Not the best bar in town. The drinks are okay — they’re the usual well drinks with some beer on tap. Mulligan’s is a good dive bar but it’s the crowd that’s a little downer. On 3 separate occasions, my friends and I have had a run in with loud mouthed, disrespectful drunkards who don’t know any more than calling out girls who reject their drunken advances. During each of those times, we almost had a physical before the bouncers intervened. Honestly, I’d have expected that MUCH sooner, especially when they’re seeing it standing 5 feet from us. Keeping this aside — it is a good time being here. The bartenders are extremely efficient and are pretty nice. It’s not a bad place to start the night off when the crowd isn’t there. It’s only later on in the night when it starts getting really crowded with drunk, slobbering folks everywhere.

Even at 1 am on a Friday night, I didn’t find myself waiting too long to get the bartenders attention for a couple of beers. $ 3.50 for most of their bottles, they have a Karaōke machine which is really loud in a good way and other than that, there’s really not much more to this place. The demographic is all over the place here, you have young and old, people in jeans and a t-shirt and others in 3 inch heels and dresses that barely cover their behinds. The patio out front is so small so it is always filled with people smoking, hanging over one another, breathing on each other, makes an uncomfortable standing area when you are waiting to show your ID at the door. They weren’t charging a cover at the door which was appreciated. I like a place where I can sit and chat with friends and there weren’t any bar stools available and no other places to relax. Not my type of place but an okay stop for a quick beer or two.

Just your average bar, nothing special, just a chilled place to grab a few. It clean for the most part, but the uneven floors is a bit annoying… still a good time tho.

My 60+ year old father used to party here in his 20s and I did in my 20s as well. I guess it’s a drunkard tradition. Now that I’m getting older, I’m kind of over the craziness of Allen but I’ll always love Brick bar. It’s home-base. If you lose someone while drinking(or socializing, whatever you wanna call it), just go back to Brick bar and they’ll be there. The best hours to go are sometime after midnight. The bathroom is vile though, so just prepare yourself for that.

This is your mid-range bar. Everything is pretty much average. There’s really nothing too exemplary about the place. The drinks are made okay and they’re priced fairly. The place has more walking room than other places, but it definitely attracts a crowd. There’s a certain type of person who goes to Brick but you’ll always find that pretty much anyone would go here. Jukebox, pool table, smoking patio, the usual amenities are here. I wouldn’t go here at the end of the night because the talent tends to leave early. But it’s not a bar to ignore if you’re looking for a bustling bar.

How can the brick be anything other than 5 stars? It’s exactly what you expect it to be. A hole in the wall dive bar with cheap drinks and awesome people. It’s the local buffalo experience and just about everybody fits in. Saturday nights are the best. P. s. beware that there are homeless all over Allen at night. They’re harmless for the most part but yes… You will be asked for a dollar.

Brickbar is a love of hate place in my opinion… From the crowd to the music to the bathroom. With that being said. Its a classic dive bar in the Allen strip. Jukebox music… You will wait forever to hear you song. Lol Great mix of people… My issue(s) is that Damn gross bathroom. And I’m a guy… I’d rather go outside behind a tree. Lol Another thing is the inconsistencies of drink prices. Seems they just make up prices as the night goes on. But the best part of Brickbar is past 11pm I will grab a Lloyds taco walk to my car parked on Delaware and say. «It was an Awesome Night»

Usual a staple when I go to Allen St. Typically crowded and stuffed, but it’s probably the most roomy bar on Allen. It’s a typical bar, nothing special… juke box, pool tables, dart board. Nothing wrong with a typical bar, sometimes it’s all you want. My only two complaints are there isn’t much beer on tap and with the evolution of microbrews would be nice to see… but they have a lot of good stuff in bottles so it makes up for it. My other complaint is the prison toilet, I don’t expect people to «use» a toilet at a bar, but with no door and an all metal toilet I don’t know who would. I’ll continue going back when I’m Allen however since at the end of the day it’s a solid place to have some drinks

A few friends and I had the itch to play some pool(billiards) so we decided to go to go this bar about an hour in it was getting crowded so the bouncer quite rudely told us that it was going to be the last game, I was fine with this and understood, but the attitude of the bouncer was offsetting. With the 6’5″ 350lb bouncer giving us the death stare throughout the game my partner and two gentleman strangers’ skills at the game started diminishing. 5 min later the bouncer declared, «thats f******* enough, stunned we stepped aside, with the aid of another bouncer slid the table against the wall with so much force it most definitely registered on the richter scale. He then glances over at the group of us muttered, f******* ridiculous. I realize we started sucking and you needed the space, ask like a professional and none of us would of had a problem with it. So I asked him is the language really necessary? He says if you don’t f****** like it you can leave… I reply, «Let me grab my coat.» before I know it his 100lb arm is around my throat dragging me out. My friend yells at him saying that I’m not resisting to leave the bar, the other bouncer jumps on him, next thing i know I’m on the sidewalk, and my friend is being pinned against a random car out front. Yelling that he is not resisting, about 20 random people on the street are telling the bouncers to stop. They keep pinning his head against the car. Having about enough after about 30seconds of cold hard windshield in his face my friend thrusts his way out and pushes the bouncer back. Both bouncers jump on him and claim he is going to jail. A cop comes over, doesn’t question the bouncers at all, puts him in the back of the patrol car charges him with assault for trying to thrust his way out of a unjust choke hold. He spends the night in jail. It sounds so unjust, you might say it is unbelievable. However, it is quite true and probably not worth the risk of finding out for yourself since there are many better bars in Buffalo.

In terms of bars, Brick bar is nothing truly amazing. They have a jukebox, pool table and darts. It’s usually very crowded and hard to get to the bar area due to the amount of people. However with the right people, any bar is fun so i do tend to go here once in awhile. i give this bar 2 stars only because it is nothing special.

Ah, Allen Street. The place where you never know if your talking to someone who has been traveling the world to live their life to the fullest or if they are just totally insane and are only describing how they liked being there in their mind. Out of all the bar’s on the west section of Allen, this is probably the most normal one. They have a spacious interior with a pool table and on a non-busy night, plenty of room to walk around including a small porch area. On a busy night, watch out as you will be wall to wall with people around you. This isn’t always a bad thing though. They have a good selection of drinks and the bar service is super friendly. It is kind of dark in here but hey that is pretty normal for most Buffalo bars. I’m giving it three stars because it is what it ultimately is, an alright bar on Allen Street. Some people love this place but I honestly don’t get the appeal. Growing up in Buffalo, I thought it was edgy and hip to be on Allen when I was younger but I guess I’ve just experienced better. It is a cool place to meet up with friends though and I suggest if you are going to try Allen, that you try this one. Just don’t make any eye contact with people coming out of the liquor store nearby, you’ll want to make sure that you stay safe when you are down here. There can be some strange characters.

I find myself in Brick Bar every time I’m in this neighborhood for the evening. It’s a little dank, but so id everything on this block. Not great, not bad. I would never make the drive just to go there, but have never put up a fuss when we head there anyways.

Friendly people working there and going there. Katie is quick with drinks and smiles, and Pauly pours the drinks deep. Love meeting great people here. It gets pretty packed on the weekends but it’s not back to back people, it’s still comfortable in there. Prices are ok, no complaints here :)

Not my first time here but the first in a long while. Stunned that Mulligan’s would not have Killian’s for sale. Settled for a Heinekens for old times sake and remembered why I don’t order it anymore. Plah! The Brick Bar was only one third full when we walked in last night. The Elephant head above the bar looking down at us as the jukebox blasted top 40, which can be overridden if you put money in it to select something different. After a nice man came by and put a paper top hat on my head and introduced himself my friend and I ducked out to see what else we could find in the way of a party place. Right outside was a hot dog vendor with dogs for $ 3. Bought one with our local Weber’s mustard and munched a half cooked dog on the way to a place across the street.
