Service was fantastic! All staff were friendly. I ordered the spinach and cheddar crêpe which was savory yet the crêpe itself had the perfect hint of sweetness to to it. I asked for my hash browns well done and they were perfect. My buddy loved the eggs Benny. He practically licked his plate clean. The fruit on the skewer was so fresh. The coffee was constantly refreshed without us having to ask. Great experience all together.

My salad was horrible and limp the tomatoes tasted sour and old, my steak was more like leather. Then the customer service was horrible I was eating in and immediately notified the girl what was wrong and she got a attitude that I even said anything. Please I would not take my worst enemy here.

Stopped by on sunday for the first time. Ordered the gyro dinner… it came with strips of lamb, pita bread, salad, fries and I think a dill dipping sauce. Everything tasted great! The lamb was tender. Bread was nice & soft. The fries were unique, they kind of tasted like arbys curly fries but much better, they didnt need ketchup or anything. I thought i’d be waiting for 20 minutes or so but it was ready in like 5 minutes. Total came to about $ 12 with tax which was very reasonable with regards to portion size & quality. Will definitely eat here again

I finally discovered this diner close to work.(I love diners!) The service was spectacular. The waitress was very friendly and conscious of the time constraints of a lunch break without making me feel rushed. She brought my receipt when she checked back on my food but let me know there was no hurry and told me to let her know if I needed anything. She checked back a second time as well. I ordered this chicken souvlaki wrap. It came out so quickly, I was initially concerned that it may have been pre-made. But both the chicken and the pita were warm with cool, crisp lettuce, tomato and Tzatziki. The side of macaroni salad was quite generic but it is a diner and I wasn’t expecting anything fancy. I will be definitely be adding Vasilis to my list of lunch spots.

In the interest of full disclosure, after picking up my take out from Vasilis Downtown I walked down Main St. and right past the soft neon green glow of a Lloyd’s Taco Truck posted up on Eagle and Main. I seriously considered dumping my uneaten lunch from Vasilis in a trash can and grabbing a taco instead(Lloyd’s conveniently places a trash can right outside their truck for what I assume is for that very reason). I took the high road and I’m really glad I did. Finally, a restaurant downtown that really understands souvlaki… and my taste buds. My go-to-I-forgot-my-lunch lunch is usually an open chicken souvlaki from somewhere downtown. For whatever reason I decided to go with the chicken souvlaki wrap, which was rolled up tightly in foil like a burrito. I also got a bowl of the chicken lemon rice soup. The soup was thicker than most chicken lemon ride soups, and I really liked that. It also had thick chunks of flat top grilled chicken(which I presume would be the cuts left over from when they prepped their chicken for souvlaki dishes). The souvlaki wrap was excellent; one of the best I can remember. They gave me a side of Greek dressing, but considering the wrap was all rolled up tightly and slathered with taziki sauce already, I felt that I didn’t need the dressing. So, let this be a lesson for you, trash can outside of a Lloyd’s truck. Never again will us Buffalonians throw away our perfectly good lunches inside you for another taste of a Lloyd’s taco… not with Vasilis Downtown only another block away. You go get a job!

The word here is adequate. Should probably save this judgement until I have some of their souvlaki but this is regarding their cheeseburger. Was cooked perfectly, but lacked any flavor. Beef was decent and a good sized burger, but really just tasted like ground beef on a bun. Service was fine. Price is low enough, but some flavor wouldn’t kill their profit margin.

Grabbed chicken souvlaki for dinner and was less than impressed. The quality of the food was okay given that it only takes like 2 minutes to come up but what really brought down the experience was how poorly it was put together. I’m glad I was eating this at home since it was so messy. It would have been an embarrassing mess to eat at work. Also it was like 75% lettuce so had to take most of that off to be able to taste the rest of that food.

This is how diner food should be. I ordered the spinach feta omelette with hashbrowns and they were perfectly cooked and not at all greasy. They use fresh spinach greens and lots of feta. The whole wheat toast was thick, warm, buttery, and came with Smucker’s strawberry jam, one of my favorites. The waitress was courteous and friendly, and we struck up a nice conversation. Overall I’d come again. This place probably blows 99% of downtown diners out of the water.

Glad to see this place in downtown as another lunch option! Reasonable prices, huge portions, decent veggie options(falafel wrap, spanakopita). Even at lunch rush, they get you your food pretty fast. I’m definitely a fan!

We liked it so much we went back. There is a rush at lunch but the wait wasn’t bad. The food was fresh, hot and tasty. First I got a gyro wrap, Greek fries and iced tea. The tea is strong but good. The fries were French fries with feta and seasoning on top. Very tasty. The gyro wrap was good but not noteworthy. When we went back I got the daily fish fry. It was a HUGE piece if fish on fries will both macaroni salad and coleslaw. Enough food for at least two moderate lunchers. I am glad Buffalo is getting a few more places to have lunch. This place is worth the short wait and definitely worth the price.
