Pros: great service, super friendly staff, great upgrades on interior. Wings are great! Good times to be had! Cons: PA a little too loud, and a tobacco chewing bar tender spitting in a trash can placed next to the ice that is used to serve drinks. Very gross. Made me stop drinking. Also the bartender spitting chew near the ice changes the songs that are paid for at the jukebox. I paid for a Nirvana song and a Doors song and both were skipped. I am a local. I like this place. Please owners, your other tenders and bouncer are great. Get the kid with the chew on the day shift or not on a weekend.

Came here on a Saturday. This place is huge and super super clean. I’ve been told that they JUST remodeled the entire place. Lots of seating and a very large bar. We came in for one beer the Saturday of the saint Patrick day parade so the food menu was limited but everything smelled great! I would deffinatly come back and eat here if i was in the area again.

Best wings in South Buffalo! They are very unique and yet still true Buffalo wings. Can’t figure out their secret but I’ll continue to come back time and time again. Well worth the trip from the Northtowns!

Heard this place was good, don’t be fooled, grossest overpriced fish fry I’ve ever had. $ 14 for an undercooked soggy cheap piece of haddock. On top of that, the fish was poorly cooked, it almost looked raw. My date and I instantly felt ill after eating part of the fish. We paid $ 50, felt robed. Don’t waste your time. Oh, and the table was disgustingly sticky even after it was wiped off. Dirty.

Went the other night because a friend had read about their recent renovation & menu revamp — we were excited to try it. Unfortunately, as a whole I was unimpressed. Seems like a pretty basic, generic bar to me. Cold in there too. For having such a large selection of bottled beer, I had a hard time finding something I wanted to drink. Draft selections were even more annoying — 7 beers on tap &4 are IPAs? Ugh. The others were Smithwicks & Guiness, which I realize are basically required for an «Irish pub», and Ellicottville Blueberry(which I like & is what I ordered, but I didn’t really have a taste for it on a cold February evening.) Tried the banana pepper pierogis — deep fried with a spicy dipping sauce. They were unique but I don’t know if I need to have them again. Same for the pizza rolls — fine but nothing special. My chicken fingers were so BLAND — SO disappointing since they are hand-dipped; even the bleu cheese was bland. Fries are fine, but obviously out of the freezer. Companions liked their meals — wings, beef on weck & the burger special(which has onions, peppers, mushrooms &A1 on it.) I would have given it 2 stars, but the outstanding service bumps it up to a 3. I don’t need to go back there; I’ll stick with Conlon’s or Brick Oven.

Today was the first time I have ever been here. I was part of a group that rented the side room to host a cancer benefit meeting. The staff was very accommodating and never forgot about us. The entire time we were there they got drinks and food orders, non stop. The wings are very good, all their food looked tasty. I would defiantly come back.

Great Smitty wings! Blue Cheese and blue collar just what I enjoy. I’m told they have a «recipe» of their own for the blue cheese. Understand there is a new owner. Give it a try if you are out this way. Waitress said she was fairly new but they were adding items to the menu since she started. Wings were tasty, done to perfection.

They’re now open for lunch! Stopped in for some beer and wings on a day off with my husband. We’ve done a very extensive tour of buffalo(including all of the must haves in south buffalo) and this place for sure ranks in the top 3. I place the smitty’s wings just below hop inn and we had a real debate about if they were better or tied with bar bill. I think they were better. The bar is nice and clean, the bartender, Justin, was super friendly. Can’t wait to go back and have some more!

Doc Sullivan’s is my old neighborhood bar. Mostly everyone you meet in here, will say the same. Doc’s is recently under new management and has been totally renovated. The place is beautiful! The outside looks like an Irish pub that you would see in Ireland. I especially love that they kept the old neighborhood charm feeling. Most importantly, they kept the famous Smitty style wings. If you haven’t had Doc’s wings, you are doing a huge injustice to yourself. I have been coming to Doc’s since I was very young. My family has celebrated birthdays here, communions, benefits and even memorial services. There is a spacious banquet room in the back that accommodates large parties. The back room has even been remodeled and it’s gorgeous. I look forward to having a party back there in the future! The bathrooms are renovated, which was extremely needed! The girls will absolutely appreciate this. The new owners kept the shuffleboard, which is also very appreciated! Playing shuffleboard at Doc’s has become tradition. I’m very grateful it’s still in the new bar. The new flooring is beautiful and fits perfectly with the Irish style bar. I’m very happy to see Doc Sullivan’s with a fresh new makeover! Along with the Smitty style wings, they are coming out with an updated menu. Definitely be sure to check out this newly renovated bar. Make sure to get the wings :)

Doc Sullivan’s is a hidden gem in Buffalo. It’s a great place to go for beer and pub food with friends. It has that«local neighborhood bar» charm. They have a shuffleboard table in the corner of the bar that is so much fun. We can’t go to Doc’s without playing multiple games. Doc’s has some of the best chicken wings in Buffalo. My friend, who we call«The Wing King» puts Doc’s wings in his Top 3 in Buffalo list– high praise. The Medium hot sauce is tangy and delicious! I also love the BBQ wings. They are served perfectly crispy. Their Beef on Weck is also very good! They offer a roast beef & wing combo platter, which is very convenient because I can never decide between the two. My friends and I like to go here when we are looking for a low-key night out. Even on Fridays or Saturdays, the bar is never too crowded, which is nice. The servers and bartenders are always friendly and cheerful. Tip: They do not accept credit cards — bring cash!

It’s a nice neighborhood pub, I stop by here a few times when I’m in buffalo for the cheap beer and good wings. Two thumbs up

Amazing food. I am from Seattle originally and I can say we don’t have anything to compare to out there! The wings are fantastic. They transformed my notions of what wings should be. A fantastic experience and completely opposite from BW3’s and chain restaurants. The thing that is possibly a con is the service. Truly«new york». My friend joked he heard a man say, «what’s that thing that guy did with his face?» «I think it’s called a smile.» the bartender replied. If you want a true blue buffalo experience go here!

Also during st pattys time the corned beef sandwich is delicious! I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious reasonably priced pub food!

The wings here are the BEST, especially if you order them extra crispy. they sometimes take awhile, but well worth the wait. Besides that, just your local corner bar.

Was here the other night for a family get together in their banquet area and have to say this place has some of the best wings I have had in Buffalo. Crispy on the outside, juicy and sliding off the bone on the inside. Nice and meaty too. Also had some beef on weck at the buffet, which was good, but was not a fan of their weck roll. It had tiny granulates of salt as compared to chunky«soft pretzel» like pieces. Still tasted good, just not my cup of tea. What the weck lacked the wings made up for though. I’ll be back for sure.
