Disappointed. Food was cold, selection limited. Moon was great… these owners should visit Zhang’s and see the difference.

DON’T GO!!! Should BOYCOTT this untrustworthy and black-hearted Chinese buffet. Food is really not fresh. Went twice, the first time, they stole my credit info and made fraudulent unauthorized charges. The second time I went, which was literally yesterday, turned out I got diarrhea today. Wow. This place was mediocre before, but they have somehow managed to go downhill from there. I could not seem to find one thing on the buffet that was remotely edible… even by buffet standards. I figured I would be safe with the crab legs. Nope. Fishy– I know that these come frozen, are thawed and reheated, but again, even disgusting by buffet standards. I nixed the crab and tried the tiny clams. Fishy. What the bloody hell?!? We thought we were in luck when we pulled in just as a bus was leaving. Perhaps they saved all the crap food for us. :-/ The waiter was simply inattentive. He only had a couple of tables, and we didn’t see him at all. My husband had to wave him down the one time we spotted him to get the correct drink order. We won’t be returning.

When on the go New Fuji serves the purpose of grabbing two decent lunch buffet dishes and back out the door. If you’re like me then you take advantage of the free wifi. The food isn’t the best but not that bad. I do enjoy eating here because some Chinese restaurants can be very loud however it’s not the case here. It’s a great place for family accommodations.

Wow. Dirty dishes and silverware, some with large pieces of obvious debris on them. Bland, old buffet food. Crab legs were soft, food was ultra greasy, there were frogs legs labeled as chicken, rubbery octopus… Donuts in the same bin as garlic bread. Weird. Waitress was rude, as though taking our drink orders was the single most odious task of her day. I gave two stars for the dessert offerings, which were plentiful and less offensive. Prices went up as well… I spent $ 40 for two adults and one child on a truly regrettable meal.

Stopped here for a quick meal on a group bus tour to Niagara Falls and I have one word: DISAPPOINTING! The selection was pitiful, the food was tasteless, the sushi looked old and the cherry on the cake? No crab legs! :(The bathroom was also disgusting and the owner was unfriendly especially when answering questions about the menu. I’ve been to a lot of Chinese Food buffets and this is definitely bottom of the list . $ 13.99(all you can eat) and $ 5.99 per pound(takeout)… I’m still hungry.

Came back again on a Saturday for a lunch buffet. Very disappointed this time. Even though they kept the same price($ 7.99) for weekends, the food choices were definitely not as good. Last time my favourite were beef ribs and steam fish, they were replaced by tomato fried eggs and white fish. Even though they had a sushi section, hardly anyone went for it.

Originally known as Moon Buffet, it renovated and changed names, and is now cleaner, but the food is the same. You are only allowed in this buffet if you«moon» people passing by on Sheridan during your meal. I’m serious. I always do it. What do you mean, how have I not been arrested? I have. Twice. Personal Experience: I used to come here on Xmas with the Buffalo family I lived with. They loved it and it’s a good memory for me. The buffet isn’t amazing but it isn’t bad either so I’ll be generous and give it a 5. I was last here about 2 years ago. So if you remove an «o» and spin it around, Moon Buffet becomes Nom Buffet, which is more a-pro-pay because you can indulge in some serious noms here. The price is good and it’s all you can eat. It’s open on Xmas so what more do you want? For me personally, I find the food to be sickly sweet and not my thing at all. But if you want to do a «Christmas Story»(don’t like that movie, sorry), like I used to do in my first few years of American life, then come on over here and give it a try on a holiday when everything else is closed. It gets an extra star because I think the prices actually went down in the last few years… it’s well under $ 10 for the buffet and I appreciate that. It’s pretty standard Chinese-American fare with standard pricing and plus you get to see a lot of bare arses.

I prefer to start of with a positive opinion, so I will begin by stating the food was hot and plentiful. There was no wait time which was also a plus. Unfortunately, I found that it was not a very clean place. The rugs were filthy and the windows kept the sun out of my eyes as they were filled with dirt. They had paper plates which I found odd as I was not in a pizzeria or hot dog shop. I also thought the price was high for the service I received. I don’t recall ever being asked if I wanted more water. The food was below average in this area. I won’t be eating at this place ever again.

i have been coming to this restaurant ever since i started college at ub. they offer something like 10% off for college kids which was one thing that’s really attractive to me when i was a broke student. I agree the food there is no top notch, but they are not bad either. for 8 bucks/person, you can have fruits, soup and many varieties of dishes, this is something you can’t get at a takeout place. some times they offer crab legs too, they are not as great as you would get at red lobster, but for such a low price, what do you want?(I have bought basketball shoes at both walmart and foot locker, and they feel very very different, same theory applies here) After all, I think people here expect too much from this place, its superior for its price; you can walk in for a cheap, fast dinner any time, but if you can afford a $ 30/person buffet, i’d probably say go there.

I hadn’t been here in years, since it was called Moon Buffet. They’ve subdivided up the seating & added a sushi section since then, but the food was all still great. Before going, I read some pretty negative reviews & wasn’t sure if I should try it. I’m glad I did because they still have one of the best hot & sour soups I’ve had! Everything was fresh, refilled frequently & tasted pretty good. Also, I did not get sick. My only problem was that it was a night with crab legs, so we were all charged premium buffet rate. Unfortunately crab legs are something that need to be eaten instantly & can’t sit in a steam table. This isn’t to say I didn’t try them, it’s just tough to get the meat out when it’s not still steamy. Meat tasted fine, just wasn’t hot. Other Chinese buffets I’ve been to have had a crab leg option as an add on. Then for those people, they can get clusters delivered to them straight from the kitchen. This way the people that want them get them fresh & the people that don’t, aren’t stuck paying for them. Other than that, I definitely recommend this place when considering Chinese buffets :)

This place is awful, very small selection, and it’s nothing but masses of seafood or meat, nothing vegetarian or even a vegetable! Don’t bother. No choice at all, most things weren’t even full just empty spaces where food was not refreshed. I got money back.

I know 4 stars is high, but for an all-you-can-eat for $ 8 restaurant, I thought New Fuji Buffet did it’s job! Brad and I both had rough days on Monday, and after seeing a restaurant we wanted to go to was closed(see China Max’s review) we settled on New Fuji Buffet. We walked in knowing it wasn’t a 5 star luxury restaurant. We knew there would be a lot of cheap, processed foods. We just wanted to eat our feelings and talk. The things I thought were pretty good were… the sweet and sour chicken, the french fries, the crispy chicken wings, the rice and noodle dishes. The eh, okay things… the sushi, the general’s chicken, the eggrolls. The bad things… the crab rangoons, the soup was never filled up when we were there, and the ice cream was pretty bad. Like I said, this place did it’s job. But I probably won’t come back anytime soon.

Sooooo… everyone loves getting a little something extra with their meal. At my recent(and last) trip to New Fuji Buffet, I got my extra. In the form of a small bug in my rice. I pointed it out to my waitress, who shrugged and said«you want me to take it away?» The manager was informed, but no action was taken. I didn’t get to eat and no $ was refunded, although I had not yet eaten. This restaurant has always been a bit sketchy to me but we have gone a few times because my family likes it. Added«extra protein» to meals, hit or miss flavors and a lack of overall cleanness make me say it’s not worth anyone’s time or money.

The worst Chinese Buffett I’ve ever eaten. I wouldn’t touch this place again with a 50 foot pole. The food is awful, I thought I could trust the salad thinking how can they mess that up? The lettuce was wilted and all the ingredients were soggy. The Chinese food was cold and didn’t even taste like good Chinese food. Never coming here again. Ever.

A NEGATIVESTARRATINGISTOOGOOD for this horrific place and the crap food they dare to serve there… I kick myself in the ass for stepping foot in this disgusting pit. We were starving and craving something Asian, leaning toward Chinese. In this area there are little to no good sit down Chinese restaurants. We were nearby this place and decided«lets go for it!» Walking in the door, the buffet looked decent. It was dinnertime, figured that is the best time for buffet eating since the food turnover would be good and dishes would be fresh. WRONG!!! The health department should fine this place for each and every item that was below the regulation(140 degrees or whatever?) because not one thing was even lukewarm. Why oh why did we even stay and continue with this dinner debacle??? Maybe because we were so determined to find just ONE good dish… something that was palatable… is it chicken? is it pork, beef? everything tenderized to hell and slimy with the smell of the bathroom at the old Merlins!!! dear lord what a sin to call this an Asian(Chinese/Japanese whatever) buffet! Who the hell eats sushi at a place like this? The stuff they called sushi was even too nasty to look at. Dangerous eating at best. The disgusting dried out desserts? The garlic bread slices, the«buttered halved potatoes», the corn bread muffins, the imitation seafood cheesey bake, french fries… apparently all Asian foods I knew nothing about? Gross. Sick. Gag me with a ten foot pole. There was something called«coconut shrimp» that had some half chunky half creamy white unmentionable sauce slopped all over what appeared to be battered shrimp… that, well, kinda looked like the chefs had a good old time taking turns over that dish… IFYAKNOWWHAT I MEAN!!! I quote another review: «It’s a nice place and conveniently located near Wal-Mart». Well there ya have it folks. You will find«The People of Wal-Mart» here, grazing like the herd of cattle they are, stuffing their faces with garlic bread and imitation seafood cheesey bake until they explode! I have never hated myself for stepping foot into a restaurant but I continue to hate myself more and more every day for taking the dare to walk into that door to buffet hell…

I’ve enjoyed New Fuji Buffet for a number of years and have personally witnessed a decline in the quality and freshness of food served there. The Sushi Bar has lost its variety and freshness. I noticed a sharp decline about a year ago — as if they’d changed Sushi Chef’s(I’m really not sure but it felt that way to me). Since then it’s declined further still. I used to drink hot tea and water with my buffet meal and have since stopped because, on more than one occasion, I’ve had to return water glasses because the rims had a funky, stale dishwater — odor. I really thought these had to be placed in a commercial dishwasher at 140+ degrees, with soap, no? I spoke with the owner yesterday and she acknowleged that business had fallen off. We discussed what comments had been posted in different on-line review sites and I showed her a few posts. I asked her if she was going to make any changes to bring back business and improve the food, variety, etc. I’m paraphrasing when I say the word«no». Her reasons being: a) The staff rotates frequently b) Some people dislike the place but many more like it c) Some people post things out of anger and she is only concerned about her loyal customers. Again, I’m paraphrasing here. What remains behind are water stained ceiling tiles, a downtrodden Sushi Bar and lackluster buffet. Even the Sweet and Sour Soup(one of my favorites) has become weak and feeble over the last 6 months. The owners are wonderful people and the servers are polite, friendly and attentive. But that’s not enough to carry a business. If you won’t fix glaring issues with your business then your customers will — inevitably — fix them for you. I’ll miss the place, but I’ve gotta move on to restaurants who want to please their customers and keep them coming back for more. 2 Stars for all the good times… Phantom Diner — Signing off from New Fuji Buffet
