Bella’s pizza is really good, especially if you like extremely greasy pizza. I tend to order their specialty pizzas more often than the regular cheese and whatever topping combo. They just don’t seem as greasy. The wings aren’t anything to brag about so I don’t usually order them. The chicken tacos are huge and delicious, but like their pizza very greasy. Notice a common theme? Grease. As far as their subs go, they seem to have went downhill the past few years. It’s like every time I give them a try it’s worse than the last. The lettuce and tomatoes are usually put on sloppy and the tomatoes always seem to be from the bottom of the bin texture. Just another Item I stopped ordering. All in all, I grew up eating at this place, and I hope one day it tastes like it used to, but I think bigger tv’s and a bigger lobby will just cloud the thought of making better food.

This is the best pizza south of downtown. Their fresh dough is always crispy. This is also the best calizones(bellzones) I’ve ever had. Nobody does it better in the southtowns than Bella!

Need to update the«everyday specials» part of the menu. Lg Pizza &20 wings says 22.99 and is actually 27.99. Add 3.00 tax, 3.00 tip & delivery charge of 3.00 and it’s about $ 37. Pricy, but man was the pizza and boneless wings worth it!

Food there is great. I love that they use the thick pepperoni on the pizza. The wing’s there are good and the chicken fingers are huge.

Seriously my favorite pizza in WNY. The sauce is sweet and they always cook the pizza perfectly.

Came here on impulse when I was sort of in the area. They have a large space and you can eat in or takeout. The takeout section is different from eat in. That’s nice if you are eating in. Slices are $ 2.75 each I think. Two slices, one cheese and one pepperoni totaled $ 5.50. Not the cheapest in town but not the priciest either. And at least they do slices. It was fresh. It was hot. But it was undercooked. For me anyway. And under-seasoned, for me anyway. It also sort of sat in my stomach for a long time. Think it was the undercooked dough. Buffalo has so many pizza options everybody can have their own fav. Mine remains Chucks. But I’d come here again if in the area(near the Botanical Gardens). They do a brisk business, which I love to see, and it moves quickly. It was A-OK. But not quite 4 stars for me. Easy parking.

The best pizza in the area. I wish I could leave it at that and feel satisfied, but now I must include personal experience and long, convoluted similes to complete this argument. My first personal experience was pizza night with Fox. Now, I don’t think that Fox is a spokesperson for Bella Pizza. When Fox says something is good, Mrs. Bella Pizza is not slipping him a twenty to say good things about this pizza establishment. Fox truly wanted me to have the best pizza in the world. Thanks, Fox! So, like a Pizza Knight in Shining Armor, Fox whisked me to the corners of South Buffalo to indulge in oh-my-god delectable pizza. And oh-my-god delectable pizza it was! First, you enter the ordering area and they place this giant slice of scalding pizza on a paper plate. Then, you go into this dining room area to eat said scalding pizza. The dining area is very clean and they are constantly monitoring the tables and cleaning around you. There’s at least one person cleaning at one time. I thought that was a great thing to see. Bella Pizza is like a woman. First of all, if you didn’t know what«Bella» meant, it means ‘beautiful’, which every woman in the world is obviously beautiful so that’s the first point of this long, convoluted simile. Still with me? Great. BP has sweet, but not overbearingly sweet sauce. It’s twinge-y, with a soft kick. Bella is decorated as another slice of pizza; a slathering of sauce and a slight spread of melted cheese. But when you taste the combination of cheese and sauce, your mind is blown. Again, BP is like a woman. Outwardly, Bella Pizza can be beautiful, but it’s not until you consume the pizza that BP’s personality comes out. You can see dimensions you didn’t think possible; how does that sauce mix with that cheese? How does that slice of bread give such a wholesome perspective on life and it’s myriad of combinations? Why do I just want more more more after just having one slice? She’s a mystery, that Bella Pizza. I recently went back to Bella because the first experience was so captivating. With the first bite, I rekindled all of my feelings and love for this amazing pizza… like meeting an old lover on a porch swing when the sun is setting and you’re drinking lemonade(I’m looking at you, Nicholas Sparks), Bella is like coming home in ways you never knew were possible. Still with me? No? Okay.

I’ve been a lifelong fan… until now. I can honestly say that my past 2 visits have been unfavorable. Our fries were warm at best, and our subs looked like we were bothering someone back there in the kitchen. It was as if they were mad that they had to make us a sandwich. We were too hungry and in a hurry to send them back, so we remade them ourselves at the table. I’m from Lakeview and I used to go out of my way to go to Bella, but unfortunately this place has fallen victim to poor quality like all the others. Such a shame.

There I was, thinking Bella was just an emotionless basic, turned into a vampire by Robert«how did the Twilight books even get published» Pattinson. That changed as I put this in my mouth. No, not *this*. I’m talking about *that*(points to the Pizza pic). My new fave pizza in Buffalo. I still love Imperial, Mattina’s, Mineo’s, Franco’s on Eggert, and more, but Bella soared to the top of the list with the sexiest, gooiest, lusciousest, amazingest slices that ever caused me to use words that don’t even exist. Hence it’s my 2,500th review(this is becoming déja vu), so I’m going to rap about it. Yo. Yo my name is Fox and I’m a strange Fella, I eat pretty much anything but Salmonella, F. Scott Fitzgerald’s cool but I prefer Ella, And Burning Man’s nice but I’d rather do Coachella. I went to the bank and there was a cute Teller, I sweet-talked him into coming to my Cellar, We role-played, I was Yoda, he was Helen Keller, He showed me how to Windmill, I taught him to Propeller. I said my diamond’s so hard I make that Tiffany Jeller, He said I make sausage disappear faster than Penn & Teller, I said you make The Jam better than Paul Weller, But is it really meant to be the colour of Nutella? So then he was hungry, I was hungry as Wella, (Please no comments on my skill as a Speller), I said, there’s this place where the pizza is Hella, Good, so I took him and we went to eat at Bella! Best Buffalo-style Pizza I’ve ever had. I loved Zip’s(hit or miss), Imperial(still do), but Bella is juicier, tastier, wetter, better. But I’ve heard that wetter *is* better. Synonyms aside, if you don’t like Buffalo-style Pizza, try Bella’s huge, hot, melty, slippery, saucy, sexy slice, and put your pizza palate to the ultimate test in WNY terms. It really is that good, that if you don’t like it, I will admit you just don’t like Buffy Pizza and will stop trying. But don’t be afraid of how wet, slippery, piping hot(always make sure it’s piping hot), cheesy, bready, and pepperoni-y it is. Some don’t like sweet pizza, but I don’t find this sweet. There are hints of sugar in almost everything made in America(lol) but this is rich and perfect like David Beckham. Not dark/heavy/salty, but certainly not syrupy. For sweet, head up to Lockport’s Pizza Oven — so sweet, but not my thing. Now if you *do* like Buffalo Pizza, then holy moly, or molé if you go to nearby Vallé of Méxicoé(trying to use as many accéntéd és as possiblé bécausé I héard from a friénd of a formér lovér that accénts gét guys laid. You can névér say I didn’t try, amirité?) But yes if you *do*, then try Bella. You may find your new fave. Big, wet, melty-cheesy, greasy-pepperoni, shiny-shimmery, sexy-slippery, one of the best slices I’ve ever put in my mouth(and I’ve put plenty in my mouth, so to speak), it inches(I love the word inches) ahead of others for many reasons including consistency. I’ve yet to be given a cold, dry or congealed slice, or one which didn’t equal previous standards. No other WNY Pizzeria has achieved that unrivaled consistency in my experience, nor do most taste anywhere near this good. The biggest testament to excellence: I drive 45 mins from my house to get here(well, 35, but if any cops are reading, it was a typo, I meant 45), passing 238 pizzerias on the way. Nearby Imperial(2nd fave, I often get both) is dry, doughier, still unequivocally delicious. But in general terms and as the«quintessential Buffalo slice», Bella has edged in front. Come down to South Buffalo, try Mineo’s, Imperial, Bella. Don’t judge WNY Pizza until then. Bella gave me my groove back just like Stella, The crust is so good it can be eaten Acapella, The cheese is like Chris Martin(all Yella), With crispy Pepperoni swimming in the Mozarella. If it was in Brazil it would rule the Favela, If my tummy is a cell then this pizza’s the Flagella, If Pizza Hut’s a one-liner, this is a Novella, This slice is «Taylor Lautner», not Edward or Bella. I ran so fast to get here, I ruptured my Patella, When I slipped in the rain and almost caught Rubella, Until Rihanna let me stand under her Umbrella. Ella Ella. Eh Eh Eh. We went to the Pub and we shared a pint of Stella, We Netflix & Chilled while we watched Barbarella, We made out and listened to Michael Jackson’s Thrella, She showed me her Hopeless Place, I showed her my Goodfella. I had her like Cabaret had Liza Minella, I got repelled like Citronella when I ate her Paella, But I chose not to tell her, that she smelled of Mortadella, Cuz she looked like Cinderella and I ruled her like Mandela. She said«I went to Harvard» so I showed her my Cornella, Then I asked Ri Ri if she’d be my Abuela, She said«that means Granny!» and tried to cap me like Old Yeller, I ran away, but after days, I could still smell her… So I wrote a tell-all book and it became a bestseller. (But the straight-to-TV movie was less-than-stellar). (And since you asked, I’m a grower *and* a shower *and* a sweller).

Their pepperoni pizza is a tad greasy due to their use of thick cut pepperoni, but their sauce is really good. I really love their wings, especially their honey mustard. Though not a traditional Buffalo-style flavor, they’re finished on the grill and have a sort of smokey flavor, which I really like.

When I moved back to New York we ordered pizza and wings every Sunday for Bill’s games. Had no complaints until the Sunday when our wings were undercooked. My mother called to let them know and the manager was rude and disrespectful to her! I vowed from that day to never order from Bella again. That is not okay.

Been eating here since being a kid. Pizza is great if ordered well done to avoid so much grease, wings are great if you ask for extra crispy, and wraps are decent also. Never too long a wait and always solid. When I didn’t live locally I definitely craved some of this pizza but after returning to it not as impressed anymore. It’s like the local trough where everyone chooses to have a family dinner twice a week that’s twice the cost and twice as unhealthy as actually cooking.

Stopped in for a pizza(again) yesterday, and it was hands down the best pizza I’ve had in my entire life. Shut down all other pizza shops — Bella is the only one needed in this world. You want world peace? Bring Bella down to the UN and give them a piece. That’s all you need.

I’ve been getting Bella for almost 20 years, and I’ll probably stick with them for the next 20. The Pizza here is far better than any other pizza in WNY. It makes Imperial pizza seem as if it came out of the trash can. The only reason I can’t give them 5 stars is because the wings are always soggy unless you ask for them extra crispy with sauce on the side. Highly recommend if you are looking for great pizza. Ask for it well done.

A hit or miss restaurant. Sometimes the wings are spot-on amazing, and other times are greasy, over-cooked, rocks. Sometimes the pizza is perfect, and too often it’s nothing but a sponge of grease. Subs can be good, but I guess it all depends on who is making them. The eating room is large and cozy, with ordering windows both in the dining room and a separate area for take out and pickups. I haven’t been here in a while, and no longer live in Lackawanna, but I will say that when the food is spot on, it is easily the best in Buffalo.

Bella has missed the mark with everything except simple pizza n wings these days. Decided to give them another shot for my birthday dinner last night and was again very very dissapointed. Here is a pi ture of thier overpriced steak sub. Why exactly is this sub almost $ 8 with an advertised ½lb of meat? Not only false advertising but a HUGE rip off.

As soon as we walked in we were greeted and the server was friendly. All of my family liked everything because it was fresh and tasty. That for me alone is something hard to come by because my family and I are so picky. We ordered the Hawaiian Pizza & traditional hot wings. It was delicious! The dining area is also very clean and the seats are comfortable & spacious which is a plus! Highly recommend & will definitely be back.
