We spent a Sunday afternoon here to end the summer. I was pleasantly surprised. This is NOT a beach. It’s a park setting surrounding a waterfront. There is an area that has water access where you could«lay-out» but it’s very rocky so wear water shoes/soles. The bathrooms were clean and the parking lot was easy to navigate. There are picnic benches lining the waterfront and lots of space to spread out your towels/chairs and enjoy the view of the marina. Right now it’s only open to self powered(kayak/canoe) and jet skis and I think that made it more enjoyable. We docked our jet ski and enjoyed our beverages out of plastic cups. The Park Police were on patrol and ensure there was no shenanigans taking place. People around us brought a charcoal grill and made burgers and dogs. All-in-all a great afternoon and I look forward to coming down here to walk my dog and ride my bike more often. The area is scheduled for a huge renovation this fall/winter so I will be certain to update my review next year when it’s finally completed.
