally get w/a burger and it was a nice twist to what I was used to. That kummelweck roll though is saltier here than at most places. Still, the two things this place is famous for lived up to the hype.
