I adore this place! It’s my favorite«treat yourself» spot, especially on a Sunday morning after a long week. I love the Cheddar Toast. It is always so fresh & the accompanying sauces & zesty pickles are delish! As well, the plating they choose to serve the toast and condiments in are cute as hell.(Which really get me!) I enjoy the atmosphere and how casual it is. I’d love to sit outside in the summertime, although I know my last attempt ended in a swarm of bees.(guess you’ve gotta blame Mother Nature on that one) I need to try some more Toast varieties next visit as I am a creature of habit/the cheddar Toast is a favorite dish I’ve gotten every time. Oh! And You won’t regret a whole grain cinna roll, just splurge!

Five points specializes in freshly baked goods utilizing good from local suppliers and fresh and high quality materials. I have yet to find an item here that doesn’t taste delicious and fresh. The coffee that they brew is very tasty and has a depth of flavor. While I enjoy the breads and find it very satisfying, I don’t usually leave satiated. I do go back occasionally for their freshly baked loaves of bread. They moved locations about a year ago and the new site has a very modern and industrial feel to it.

I’ve been a fan of Five Points for years. Back when they were on Rhode Island St, I would get their whole grain cinnamon rolls all the time. Perfectly baked, moist, and the right amount of sweetness. I learned that they moved around the block to Brayton St. What an awesome building! It’s so much larger, and the menu is much more expansive. The concept is a «toast bar», with different homemade toasts, spreads, and cheeses. The breads rotate with all sorts of seasonals, as well. I really like one of the meals I had with wheat toast and a homemade egg salad. The sweet apple breads are also very delicious. Really, you can’t go wrong. This place can easily please children, too! Seating can be an issue, but not impossible. We usually end up grabbing seats along the long bar area. Get a cup of coffee to stay, and enjoy your toast. It makes for a great breakfast! Just remember to pick up some whole grain cinnamon rolls to-go on your way out!

Pros: — 10% discount for arriving on foot or by bike!(also indoor bike parking) — delicious toast, every kind I’ve tried is awesome — local business and the owners are usually around which makes it feel very welcoming — they often have the NY Times around in the morning Cons: — no Wifi. They have ethernet cables/jacks available but my computer doesn’t have an ethernet port. It seems a little antiquated as almost everywhere as WiFi and it definitely limits how often I go(this may be intentional on their part to deter people from working there) — expensive! Today I paid $ 9.37 for a(very) small coffee and the cinnamon raisin toast. I’m happy to do it on occasion to support a local business but other coffee shops offer a better deal

Pretty damn tasty here. Some of the items are a bit steep considering it is just toast in some cases. Overall great feel so far the few times been. We’ll definitely make the trek from N. Buffalo to five points a few times a month. ’ It has good ambiance with a nice long bar like seating area. Most everyone that works there seem really nice and chill. I have however heard that if you hang for too long they would like you to free up the table.

I’m addicted! Hearty, homey, nourishing — you’ll crave some of their grain goodness for home. Be sure to grab a loaf or two to go.

Every time I cross the border I have to head over to Five Points. I still remember back in the day when used to be in that run-down, hippie joint across the street; boy have they grown! The new space is rustic and inviting and the patio area is pretty neat though not for the faint at heart as it is swarming with bees. They didn’t bother me though but I can imagine it is quite a scary sight for most, hopefully they will get this resolved sooner rather than later. I love the simplicity of the stuff here and the care they put into pairing their breads with their excellent spreads, cheeses.etc. There’s a great variety of rustic breads for everyone from flax seeds to pumpkin seeds, cinnamon to rye; you are bound to find something you like. To top things off all this stuff is served in vintage chinaware and utensils that really gives off a homey vibe like no other bread places I’ve visited. As a self professed bread affectioniado, I can attest that Fix Points makes some of the best breads I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating in the West. Amazing bread, excellent spreads and great coffee all makes for a great breakfast or brunch. A must visit for locals and my Canadian friends on their cross border shopping adventures.

Purchased my first from this bread shop at the Elmwood Farmers Market. Have been a consistent from that point onward. Since the flour is not excessively handled, I had no reactions. What’s more, it is extremely delicious too!

My first experience with Five Points Bakery was wonderful! I moved into the neighborhood over the Summer and was looking to find some assorted pastries for a work Christmas party we were having. I remembered hearing around Five Points Bakery a few months back and forgot how close it was to me. I’d never been there before and decided to call after looking at the options on their website. The girl on the phone was extremely helpful with telling me the pricing and different options they have. I asked if she could put together an assorted box for $ 20 that I could pick up the next morning and after speaking to the manager they agreed. I was so excited to try what they had to offer and I wasn’t disappointed. The bakery is in a neighborhood so you would never know it was there until you see the sign on the corner of the street. I absolutely love the inside and want to go back to have breakfast soon. It was beautiful! I went up to the counter and they had my order all ready for me. 2 blueberry scones, 2 cinnamon rolls, a slice of apple cake, crumb cake and some cookies too! I was so pleased. I didn’t get a chance to try everything but I loved the blueberry scones and cinnamon rolls! Both were extremely delicious and would go back just for those! Thank you!

I was so impressed by this bakery/café. The location is kinda ghetto and sketchy. But the toast… So good. It’s like a little hipster toast café, very unique and special place. I got a more savory dish and my sister got a sweet toast dish. Everything on the menu is great. I even got some bread to take home. Plus the coffee was on point. You can’t go wrong with this place.

The Five Point Bakery is amazing! You could never imagine so much could be done with toast??? You can’t go wrong with anything you choose there. The atmosphere is inviting and fun. And they give a 10% discount to anyone who walks, rides their bike or skateboards there. If you get the opportunity, you must try this place. Totally unique in what they’re doing!

I came by with a friend and this hidden gem was tucked away, with not very clear signage– to the extent we thought we went to the wrong place. Word of advice? Trust the handwritten white sign and just park on the street. You’ll find an entry way paved with flowers and the smell of delicious baked goods. It was my first time there and I entrusted the staff to pick my choices based on my preferences. The décor inside is cozy but not very suitable for big groups. Also, everything was very clean and there was plenty of natural light which is a big plus in my book. There’s outdoor seatings and should you opt for that, just let the staff know so they’ll know where to bring your food. My only complaint is that the coffee mugs are kind of small and you’re to carry it yourself. I’m about as graceful as a bull in a china shop so that was kind of difficult for me and I felt bad for spilling every step I took. I personally would opt for the take out paper cup with lid next time. However, coffee does come with 1 free refill, and $ 0.50 after that. My favorite thing about this place is that each plate has its own flare. I’m a firm believer in the fact that you eat with your eyes first. They have a lot of little dishes and trinkets to hold your spices, jams and whatnot. Best part? Even if you get the same dishes as your friend, yours will still be unique! All in all, I would come again!

I am a long-time customer. This is the only place I buy bread. No, I’m not kidding. They have great bread(the best, in my opinion) but I want to give an objective review so they lost a star partially for the location(a moderate crime area) and partially for the prices. Yes, I get the concept of capitalism — if I don’t like the prices I don’t have to pay them… but a piece of toast with some cheese on it for 5 bucks is a little steep, especially for Buffalo. I also wish they would mix their baked goods up a little. It seems to be a rotation of the same 5 or 6 things for years now. Overall a good place I have recommended to many people over the years.

I cannot say enough good things about Five Points Bakery. I went for the first time this morning and I loved everything about it. The ambiance is amazing… so rustic and homey. Somewhat of a hippy feel but it just adds to the atmosphere. Who would have thought toast, cheese, and jams could be so delicious. I ordered the oatmeal toast with farmers cheese and plum cherry jam with an apple added on. My boyfriend ordered the granola with yogurt. We got two cups of coffee and of course had to try the cinnamon roll that everyone raves about. I wasn’t sure what to expect upon waiting for my food but I was not disappointed. The first thing I noticed was how beautifully and delicately everything was plated. Absolutely amazing. It all tasted delicious… my toast was hot and the perfect softness and the combination of the cheese and jam was out of this world. My boyfriend really enjoyed his food as well. And as for the cinnamon roll… wow. I’m going to leave it at that. All of the workers are so friendly and I love the open style kitchen. I can’t explain how this place makes you feel when you walk in, but it’s definitely something to experience. Amazing, fresh, homemade, and healthy food. I cannot wait to be back!

Who knew toast could be so good? During our random weekend trip to Buffalo, we were on the hunt for breakfast. Not just any breakfast place– but a cool hipster place. And we found Five Points. It’s a cute café– small with great outdoor seating. They even give you a discount if you walk or ride your bike! And their toast. Oh wow, they have some thick solid pieces of toast. Now, we love our bread– especially good homemade thick bread. And that’s what Five Points has! You wouldn’t think you would get full off of just toast– but we definitely did. I got the power bread with goat cheese and peach preserves while he got the oatmeal with farmhouse cheddar and some preserve to spread. The spreads came out in these little old dinnerware– it reminded me of tea time. Man, I loved the power bread– it was packed full of goodness, and it was great spreading that cheese(which, I never spread cheese on my toast– it’s sooooo good!) and preserves on it. I was so sad when it was done! The oatmeal bread was also very good too– we definitely liked the power bread the most. We also ordered coffee– it was ok, nothing special. If I lived closer to Buffalo, I would definitely get come by every week for the bread– it was just that good! Mmmm…

When my sister-in-law suggested that we try the«toast bar» I must admit I was intrigued. She talked up the flavor as well as the presentation and she was not wrong! Each dish that came out was a newly created masterpiece that Picasso, had he been a chef, would have been proud of. If you don’t believe me, look at the photos. Each plate came with it’s own special utensil and container to fit the needs of what was being served. The toast itself was beyond delicious. I love cheese and had to order the Apple Cider with triple cream brie. I was not expecting the generous portion of brie that came with the price. Five points does not skimp on quantity. Did I mention free refills on the coffee? If only Houston had a Toast Bar. That’s it… now I have to move to Buffalo.

Five Points Bakery, how are people not talking more about this place? Or are they talking and only sharing it with their immediate circle of friends, insisting that it’s a secret and if they tell anyone else, they’ll have to murder them? This morning we were driving down all too familiar city streets with a look of confusion on our faces, asking each other, «Where is this place?» Once found, my uncle parked the car on the street and we started walking towards the entrance. I noticed there was patio seating off to the right and when we entered the bakery… I swear we walked through a portal! The bakery was just lovely, especially for being located on Brayton of all places. I mean, right around the corner there are vacant properties that have broken windows, I would have never guessed such a gem existed nestled in the heart of the upper West Side. I instantly fell in love with it and I just wanted to get behind the counter and help them bake and invite all my friends to come check out the place! Speaking of the counter… The woman behind the counter taking our order was courteous but faintly aloof. She served my cup of coffee in a small cup without a saucer, I had to ask where the cream and sugar was and she didn’t tell me that it came with a refill. I found out about the refill when I got home and read through some Unilocal reviews. We ended up having a problem with our order. The server told us she would assist to rectify the situation, she left and never came back so we just ate the food we didn’t want and re-ordered the food we did want, spending more money. I tell you what, $ 15 for toast this morning left me feeling like I could have done without ever checking out this place and I would have still lived a great life. As we were eating, customers were walking in and waiting in line to order and I noticed that they weren’t just glancing over at us, they were making obvious stares at our table. It made me feel uncomfortable. I felt like I was sitting on the wrong side of the bakery or something and then I reminded myself that I had just walked through a portal and I laughed quietly to myself. The Cinnamon Apple Toast and Brie were delicious and complimented each other wonderfully. The wheat Cinnamon Bun was magnificent! I left the place full but I guess that’s okay, the toast was phenomenal, probably the best toast I’ve ever eaten and I do like that they use local, quality ingredients. That might motivate me for a second visit or maybe not. As we left, I opened my Unilocal App to complete a check-in and my uncle says to me, «I liked the place, had no idea it was here and the toast was great but I didn’t like the vibe I was getting from the lady who took our order or the customers. They all seemed really snobby to me.» He had confirmed exactly what I was thinking and I think that’s how I shall end this review. **** Giving this place four stars only because I support local businesses but it should be three.

As someone who lives on the west side of buffalo there isn’t much on the side of good, healthy, and affordable food stuffs. Five Points bakery is the best place that I can get to in five minutes. Their coffee, iced or hot, is delicious. You can also feel like a special butterfly by using any number of sweeteners and creamers that they offer. I can’t even begin to talk about their toast. I tend to frequent the classic wheat with strawberry jam but the fact that I could stray to a goat cheese is nice. I have even purchased their whole loaves to make French toast at home. Everything is delicious. Especially now that summer is coming I tend to disconnect from the world by going to Five Points and reading a book for hours on end. The music is just loud enough to provide atmosphere even if the place is packed. In short I love Five Points. If you’re looking for a full meal this is not the place for you. If you’re down to hang out, drink some coffee, and munch on some local goodness then this is the spot for you.

Awesome funkiness– and no fake hippy attitude«if you’re in a hurry, too bad» This is a tightly run ship, despite the casual tree hugger vibe. High quality breads, locally sourced ingredients, and made with attention to detail. Great coffee, too. Excellent dairy case and interesting pantry and dry and jarred goods, from honey to pickles — all local and organic. This place just rocks. And if you aren’t in a hurry, stay for a while. Great people watching. Kids even get their own little area.

Who knew toast could be this good? I’ve been hitting up Five Points since they were in their original location, but I love the new space — it’s cozy and rustic and I love watching the bread magic happen behind the counter! This is such a great place to read the paper and people-watch on a weekend morning. I’ve had a few menu items, but lately I can’t seem to get away from the apple cider toast with triple cream brie. It is so damn good. I’ve also bought a few full loaves to take home, and am never disappointed with their work.

I was a bit skeptical about a place that specialized in «toast», but I was always a big fan of bakeries, so I was up for something new. I came with my boyfriend who is a local and we actually visited Five Points’ new location in the west side. Their menu is very simple but exactly what I liked about it. Everything in the bakery is visible to the public, so you can see the large industrial ovens behind the counter where the magic happens. Overall, seating was limited on the first floor but business was just picking up at this time. There is a seating area on the second floor but at the time, it was closed. I ordered the cinnamon raisin toast which came with peanut butter, cinnamon sugar and a sliced apple. Presentation is definitely something they care about here. Two thick slices of toasted cinnamon raisin bread were cut in half and placed on a plate next to a small container of peanut butter, a tiny cup for my cinnamon sugar to be sprinkled and a spiral cored apple. I had a cup of coffee(free refills!) on the side and the experience was everything. I would love to come back on a weekday in the morning and sit in the corner and read a book. This is a great first date location and I would recommend bringing anyone new to Buffalo as it is definitely a great treat and something different!

After spending a random Friday off for the kids at the Buffalo Museum of Science, where we did battle with crowds of enthusiastic Curious George fans for the chance to interact with exhibits, we were all fairly exhausted and hungry. I told the kids I would find a treat, and the Unilocal ap directed me here. Now, seeing«bakery» I was expecting glass front cases and cupcakes, etc. Having only skimmed the reviews before setting off, I just thought maybe everyone around here really likes toast… it did not occur to me that the actual emphasis of the establishment was in fact, toast. The confusion must have been all over my face, because the woman behind the counter kindly guided me through their toast selections(a hearty mix of healthy, savory, sweet, etc.) as well as the more typical sweets available, as she knew the tiny people who accompanied me were more about the chocolate chips than the brie and bread. My kids also pulled a fast one on me and picked two 12 oz juices from the case(for $ 2.75 a piece) and as my kids are more of the Capri Sun than the cold pressed fresh juice variety, quickly exclaimed they did not like it. Oh, kids. So cute. I ordered the sourdough ciabatta bread with nutella, as well as an iced coffee. The portion of buttered toast was generous and delicious, and the iced coffee was also amazing(with special ice cubes that I take from another review were covered in a special rub? Whatever it was– fantastic.) My kids devoured a cowboy cookie, a brownie and a chocolate chip cookie respectively(I have three kids– not one, overly enthusiastic sweet lover) before they disappeared under the stairs to play with a decent selection of toys. My son fell in love with a transformer that I think was clearly from the 80s, and we are lucky he was able to put it down for a nap and leave it there. While they played, I was able to savor each bite(rather than fight off little fingers desperate to steal my Nutella) and sip my coffee. Sitting there, you really appreciate the beautiful atmosphere of the place– so much exposed wood and subtle touches like the fancy utensils and old-school sugar container(which I ruthlessly hoarded without shame.) I loved this place so much, I tried to figure out how to go back today. Being out in the burbs, this proved difficult, but I have a plan for when some out of town guests come next weekend. Until then, I too shall dream of toast and local ingredient and grains…

Five Points recently relocated across the street and their new location is beautiful on Brayton St. Full of character including exposed breams, brick, and a funky bar seating area. We spent a good amount of time just looking around at all the different details that were put into the new space. The entrance to the new space is a little tricky to figure out mid-winter, but I think once it warms up it’ll be a little easier to find. We ordered the Cinnamon Raisin Toast and the Cinnamon Swirl bread! I also got a hard boiled egg on the side of my toast. The portion sizes are always great and the presentation is impeccable… they use a bunch of vintage mix and match pieces as serve-ware and it really makes the presentation interesting each time. Can’t wait to come back!

New digs are sweet. So much work has gone into this. Well worth the effort. Reminds me of Elm Street Bakery, which makes sense as someone told me the Five Points owners really helped the Elm Street ones when they started out. There are similarities. The bread is still different but the vibe is now very much the same. Parking is street and I’ve not had an issue so far. Same neighborhood as the old location, really just a move across the street, but a whole new feel. And lots more space. Tables. Bar seating. You can make choices. Bread remains very tasty. I’ll have to spend more time here to raise stars on the rest. But picking up bread is always a nice idea here.

Five Points has an unbelievable newly renovated space. My jaw was on the floor for the first five minutes of being in the new building. I love the counter and additional tables. Somehow they managed to move into a larger and very different space but keep the charming and earthy feel that was the core of the older location. This business is such an attribute to the neighborhood. The bread and baked goods seem just as great as before and the coffee is bottomless. If you hadn’t gone to Five Points before the move, you have even more reason to go now. Just don’t all go at once because I like to be able to sit and enjoy mornings here! :)
