I love everything about Lloyds. I love their housemade taco shells. I love their tacos, especially the veg and fish ones. The blueberry hand grenades are miraculous. I really like the atmosphere, and the bar. The seating area is small, and I wish they had more tables, but I’ve never not been able to sit down. Can’t wait to see Lloyd’s on Elmwood! Next stop, a restaurant in the burbs!

Wow this place is popular! At multiple points during the night I saw a line out the door. I will give the place 5 stars because the service was quick, the food came up as ordered, and there was a fully stocked bar with bartenders who know what they are doing. The only negative was I ordered a chicken burrito and the meat portions are not much, I could have just ordered a beans and rice burrito. Great location next to other lively bars. I was visiting Buffalo and the neighborhood seemed safe and that of encouraging a good time. I am a west coaster and try to compost and was surprised this restaurant doesn’t but that seems to be industry standard in Buffalo.

Coke. In a glass bottle. I never order soda, but I just can’t pass up on coke in a glass bottle. It tastes so much better for some reason. They do have many other drink options, including a full bar. But my eyes stopped at the Coke. For lunch, I ordered the Skinny Thai: fried organic tofu, peanut sauce, asian style pickles, scallions, cilantro, radishes. The asian style pickles were so tasty! I’m drooling thinking about this dish. The peanut sauce was really good as well. Service was fast, and the outdoor seating was great. I love the décor in this place!

Not exactly like the truck. And that’s a good thing. Good. Lots of selection like Mexican style Corn on the cob, a Thai coconut style quesadilla. It’s hard to get bored here with a good portion of the menu ever changing. The rest is still your classic, well prepared(more California-like) truck staple food. You can’t go wrong either way. There is also a bad and the order-at-counter restaurant opens up to the outside seating. Cool layout. I definitely recommend.

Came here on a Wednesday night for an after work drink with my friend. Was super surprised to find out that the Taco Factory had a large bar inside with liquor! We walked in and immediately the bartender was welcoming and invited us over to the bar explaining to us that we could order food and drinks from him. The vibe was awesome. for 10:15 at night there was a good crowd, and the doors were open to the outside. The dimly lit atmosphere with the glowing bar was super cozy feeling. Although I never got the bartender’s name– he was bald– he was hands down the best bartender I have ever sat behind a bar for. He kept checking on us and made us feel comfortable with a sense of humor. Such a gentleman! We asked him if he could make us lemon drop shots, and although he told us the bar didn’t have lemon vodka, he would try his best. They were THEBEST lemon drop shots I have ever had. Aside from ordering my regular two pork tacos, we ordered another lemon drop shot and headed out. If I lived near Hertel, I could see myself coming to Lloyd’s bar for drinks and tacos at least twice a week.

So good! Classic tacos. Def get the pickled onions — totally makes the tacos! I love both the standard tacos and the specialties! And… lil hint, if there’s a huge line, just order food at the bar and have a beer. :-) I’ve heard it’s over-rated, etc, but nah — they know how to make a good taco. I lurved it.

Good tacos and some with an interesting twist… with the Thai and the dirty south. However iv had tacos with a twist in other places that were better. This may seem dumb but I was surprised that each taco came with only one corn tortilla … The fillings were good and plentiful to the point of overstuffed with just one tortilla.(–1). Then we got an order of the tricked out nachos and added chicken to them… Extremely unflavored, barely any chicken and their queso was possibly the worst queso iv ever tasted.(–1) I had heard about lloyds forever and finally having checked it out I’m not shocked it doesn’t really live up to the hype. I know they have a food truck I feel like i might have given it a 3.5 in that scenario only because the place was crazy crowded and the long wait for the food ended up being not really worth it… Especially when one of my favorite places is just down the road(review to come ;)). Verdict= hipster tacos.

The joint was jumping tonight! Met some friends at 6:30 and the bar was nutty busy; seating was no problem. The clientele don’t seem to be fazed by the $ 10 cocktails. Personally, I can’t imagine ever needing an adult beverage so badly I’d pay $ 10 for one. My beef bowl was beyond fabulous. Girl talk, happy tummies.

I love the Tacos here. Definitely different than what I’ve had in Texas(torchy tacos love) Ilthe tacos are pretty small so you gotta get at least two to fill your tummy. I got the newer selection type taco which was about $ 3.14 per taco. If you get the normal taco, it’s jus $ 2.80? Anyway I got two tacos, The Dirty South(kale –yuck, fried chicken etc etc: p) and Crispy Fish(fried fish yum). They are pretty good! If I can add, id add a little more sauce. sadly they don’t offer any condiments so I didn’t ask for it. The tacos are good. Then there’s nacho with queso, which is about $ 6.99 each. It is huge portion of appetizer! We can’t even finish it. I was surprised that the queso comes with meat. It has queso, jalapeño and ginger pickle? I actually like it, though the sauce wasn’t as heavy as i’d liked.

Came in for a quick bite since I know the food is good. At 2pm on a brisk Friday afternoon, this place was busy. Mainly because the general«lunch crowd» was gone but there was a decent crowd of otherwise college age kids and older people. I definitely think the roast pork is the best meat they have on the menu. I like the beef second. I’ve had tacos here before, so I decided to go with something different. I wasn’t disappointed. The food was quick to be made, I maybe waited 3 minutes. They made my food properly, with extra cheese of course. The pickled red onions are so wonderful! I wish I had the recipe. Will be bring the BF here next week since he’s never had Lloyds.

Everything you love about the truck, all wrapped up in a cozy little establishment on Hertel Avenue. I came here on a weekday toward the end of the lunch hour, and it was pretty busy! It’s a pretty small space, so I can’t imagine how busy the place could get over the weekend, but with Lloyd the lines can typically get pretty long. Things moved pretty quickly here though, and by the time we got to the front of the line and ordered our food, most of the crowd had cleared out and there were empty seats everywhere. The menu offers your typical Lloyd classics, plus a few extras. I love ordering their fish tacos whenever they’re available at the trucks, so seeing that on the menu here made me gravitate toward it almost immediately. I ordered a taco and their macaroni and cheese, which is historically pretty good too. Both were absolutely delicious, of course. I like that they have a bar here, and I feel like it draws people in even more. I’m not a big fan of alcohol, but I did try the Snozzberry Mule and I thought it was delicious. It felt nice being able to actually sit down somewhere and enjoy food from one of my favorite trucks around here. Don’t get me wrong, I love hunting down food trucks. But even if you find yourself asking the question, «Where’s Lloyd?», you don’t have to hunt them down through social media. You can always find them on Hertel.

For the love of tacos — GOHERE. If you’re a buffaloarian, you know all about lloyd. What started out as a food truck ended up in what… 5+ food trucks AND resulted in a restaurant. Lloyd is the bees knees. I have stood in winter storms to get my hands on a big lloyd taco. Like legit was a snowman while waiting in the 30+ min line in a blizzard to get one of these tacos. The restaurant itself exceeded my expectations. I’ve been there for lunch and during the dinner rush. Dinner rush can get chaotic because everyone is mulling over the food as much as I am. It’s like animals in heat for tacos, its great! I guarantee you that any taco you order(Big lloyd and the carne asada are my favorites!!!) your tastebuds will thank you.

This was my first time at Lloyd’s, I love that they had a couple vegetarian options! I tried the Skinny Thai taco which was delicious, it had tofu and a really good peanut sauce. I also had a Sweet Potato taco which was one of their specials, also great, and it had avocado in it. The tacos are small enough that you can, and should, try several!

Lloyd Taco Truck opening a sit down restaurant and bar is basically Buffalo’s dream come true. The food is obviously delicious and it’s a really fun place to hang out! The menu includes lots of Buffalo’s food truck favorites, as well as some new tasty additions: burritos, quesadillas, tacos, nachos, salads, side dishes and desserts. The restaurant also added a bacon wrapped hot dog, Mexican Spring Rolls and El Santo Steak Skewers to their menu. They make their own tortillas right at the factory and they are phenomenal! Everything is wonderful, but I have a few favorite menu items: 1. Lloyd original burrito with choice of protein(roasted pork, grilled chicken, braised beef or black beans): Homemade tortilla filled with pork, rice & beans, cheddar cheese, shredded cabbage, chimi sauce & roja sauce 2. Lloyd taco with choice of protein(roasted pork is my favorite): 5 Inch soft corn tortilla, jack cheddar cheese, shredded cabbage, chimi sauce, roja sauce, cilantro and a lime wedge 3. Dirty South Taco: Buttermilk fried chicken, bacon aioli, baby kale, NY state maple syrup, topped with fried waffle crisps 4. Skinny Thai Taco: Crispy fried organic tofu, Lloyd-made Thai peanut sauce, pickled veggies, radish, scallions, cilantro, & lime 5. Tricked Out Nachos: White Corn Chips topped with Lloyd queso, roja sauce, sour cream, jalapeños, and pickled red onions(choice of chicken, beef, pork or beans) 6. Goat Cheesecake: The best thing ever. If you like goat cheese, you need this! They take your order and payment at the counter. You can get your food to go or take it over to one of the tables. I’ve never seen a short line, but it moves very quickly! To make things even better, there is a full bar in the restaurant. Their menu of Lloyd original cocktails is very creative! I really love the Snozzberry Mule(Vodka, Blueberry, Lemon & Ginger Beer). The Kiwi Crush and Last of the Mojitos are also very good. I have been to Lloyd on weekdays and weekends. I am happy to see that it is always busy. The restaurant plays fun 90s music and projects movies on the walls. The employees are super easygoing and friendly. If you haven’t been yet, get on that!

It was crowded in the restaurant. A lot like waiting for the food truck at Larkin Square, but this time with the added annoyance that I wouldn’t find any seating when I got my burrito. I ended up waiting in a long line to order, and then another shorter, but equaling as time consuming line to pick up my food, and it was… WORTHEVERYSECOND Being such a long wait in line, I keep adding to my order in my head. I bought a few tacos, a burrito and a quesadilla, all to split with my wife. I also realized I needed more food to bring back home, so I got back in line and did it again. Cost quite a bit more money for tacos than I’m accustomed to, and it was… WORTHEVERYPENNY Once seated, I embarrassed myself by destroying my share of the meal with extreme prejudice(my prejudice being that I assumed it was going to be delicious, and I was right) without coming up for a single breath of air. Moreover, I threw down the dainty Snozzberry Mule, in a not so dainty fashion as well. It’s very fair to say that the snozzberries did, in fact, taste like snozzberries. The thought came to my mind that even after considering the wait in line and the price of it all, I couldn’t help but to recommend to someone that if they haven’t been to Lloyd’s Taco Factory yet, then it’s… WORTHYOURVIRGINITY I tried some of Lloyd’s newcomers: the Big Lloyd and the Skinny Thai tacos, and the«El Hombre» Quesadilla. The Big Lloyd — which had remarkably similar ingredients to the WackDonald’s flagship Big Mac sandwich — had pickles, ground beef and a special sauce. The Skinny Thai had fried tofu and a peanut sauce. Both were decent. The«El Hombre» was incredible, with chorizo, potatoes and queso, but the king for me at Lloyd’s is still an oldie-but-a-goodie: the braised beef burrito with rice, beans and Rocketsauce.

I’ve been to Lloyd twice now, and I’m definitely satisfied. I love it as an option for a Mexican that’s different than your typical im-so-full-I-have-to-roll-myself-home meal.(Well, unless you get a burrito… then you’ll be full for days!) But still, I like the smaller plates/individual tacos. It’s pretty packed, being a hot, new restaurant with so much buzz… but it’s really not as terrible as it seems when you first walk in. If you go during the busiest dinner times(about 6−7pm?) the line is long for food and the bar is full, but it seems to slow down pretty quickly after that. I went at 6:30 and we wanted to sit at the bar so we got a drink and waited around. It only took about 30⁄40 minutes to get a seat, not too bad really! If you wait in line for food I’m sure it’s much quicker… the food comes out fast. The bar is a nice option because you don’t have to wait in line, you can order your food right there. I was pleasantly surprised with the drink list. They had fun, fresh cocktails. I loved the snozzberry mule. Some of the other drinks I tried were a little smoky, deep flavored. Not what I’m used to but I always like to try new drinks. They were definitely going with the Mexican feel in these drinks and I appreciate that. Oh yeah and the Kiwi Krush was really delicious! The only complaint at the bar is that both times I was there I was with men who prefer straight up liquor. Vodka, bourbon or whiskey, they don’t have your usual old-school selections, mostly just the Mexican style. But the bartenders were good about recommending a replacement. The tacos are great of course. Much easier to enjoy than while standing in the cold outside a truck :-P My favorite is the crispy fish. The cabbage, Chimi, chipotle mayo, radish make it unique, I love the flavors. The first time I was here I got a burrito… it’s huge! I got the Big Lloyd, which is their version of a Big Mac(they make a special sauce) and it is DELICIOUS. I confess, it was so good I did eat the whole thing! The nachos are a good idea for an appetizer to share. My biggest issue is all the waste! Even when you are eating in the restaurant or at the bar, they give you everything in paper! I cringe when I think about how much garbage they must have every day. Also, I just really prefer eating on real plates. The nachos are in a paper box with wax paper inside. The tacos are in little paper trays. The silverware is plastic. ugh :(They do have a bottle recycle, which is good but I’ve seen multiple people not even notice it. If you are standing at the garbage, your back is to the recycle. Maybe a little sign next to the garbage that says«Bottle recycle behind you» or something would be nice. Overall, it’s a fun, unique place. Good food and drinks, lots of people, how could you go wrong? I’ll be back!

Lloyd’s Taco Factory was overall a pleasant surprise. I was a little concerned about the taste of a burrito with cabbage in it instead of lettuce. But I’m a believer now. It was crisp and delicious. I had the Lloyd Burrito because, hey, go big or go home. Pickles in a burrito with cabbage was intriguing and delicious. Also I was truly impressed at the lengths they went to in providing organic/gmo free food. The food will definitely bring me back. The food overall was top notch for a cafeteria style food place. I have two suggestions that would make me change my review from a 4 star to a 5 star review. First they have obviously grown out of their venue very quickly. Seating is very tough to find. Secondly they have only water as a sugar free drink. Having some kind of tea, hot or cold would be welcome especially with the large population of diabetics in this area.

I’m thrilled they opened on Hertel. Happy there is a great bar here too. Walking in you can choose — get in line to order food, or head to the bar. Id recommend heading to the bar. Its great. Beautiful. Very fun cocktail list. All can be made as mocktails as well. Nice place to sit. Huge selection of mezcals. But, if you go order food you wait on line to order, then wait for them to call your name to pick up said order, I’d say perhaps 10 min wait, so not too bad. The menu includes their«famous» tacos and the tricked out nachos, some quesadillas, burritos and more. You order and go find a seat. They have both small tables and a long table in the middle where various groups can sit. I don’t mind the configuration. But the comfort in seating is lacking. I am not sure why new restaurants have such uncomfortable seating these days. I give this place 5 stars for the bar. But I just don’t «get» the food here, and even after visiting a few times I still don’t get it. I enjoy the tricked out nachos the most and that’s what Ill stick to ordering from now on I think. The quesadillas were VERY heavy on cheese and low on flavor. The tacos just don’t appeal to me. The burrito a companion had was deemed«fine». I love that this is locally owned but got national recognition. I love that they really think about where their products come from. I love that they are making their own shells using a process that’s been in place for centuries I imagine. For the food and uncomfortable seating, I can only give 3 stars. But Ill always come if someone wants to, support local. Ill come back for the bar. Suggest you do too. I wish they did half stars, Id give it a 3.5.

I have nothing bad to say about this place. There is something for everyone and THEFOODISSOGOOD! There are chicken, beef, pork, and black bean options. They also have nachos and burritos as well. The mojitos are awesome(a little on the sweet side). We came here twice in about 12 hours(no shame) because the food was so satisfying. the only menu item I wouldn’t recommend is the tofu spring rolls. I would highly recommend the nachos.

I have to put it out there i am not a fan of Lloyds at all. Actually every time i get it i am always disappointed. This time was different! Me, Jason P. and Jessica M. all came in on a busy Saturday night. We decided to just scope it out and get a drink first then decide if we wanted to eat there. There is no margarita advertised on their cocktail menu but i ordered one anyways, it was amazing, ask to have it made with cilantro… freaking fantastic! Jessica M. got a snozberry mule, she liked her drink as well. The drinks are 10 bucks a pop, kinda pricey for the type of place it is. i would be much happier if they were maybe 6 – 8 bucks. I just don’t think Lloyds has the right to sell drinks for 10 bucks, this isn’t a craft cocktail/fancy place it’s like a walk up, order and sit anywhere you want kind of place. Weird, anyways… I ordered the Quesadilla on the menu, it had potatoes and this awesome sauce on it, delish, large and filling! I also got an order of the Goat Cheesecake, caught my eye even though it was like 4.50 I decided to splurge and it was well worth it. Only complaint i have with this is the size of this cheesecake for practically 5 bucks, VERY small. Would I come back? possibly for lunch one of these days once its a little less busy. If i was in the area i might stop in for a marg because it was one of the best margs i’ve had in a long time i will admit. I might not order the cheesecake again unless i come in for only that and a drink because lets face it that 15 bucks right there.
