I love the food here! It can be a bit lengthy when it comes to waiting for the food. It’s mostly because they are usually really busy from being right in the mall. The wait is usually worth the food and I’ve always had a great experience with the staff. If you haven’t been its a must try! The lettuce wraps are one of the best things on the menu we always get them when we come here!

I’m going to do two reviews: food and then service. First food– I like pf changs. The atmosphere is nice and there isn’t usually a ton of people in there which could be a good or a bad thing. Anyways. We usually get the four course where you can get a small appetizer, two soups, two entrees and two small deserts. Last time we got the crab wontons which were good. Not tons of crab but good. Had a nice sauce at the bottom of the plate that was like sweet and sour with a kick. I have gotten the fried green beans which are really good. They are a little different than other typical chains that serve them. Pf tempura fries them and they have a great dipping sauce. We both always get the wonton soup. It comes with about two or three wontons in just regular chicken broth with maybe one or two mushrooms and one or two very small shrimp. It’s small but decent. Then, I always get the pad thai. It’s good but I ask them to hold off on the tofu. I always get shrimp. No chicken. The chicken comes in very long strips and tastes boiled. So just skip it and get the shrimp. My accompaniment gets a variety. He had gotten a variety of chicken dishes. Now beware– all you get is the chicken unless it says«with broccoli or with vegetables». It comes with a side of brown or white rice. No you can’t get a side of fried rice unless you want the entire entrée portion which is a bummer. The entire entrée portion is way too much. It’s like 10 cups of rice. Anyways, it all tastes good but I suggest sharing two entrees so you have a bit of variety. The desert options are two small wontons with chocolate or vanilla filling. Small but tasty and simple. For the meal– always ask for the three tier sauce or something like that. They used to put it on the table every time but now they only do by request. It’s some sort of sweet sauce they use for lettuce wraps, Thai Chile sauce, and spicy mustard. When all mixed together it’s delicious. Order the cucumber strawberry limeade. Small but refreshing and delicious and worth every penny. Now the service review– Overall good service, slow at times, but decent. However, last time I was very unhappy with what happened. We went to dinner and it was the weekend before Christmas. I realized I left my credit card at Pf’s while roaming the mall so we headed back right away. I went right to the desk to tell them and they said«oh yeah we have it let me call the manager». 15 minutes later. A woman comes over and says that the manager took my card home with him and he was in the car already halfway to Rochester. Right away, I was heated because 1. Who doesn’t have a protocol that when someone leaves their card where it goes in a safe or something? And 2. What do I care where he is? He needs to come back or uh that’s stealing? She proceeded to tell me he put it in his pocket for«safe keeping» and then left. Mind you I was gone from the restaurant for ten minutes at most before I realized I left it. She told me «he said he can drive back tomorrow with it». Stunned, I said«well it’s Christmas and I need my card… And he’s a stranger???» I was pretty upset and now worried. Should I cancel my card? This guy is a stranger? Hello? … She said she would call him back. I think she realized that uh this is stealing and he has to come back. You can’t just hold onto someone’s card like that. Oh and by the way«halfway to Rochester my ***.» He was back in ten minutes. It takes ten minutes to leave the Galleria Mall parking lot. They didn’t even care. Actually they handed me my credit card and his business card when t was returned. He didn’t even come in to apologize. What do you want me to do with your business card??? Because of that incident I won’t return. They need to reevaluate their service and protocols they have in place. The food alone would have gotten a 4⁄5 stars. But this incident brought it down to a 0⁄5. However 1⁄5 is lowest we can go. Thanks Unilocal for reminding me to expand on my tip. I’m reliving my aggregation with Pf changs.

Alright so we went to this place at around 1:30pm and waited around for our table. We were a party of 8 plus two babies. Oh and it’s a Monday and my Birthday. We didn’t order our food until 2:53pm and waited until 3:55pm and that’s when our food finally showed up. It took over an hour for everyone’s food to show up. My food was subpar Chinese takeout standards and the Sesame chicken I ordered was soggy. I also ordered the Hot and Sour Soup and that never showed up while we waited and that is also after I told the waitress when my other food showed up. The manager compensated all of our food, but at least I got tipsy for my Birthday. Oh and didn’t get my B-day dessert either.

I believe this is the 5th or 6th P.F. Chang’s, between LA and NY, I’ve visited and the first I can say there will not be a return visit! Our dumplings were evenly split between raw and burnt. While our server was quick to replace them, but how could you serve any food with these obvious problems. My Asian Salmon was dry and tasteless and my guests Spicy PF Chang’s chicken shared the same tasteless quality. The cool rice made our dining experience a perfect ! In all fairness, our previous experience at Chang’s, in different locations has made it a safe choice in quality food albeit overpriced. This location has many opportunities for improvement. Caution when visiting this location!

There’s some scrumplicious appetizers here(Salt and Pepper Calamari. Dynamite Shrimp… I’m looking at YOU, boys … and drooling). There’s some super tasty desserts too. I will vouch for the vanilla cream won-tons and that banana-Coin-Coconut-roll thinger. Other than that … this place just ends up being expensive without particularly great quality. The sushi was pretty meh. The pepper steak was boring. Other stuff wasn’t particularly spectacular. Also, I miss the days of their complimentary trio of sauces where the service staff got to create their own unique sauce for you. One time a waitress made a sauce so spicy that my date and I both choked and cried for two minutes after eating it. This was a remarkably fond memory for me(I ate it first … started choking and crying, then my date said ‘it can’t be THAT bad’ and ate it … started choking and crying as well. It was a blast!). So, tldr; select appetizers and desserts are spectacular, but the entrees make me want to apologize to my mouth and wallet. Lastly, it’s harder for the service staff to kill you than it used to be.

Pros of this place is the service we received was amazing, there server was friendly and checked in on us quite often. Now for the cons, the fried rice was unflavorful and had a off taste to it like it has been sitting out for a while. The broccoli was a crunchy and the sauce was very neutral for the sesame chicken. To sum it up, I would rather go to local Chinese restaurant and spend way less for better quality than to come to PF Chang’s again. Another pro tip, lettuce wraps are the only good thing on the menu.

As a Chinese I usually don’t go to any Chinese restaurant in Buffalo simply because they don’t represent high quality Chinese food at all. They are normal food that any body can cook. PF Chang doesn’t represent authentic Chinese food either but they put some innovative thoughts into it. Eg the cabbage wrap and the soup noodle.

I absolutely love the lettuce wraps appetizer and will go back just for this. I ordered the crispy honey chicken and it was ok. I much prefer the orange chicken that you can get at the cheap Chinese places. Our server was awesome and did everything perfect but the restaurant failed her. There were four of us on two separate checks so when we would order food, one group would get food and the others had to wait about five minutes. My girlfriend and I understood this wasn’t the servers fault and left her a good tip. The manager recognized this issue and apologized for the inconvenience. I would recommend this place.

You know those people we hear about that complain that their food was terrible, after they ate it all? Hate to say I am one of those people now. The«shrimp dumplings» and«honey chicken» were all terrible, but I was too hungry not to eat it. After a day of sightseeing from Rochester to Niagara Falls we were starving, saw this place and since its familiar to my parents they wanted to go. «Oh, I love the shrimp dumplings — let’s get those!» See the picture — they consisted of two half pieces of little shrimp, one tiny itty bitty piece of carrot, some celery, and a ton of dough. One bite, and I had plenty. Out came the honey chicken, best part of this was the dried out«steamed rice». Check out the honey goop. Won’t be back to this one, or another Chang’s for another 10+ years…

Those of you who follow my reviews know that its pretty rare for me to give out a one star review unless something was really terrible. This was one of the worst dining experiences, not because something truly terrible happened, but because a series of 17 unhappy consecutive things happened. I usually think PF Changs is just fine for the times you need to be able to dine quickly in a place sensitive to allergies. I love that they have two kinds of unsweetened iced tea and you can order a pretty veggie-dense meal if you are mindful. It’s a chain, which is not my typical go-to, but when you’re in Cheektowaga and you need lunch or dinner fairly quick, this works for me. Here’s a list of unhappy things that occurred: –I came in while my hubby parked and I seated right away. Even though it was slow and there were lots of tables and booths available, I was seated in a very in-the-way place overlooking said empty tables. –The waiter pretty much ignored me while my husband parked, which is not necessarily the worst thing but being pregnant and hot and thirsty, those five minutes with a drink would have been much more enjoyable. –When my husband sat down, the waiter– who had kind of an aggressive vibe– came over and asked if we knew what we wanted. He watched my husband sit down, came over immediately and demanded to know our entire order. He didn’t introduce himself, just kind of barked at us. We ordered drinks and said we’d need a minute. –Literally one minute later, he was back with no drinks and the question, «Can I continue?» I was so caught off guard by the question that I was genuinely confused and offered a puzzled«Continue?!» He replied, «Can I take your order to the kitchen?!» We asked for another minute. –He grumpily and silently dropped off drinks and then never came back. Not for ten minutes. –Then he came back and just lurked with pen-to-pad until we stated our order. –Our appetizer arrived quickly, but was poorly plated and had no dipping sauce. –Our meals came AGES later. They were both new choices for us and were both terrible. We’d asked for Singapore Street Noodles with chicken only(no shrimp, because I’m pregnant) and a lemongrass Chicken Salad. The street noodles had almost not chicken and the salad was basically a head of kale with no dressing and hardly any veggies or chicken. We would have mentioned it but… –The food runner dropped off everything and our waiter was never seen again until I requested a refill on my tea ages after I’d finished. –The tea was the wrong tea and took another 10 years to arrive. And he never came back to ask about the food once. –I asked for boxes and the check from him as he passed. At the same time, the manager came to ask how things were. But the waiter was RIGHTTHERE. So TOTALLYRIGHTTHERE. So I couldn’t say– this dude is being kind of rude and ignoring me and also this food was not tasty. Because again… he was RIGHTTHERE. Being kind of aggressive and jerky. We regretted even taking things home as left overs. It was just terrible, but I feel horrible wasting things. I should have said something then, but felt so awkward. This was a terrible meal and I actually ate so little of it that I made a frozen pizza when I came home.

Always get the salt and pepper calamari when I come to changs. Got it ordered to go, got it as soon as it was prepared(or so I thought), drove 2 blocks to my hotel and they were ice cold and kinda tough. Not usually the case.

The lady and I went to the P.F. Changs attached to the Galleria Mall for dinner last week. We were pretty disappointed. I used to attend the P.F. Changs in Victor attached to the Eastview mall quite frequently so I came in with expectations as I love that restaurant. I had the Shrimp and Candied Walnuts and she had the Crispy Honey Chicken. Her chicken was extremely dry and over cooked. I ate shrimp shell in more than one bite. The presentation was even sad. Back in the good ol’ days in Victor they would bring out the 3 ingredients(Hot Mustard, Pot Sticker Sauce, Chili Paste) to make your own chicken lettuce wrap sauce. Now they just pre-make it for you with out even asking if you like your sauce hot medium or spicy. Doing the little things like making the sauce at the table just made the place feel slightly fancier. IDK. To further that, they put everything on the same plate. The lettuce, chicken and sauce. They used to keep the lettuce on a separate plate to keep it chilled and the sauces would have their own fancy 3 saucer display. The chicken lettuce wraps tasted great, no complaints there but they were presented poorly. We also had the Crab Wantons. Again, they used to put the sauce on the side to keep the wantons crispy and so patrons could apply their desired amount of sauce. Now they drizzle the sauce on the bottom of the plate which was unfortunate because my date ended up disliking the sauce. All in all it was just disappointing. P.F. Chang’s used to be a chain that felt like a fancy restaurant that you could bring dates to and enjoy each others presence in a nice atmosphere with good food. My experience this time felt like I walked into a Chinese buffet with a full bar that had servers and cost more money. My meal came to $ 80 with a few alcoholic drinks. I’ve had much better experiences with P.F. Chang’s. I would recommend giving them a shot but maybe at another location.

Pros: Good service. Cons: Food. We were a company of 10. Ordered a sizable spectrum of food from appetizers to entrees. Food was pathetic. Fried rice with vegetables and tofu could be tossed out of the window. Absolutely flavorless, had to get extra sauce to make it consumable. Chicken dishes, bland, mediocre at best. Only able to eat because it was a long day and we were hungry. Pad Thai, watery. I have been to other branches of PF Changs in 4 other states, which were above average(like 3.5 to max 4 stars) but this was the worst food among all I have visited. Compared to price, one would think that the food would be good, but not really. There are several other chinese restarurants and thai restaurants in Buffalo which serve far more better food than this place. Except for the location and ambiance, there is nothing noteworthy of this place. Save your money and try other places for once, you won’t regret it.

I don’t like writing bad reviews. But seriously this is the worst food experience I’ve ever had. The chicken soups had a awful taste. The shrimp friend rice was bland. The fried calamaries tasted wiered. I honestly had high expectations since the place is so fancy looking. The food seemed like it was frozen Atleast their server was nice. Never again…

I’m not one for raving over franchise restaurants, but for American Asian cuisine, PF Changs, sets the bar high. For one, it is prepared well and you can tell what your eating, unlike some questionable corner Chinese takeouts. Secondly, the food has great flavor, especially the Sichuan chicken, the perfect amount of spice for my tastebuds. Having been to Shanghai and Beijing, I was able to try many of the authentic dishes, and PF Chang does a fantastic job of taking some of these dishes and putting an American spin on it. Do not be mistaken, this restaurant serves more than just Chinese, but other Asian inspired plates, such as pad Thai, Korean bbq, and my favorite Chilean sea bass glazed in ginger soy sauce… I can feel my tastebuds buzzing! They also have a great discounted lunch menu, and gluten free options! The atmosphere is quite nice as well, with a touch of drama from the lighting and wall paper. My top reason for PF Changs is that it is reliable and of high quality.

I did read an article about poor service in Buffalo restaurants is what is the problem– not location or food or even prices. I find this over and over again. Not a busy evening– actually quite early for dinner. I wish I could say it was one serving mistake– even 2– but it was a comedy of errors though nothing was funny. From the wrong soup to forgetting food to forgetting we existed. Where was the manager — I am always used to her walking around– I like her style, I didnt see her. The server was pleasant and apologetic. You really expect more from a chain, and more during the busy holiday season.

I recently took my girlfriend here for dinner. We started with the always delicious Chicken Lettuce Wraps. If you haven’t had these, I highly recommend them. They are crisp chicken goodness and one of my favorite dishes. We also had some Dragon Eye tea which is a delicious fruity oolong. Our entrees were the new Korean BBQ Chicken and the Crispy Honey Chicken. Both dishes were well beyond our expectations. The Korean chicken was moist, spicy and very tender. It was stir fried with the usual green beans, onions and red peppers over a bed of rice. The Crispy Honey chicken was a stand out of the night. Very sweet and tender with a nice crispy batter. The waiter was very attentive and helpful and the rest of the staff was pleasant. I believe our server was Robert or perhaps Rick. Regardless, he was awesome. The bathrooms are clean and the place has a great ambiance. There is traditional art and statues all over the dining area. If you are in the area and are feeling some real Asian food, give P F Chang’s a shot. I can’t wait to go back and try some other dishes. Haha! Haha!
