Went there today for first and last time. Couple in front of us ordered and heard them say that lady not very nice. Then our turn to order. The lady was very«odd» and rude! She asked what we wanted and as we told her she kept giving us weird looks. Then the food came. My friends fish was under cooked and the rest of the food on the plate was disgusting looking. My friend said excuse me but my fish is not cooked properly. The lady said it is cooked how we cook it. my friend responded that it was undercooked. The lady said in a creepy sarcastic tone, «Ok I’ll recook it for you» .she had this scary look on her face when she said it. then my friend said can I just have the fish I do not want any of this other stuff on my plate. The lady said in a nasty tone, «I told you that was all part of the meal now you are going WAAWAAWAA I don’t want it. I took my burger and we went outside to wait for the fish. My burger was disgusting. Greasy and roll was like 5 days old!!! WE decided to just leave. As we were leaving a couple in the truck parked next to us asked us if we had trouble inside. We told them what happened and then they told us how nasty the lady was to them. I have to say I have never been treated so horrible in a restaurant. THISPLACESHOULDBECLOSED!!!

I have to say that you must go to the Bedrock to enjoy just how crazy the owner is and can be. I asked if the soup was gluten-free and was told by the very friendly cashier that it was not. I ordered a hotdog without the bun. When I picked up the hotdog, the owner told me and that she had read that you should not eat gluten-free because gluten is good for your cholesterol levels. She insinuates her opinions whenever and wherever they are not welcome. Although this was upsetting, it was also rather funny. The food is okay and the support personnel seemed to be very friendly. The owner is out of her mind.

This place isn’t super cheap, it’s comparable to other take out places, and in my opinion the food Is terrible. We got chicken sandwiches and the chicken patty was so cheap and gross looking. Also, someone in our group got a steak sandwich– there was hardly any steak(looked like steam ums) and the buns are like tops potato buns. I didn’t like anything. The only thing I do like is being able to take your food outside and eating on the large rocks near the water. If you eat inside… beware of giant pre-historic spiders ! I spotted one in the corner on an enormous spider web and another under out table! My daughter almost screamed and ran out! I understand this is more of a casual place with outdoor«patio» furnature… but at least get some spider spray! It’s like $ 3.99 at Walmart! They should be UNWANTED guests!!!

Ok. We met the crazy owner tonight. She told us never to come back. This is what happened. I asked for an ice cream cone. They have a big Perrys sign listing 10 favors or so. Owner said they don’t have any cones, dish only. Ok, give me one scoop of this and one scoop of that. Nope, the owner said, we can’t mix flavors. I really thought she was kidding! Nope, she was serious. Well, give me a root beer float with a scoop of this in it. Nope she said, can’t do it. Only can get vanilla. Again, I thought she was kidding. After that she got irate, told us they were closed and to get out! The food — well, it sucked! Dog meat burger, dried out chicken. Nice view. Too bad the owner is a nut. Don’t go here. Really! There’s plenty of other joints along the lake with decent food, a nice view, and owners that actually care about their customers. How does this dive stay open ???

Awful service. The cashier did not include a sandwich in our original order, we did not find out until we received our order. The waitress was very apologetic, and vowed to fix it. She came back in a few minutes to inform us that the sandwich we had ordered was not available, and that we needed to order another item. My son choose a different entrée, and the waitress informed us that she would bring it out to us momentarily. We were called to the counter almost immediately to pay the difference in the bill. 25 minutes later, his food had still not come out, despite numerous of the same orders coming out to different customers. We asked the waitress why the same orders were coming out, yet my son had not received his food, despite the fact that they had made an error in the order, and were quick to get our money. She was apologetic and stated she was trying to fix it, but the manager wouldn’t change the orders. My wife asked to speak with the manager, and was told that she was to busy. 10 minutes later, we still did not have my son’s food, at which time I asked that the food be put into a to-go tray. 5 minutes later, a total of 40 minutes after we received our initial order, the food came out. The waitress apologized and stated she would give us free ice-cream if she could, but… Never going back, $ 54 for three fish fry and a cheeseburger, on top of the late food fiasco!

I have eaten here about 50 times. Over the last few years the prices have gone through the roof and the food quality has gone down. The owner can hardly pretend to like any of her customers and is always in a foul mood. Today we witnessed a woman standing in line asking the owner a question. Simple questions. The owner became irate and said we have no more food goodbye, goooooo. I will never eat here again. I was embarrassed for the family.

On Sunday, October 12th my family, including my 86-year-old mother, decided to enjoy the sunny afternoon by having dinner outside at the Bedrock Eatery. As my husband and children assisted my mother to a table, I ordered her a drink and told the owner the rest of my family would be right in to complete the order. Being the only patrons in the restaurant she agreed to add it to their bill. I returned outside, handed the $ 5 bill to my husband and explained the situation. An hour later, the owner approached our table and verbally accused me of stealing the drink. Loudly and abusively, I was called a liar, a thief, and she threatened to have me arrested. My husband, a Hamburg business owner, promptly paid for the drink and expressed his disbelief. He was told to leave and to never come back. His ride home was spent consoling both my elderly mother and myself. Never in my 52 years have I ever been treated in such a horrific manner. In addition to this awful treatment, I don’t have anything good to say about the food either. The hamburgers are okay but the salads are not worth their price. Also the BBQ pulled pork sandwich was described by my family as thin and slimy. If you want good food and to relax near the water in Hamburg I recommend Tony’s Bayview Drive In. We will absolutely not ever go back to the Bedrock Eatery.

It’s a waterfront dive with a good view. The food is okay and the milkshakes are great. Stick with burger and fries and fried bologna sandwich. Prices are okay, expect to pay about ten a person unless you’re just having a hot dog.

I’ve stopped here a few times, the last time because my husband and I thought it was a seafood shack we remembered. It most definitely is not! That said, the food was unoriginal but tasty, the ice cream delicious, and the rocky retaining wall kept the kids busy while we waited for our order. A good place to stretch after enjoying the long wait at the Canadian border, and an inexpensive, simple lunch on our way to PA.

If you come in knowing your getting a $ 2.50 cheeseburger you will be satisfied. I read some were not happy with the quality. Again, it’s $ 2.50 for a cheeseburger. Great location, cheap food. Front counter was a little slow, but it was busy and early in the season.

The fish fry was very bland. The tartar sauce was tasteless. The root beer float was great! The chicken Caesar salad was very good. The view of the lake was excellent but the plastic tables and chairs were junky looking!

Great place on the water. Go into the place, grab a menu and mark what you want or the person at the register will do it for you. It was a Friday so I had the fish fry that came loaded with fries, three different salads and bread. I didnt have any room for ice cream. Listen for the number from the menu and grab your food from the counter. Casual. Can get loud but its family oriented. It can be a little windy here.

Took the family there for first time, 2 adults a nine yr old and 6 yr old. Good food, great milk shakes, root beer floats, average cheeseburger, price is right, hefty order of chicken fingers, my fish sandwich was great with plenty of fish to fill the bun. It is a serve yourself set up order and pick up at the window. Great view of the city and seating inside and out where the breeze off the lake is great. $ 40.00 for our meal. We will go back.

First, a couple of not-so-minor details. Being a Hamburg native I can assure you that the address shown here is NOT Buffalo. Technically it is Blasdell. Also, the map seems it indicate it is a bit inland. It is not, it is RIGHT on the sand on Lake Erie, very close to Hamburg Town Park beach. That doesn’t make a lot of difference, except to assure accuracy for future reviews. The big question is, how is the food? I have to tell you, this place is a gem. It’s only open during the summer(the day I wrote this review they were busy putting the screens in the windows, a good thing because being on the beach there tends to be a variety of things that may fly through open windows or doors). The menu is not fancy and that is the beauty of Bedrock Eatery. Simple, local beach food served by friendly people at a friendly price. Our group had a range of menu items, but burgers and hot dogs seemed to be the most popular. The burgers are exactly what a burger should be … a bun with a decent sized piece of burger and YOU add your own condiments … no fancy, forced gourmet burgers that leave you tasting zero of the hamburger itself. My personal choice was a simple char-broiled hot dog. Something so normal locally that if a restaurant cooks it any way but char-broiled it seems like something from a distant planet. But yet, WNY is one of the few places a char-broiled hot dog is considered normal. Mine at Bedrock Eatery was perfect. I got to choose my own condiments(unlike some places that insist on putting them on for me). I like my hot dogs a certain way and I don’t want anyone to mess with that. If it doesn’t have Weber’s mustard, fresh made red chili relish and a crispy dill spear, it’s not«my way». Too bad some places are serving ordinary yellow mustard instead of Weber’s. Too bad some places are serving bottled red relish(or no red relish at all) and too bad some places don’t get the importance of a crispy dill spear. Sorry, Ted’s … I love your hot dogs but Bedrock Eatery gave you a serious run for the money today. Everything, including a richer loganberry pop, made my hot dog here just a bit better. Maybe it was sitting a few feet from the lake? Did I mention the staff is extremely friendly? Likely because they are more family than hourly workers. At least try it, my experience was a solid 5 stars.

Boy oh boy do I love me some burger joints! This place is awesome for the summertime, with a prime pretty much floating in the lake location, and mighty tasty burgers and«slime dogs»(texas red hots) this place is great to bring in the summer or to take the family. They used to serve fried frog legs, which I always wanted to try, but sadly they have been off the menu for about a year or so. They also got rid of the homemade curly fries and only serve what I can assume are frozen straight cut fries.
