This Pizza used to work for the Buffalo News, and also the New York Times and the Washington Post. In other words, the pizza used to be a member of the press. Which explains the name of the restaurant… Pizza Ex-Press.
Pizza Express, in the heart of Sloane, which is in the heart of Cheektowaga, which is in the heart of old Polish Buffalo, is a typical quintessential delicious Buffalo Pizzeria. This area has always had some of the most delicious and wet and sloppy and luscious pizza in the country, and PE is no different. It’s nice and cheap, the hours are limited but the deliciousness is not.
I highly recommend anyone in the area give Pizza Express a try. I am not sure if they have slices, or how they taste these days (it’s been awhile), but when I lived right by this place, this was by far my fave place to order pizzas from, because they are so wet, so hot, so sloppy, so delicious, and so perfect.
