If it was called Pi Mad, it would be an accountancy firm. If it was called Pry Mad, they would be Private Investigators. If it were Sty Mad, it would be a Pig Farm. If it were Cry Mad, it would be a stress relief center. If it were Dry Mad, it would sell towels. If it were Why Mad? it would be a therapist. If it were Die Mad, it would be a manufacturer of angry tombstones. If it were Fly Mad, it would be a discount airline. If it were Sigh Mad, it would be a brothel. If it were Psy Mad, it would be a Korean tribute act. If it were Apply Mad, it would be an employment agency. And if it were Bi Mad, it would be a dating service for people who enjoy the company of both sexes. But it’s not. It’s bloody Pies, ok? And they’re the dog’s bollocks. Pie Mad is the third review I’m doing for Damian and Vicky, which really shows how good they are at branding. Why have one successful company when you can have three? The three are interconnected and sell a lot of the same products. In fact they have more than three companies if you really look into it. Pork Pie Shop is the original, and does all the delicious frozen pork pies and stuff. Pie Mad is run out of the same warehouse and does all of the fantastic frozen pies, including an amazing Steak N Kidney Pie which is the best you will find outside England, easily. And then there’s the new British Chippy, which is the first ever authentic Fish and Chip Shop outside England, ever… right down to the equipment used… and tastes better than 99% of the fish and chip shops in England. I highly recommend the Steak And Kidney Pie if you can stomach it… it tastes amazing and is absolutely authentic and delicious. And check out my reviews of the other businesses that Damian and Vicky run. They’re all incredible, and all run out of the same location.

Please ignore the reviews of any Unilocalers who microwave their pies. No self respecting pie-lover would do this — use the oven. These pies are super delicious and deserve to be treated with respect.

I ordered Pie Mad pies for a family celebration, recently. They arrived quickly, well packaged, and still frozen. The pies were delicious — I had at least 2 of each type. People came to me and said how delicious they are, and the vegetarians spoke highly of the potato/onion/cheese pie! All the meat pies have chunks of beef/chicken in them, unlike the mush that you find in other brands. You know what you are eating with Pie Mad pies!

These guys saved our lives! We moved to Vermont from Blighty in 2005 to develop and run a European inspired small lodging inn, The Woodstocker in Woodstock VT( ) Initially we had great and very expensive difficulty in sourcing good British style bacon and bangers. EPPC then started producing in Vermont, in we think 2007,…and literally saved our bacon!!! We now have them make our own Woodstocker banger, supply us with bacon, pork pies and also their fairly new custard tarts which are the dogs bollocks of custard tarts! The pastry is so light and we simply cannot get enough of them. Our Fat Bastard and Full monty breakfasts have gone from strength to strength. The new expanded range of pies can only increase the amount of time that the FedEx guy will be delivering to our inn. Their shipping charges are very reasonable, and their service first class.
