What a wonderful experience! This is the cutest place and the food is top notch. The owner is extremely attentive and I recommend sitting at the bar for the full experience. The meats and cheeses are perfection and sliced to order. The Pinot Grigio was a perfect pairing and we wanted to stay the whole afternoon to drink and enjoy our Italian delicacies. We added the marinated eggplant to our order and it is now on our must have list for next time! It took me back to my days in Florence but it is much cleaner than the resturaunts abroad haha.

I had a fantastic experience. I went here FRI for a private party(I didn’t pay for anything and I will not let that skew my review). Neat location on Hertel, cornered off a side street so parking is easy even if its busy. Walk in and the place comes off as very inviting. Long bar, good lighting, lots of seating. There’s a full deli in the back. Bathrooms are very clean. The beer and wine selection is great. Many craft beers, many of which are local. The bartender let me try whatever I wanted and was extremely patient. The food spread was the best I’ve ever seen for any party. Holy cow was the salami good(does salami come from a cow?) Delicious and spicy. Yummy olives. Tapenade which I must’ve had about eight different times. All sorts of meats & cheeses. Pizzas. Sandwiches. Everything was outstanding. Out of curiosity I checked their website for pricing and everything seems very reasonable. What blew me away the most was the hospitality. It was a fairly busy party and the bartender and hostess did an incredible job of making sure everyone had a drink, the food was replenished fast, and any inquiries were taken care of. Even the folks working the deli were very friendly. I noted that one of the owners is having a very serious surgery and the place will be closed for periods of time next month. Very sad to see, especially seeing how they’re trying to hard for the place to work. If I find myself north of the city I will be stopping here again.

Great space! Warm and inviting. We tried a variety from the menu everything was fresh and delicious. Our out of town guests were very impressed with the food and atmosphere. They were also excited to finally try that fancy new Root Beer. the owners were very helpful with planning a small family gathering for us. They made sure everything was perfect. I highly recommend this place and will be sure to go back soon!

My wife and I had heard great things and decided to stop in for a light and early diner the Friday before the 4th of July. It has a nice and cozy set up with the bar being the focus of the restaurant. The place was relatively empty it the awkward sort of way. I am not sure if this has to do with the time we were there, the holiday, or if it is always that way. They have a small but nice beer selection with local and seasonal choices. There wine selection seemed to follow suit as well. My wife and I shared the burrata. It was reasonably priced and proportioned, as well as delicious. Burrata is not a staple in WNY restaurants so it was nice to see it on the menu. We also split a margarita pizza that was disappointing. The pizza was very small and would have been overpriced even it had been larger. They used quality ingredients but it lacked the outstanding punch you would expect. To make matters worse it was also burned on the bottom. Since it was so small it is not like you can eat around it. In all I might go back for the burrata if I was craving it but it would have to be a special case. The panini seemed hopeful too but nothing jumped of the menu to try and the pizza was not worth it at all. There are better examples for less cash.

Great food and a friendly staff. They expanded the tap selection and the bottle variety is great. A happy hour secret for sure!

Friendly owners who are really trying to make this place work. However there are certain thing that just can’t be made up for in my eyes. The food is good not great, especially not for what they’re charging. The paninis are small and they come with literally a dressing cup size side. The«shared» meat, cheese and antipastas are too small. The pasta fagiole was also some of the worst I’ve ever had– it seemed like it might have had a real broth at the beginning of the week, but when I had gotten it for take out it was actually just beans and water. They are overcharging for what they’re selling, both per quality and per portions. Also slow service. Each time i have been there it has been the owner behind the bar and preparing the food and taking the orders. The better thing here is the burratta which is near impossible to find let alone find done right. Also pretty impressed with the wine and draft beer selection. However, I’m familiar with a lot of those wines and think the mark up is more than it should be by industry standards.

A really great addition to the Hertle restaurant scene. The owner Mike is a great guy and remembers your name and what you like. ½ off wine on Thursdays also is a plus. Definitely recommend stopping in for a drink or some food!

Popped in here yesterday after work to meet with my cousin and catch up. Upon entering, the place was EMPTY… well, besides my cousin sitting at the table waiting for me. I thought this was strange given the fact it was a beautiful, sunny, summer Thursday afternoon/evening. The doors were wide open, and there was plenty of seating outside. They had a sign outside at the corner«half off wine — see inside for details». So we sat there puzzled, where was everyone? Hmmm. My cousin already had her glass of wine, but I had to go up to the bar to order mine. I wasn’t sure based on the setting and lack of patrons how the service worked. No one came up to me/greeted me upon entry. Was I supposed to sit and wait for someone? Was I supposed to go to the only guy(owner?) standing behind the bar? It was perplexing. The«half off» prices were ranged from $ 3.50-$ 5.50 a glass. Unfortunately, they were served in mini juice glasses. I’m a glassware snob, I don’t like drinking wine out of anything that’s not a wine glass; I don’t care how«hip» it currently is. So that could just be a personal preference. Not to mention, we felt the«half off price» matched the half sized glass. I would never pay full/regular price for wine in that size glass. We ordered the breads and olives(see photo). We did not think it was worth the price tag of $ 7. We also ordered the Salumi plate(Prosciutto, Hot Casalingo Salami, and Hot Cacciatore Salami, with three cheeses). It was also served with more(of the same) bread and a TINY side dish of pasta salad(allowing us each two bites), for $ 18. We concurred that was worth the price tag. All in all, I think this place has potential, I’m just worried how long it will remain open if last night’s atmosphere was«normal». Note — VERY, VERY clean(including the bathrooms) Thumbs up!

Do you like wine? Cheese? Cured meats? OLIVES? This is the place for you. Salumeria Belsito is a cozy place that focuses on those few items. They also have beer, sparkling water drinks and some simple sandwiches. It is a relatively new biz but they have an amazing web presence(website, facebook, twitter) and the staff there was very pleasant and attentive. I went on a Friday night and it was not very crowded or loud, soft music playing. They have a nice wine list and a lovely selection of Italian and local Buffalo brews. The quality of the meats and cheeses were excellent, my friend and I shared the tour of italy plate. We opted for the olive salad on the side and I implore you to do the same. It is so good. Perfectly marinated olives with celery and red onion which is made in house. Salumeria Belsito made for a lovely Friday night just to chat with a friend. It’s very close by to my house so I suspect I will be here often!
