The food itself was pretty good, and the restaurant was clean and everyone was friendly. I decided to get some naked juice while I was there(which they did not post prices for, it was about 4 $) I was severely disappointed to find out it was already expired and you could certainly tell. All in all I had a small wrap that was alright and expired juice for 11 bucks. No reason to go back.

It’s been two years since I’ve reviewed Roly Poly and I have to say I still love it! The place is nice and spacious The staff is so kind and always does whatever it takes to make sure you leave a happy customer. The food is soooo delicious!!! &FRESH! The only downfall they have is that they close super early lol if they were open 24 hours id probably eat there every day haha Roly Poly is a great healthy option, it’s my favorite of the few we have in buffalo! Thank you guys! Keep being awesome

Today was my first visit to a Roly Poly. Boy was I disappointed. For an over priced wrap, it was nothing like it was advertised. They need to actually pay a visit to Key West or south Florida to discover what constitutes a Cuban sandwich. PLEASE

This was my 3rd experience at Roly Poly. This place is great!!! Everything is so fresh and prepared to order. They have gluten free options too. The chicken Caesar wrap was good. Any of the turkey wraps, also good. Today I tried the classic tuna melt. It was delicious! The young lady behind the counter was a delight. Great service here. I think this is my new go to lunch spot. The prices are more than reasonable. $ 6 for a diet coke and a tuna melt. There is a selection of side salads, chips, beverages, and lots of dipping sauces. This place rocks for a yummy treat during the work day!

A regional chain makes its first incursion into Western New York by landing in Buffalo? And it lands downtown?! And it lands on Main Street?! Woah, that’s progress. I love what the landing of Roly Poly in Buffalo signifies for the city, for downtown. I want them to be successful if only to prove to other chains, to retailers, to investors and developers that setting up shop in downtown Buffalo can work, can be profitable. I just wish they were better. ATMOSPHERE&ATTITUDE: The atmosphere is nice enough, I suppose. Roly Poly has filled its space pleasantly enough such that it’s far more comfortable and pleasing to sit in than, say, McDonald’s, or Subway, or Ebert & Gerbert on Elmwood Avenue but maybe less so than Panera. Per my review of Presto on Allen Street, I think it could benefit from a bit more noise, a bit more going on inside as it does a feel a bit empty if unoccupied(a frequent occurrence given precisely how many people seem to visit it for takeout). The attitude of the attendants scores them bonus points. They could have attended the Japanese school of customer service. Patience, politeness, and a willingness to explain further the already spelled out menu are virtues rare in dining options at this price range but found here aplenty. Yay. FOOD: If only the food were better. See, Roly Poly specializes in open-ended wraps of cold and hot varieties. The hot pressed wraps seem to be their big point of sale. The chicken finger wrap I ordered today is a great demonstration of how exactly they fail. Their ingredients are of reasonable freshness and quality(with notable credit to their mushrooms and notable disappointment in their bland chicken), but like Erbert and Gerbert, they’re stored chilled. The ingredients are stored chilled(presumably all at the same temperature) and heated in the case of warm pressed wraps only once, when the wrap is grilled. Given the short duration of the grilling, the ingredients heat to different temperatures. In the case of my buffalo chicken wrap today, the cheese and sauce heated to the point of meltiness while the tomato and mushroom reached room temperature and the chicken chunks remained chilly. The resulting contrast in temperature was appalling, was awful, was the same issue that resulted in a lackluster review of Erbert & Gerbert on Elmwood Avenue, was the reason I likely won’t be back to either. See, the fix is simple. Take a few seconds longer and heat longer-to-heat ingredients like chicken in even a microwave first. Or simply cut the chicken into smaller pieces. Or just do what numerous New York City bodegas do and heat the whole wrap to the point where the chicken is warm and the cheese are bubbling. There are multiple options here. At this point, I should clarify that this cooking issue wasn’t an issue of me plunging the sandwich into subzero Buffalo temperatures. It wasn’t an issue of me bringing it to my home or office and consuming it there. I arrived ravenous. I sat down. They prepared it and brought it out to me. I scarfed it right away. This is an issue with their immediate food preparation techniques. VERDICT: This food preparation oversight is a mistake Subway, and Tim Horton’s, and TGI Fridays, and McDonald’s don’t make. It’s a mistake that stops me from even starting an in-depth evaluation of texture, of layering, of contrast, of creativity. This kind of mistake is a killer and is precisely the kind of mistake a fledgling Western New York franchise, a fledgling downtown franchise cannot make if it wants to be successful. Fix this, guys. Fast. Please. I do so dearly want you to succeed. 4 stars for attitude & atmosphere 1.5 stars for food 2 stars overall

I’m not one to complain, but I ordered the #117, the traditional tuna melt and the mushroom bisque. The tuna tasted off, and the mushroom bisque tasted like vinegar(although that might be what it’s supposed to be like). Mind you, the other people in my office who ordered loved their food, mine did not agree with me. Hesitant to call, because again I am not that kind of person, called back and told them I was unhappy, was put on hold and a man came on, I informed him I thought the tuna might be bad he very rudely said«it was made this morning» I asked if I could somehow get a refund or place another order and he again was quite rude, put the phone down and put a woman on the line, she was very pleasant and accommodating. I would love to change this review but as of right now the experience is leaving a sour taste in my mouth…

Okay okay, I know this is technically a chain… but it doesn’t feel like one. If anything, a chain being located so conveniently near the Medical Campus is a great sign! The bf and I stopped in for lunch and were extremely impressed. The place was steadily busy around 12:30… not crazy busy, but not dead. I ordered the #53, the«Chicken Popper» with sliced chicken breast, light cream cheese, plum tomatoes, sliced jalapenos, onion, fat free ranch dressing, with a side of salsa on a whole wheat tortilla(copied from the website). =P It was very, very tasty. Portion was just right, and the prices were reasonable. Also, they tell you the calories on the menu! I will definitely be back… this is an awesome lunch spot!

I like this place. Located on Main Street near Virginia Street and just down from Coco. It’s clearly newer and clean, bright and welcoming. There is a tv in the«eat in» section that has been showing CNN when I’ve been. As a news junkie that works for me, but if you are a sports junkie it may not work for you. I’ve been twice and both times found the person behind the counter to be super nice and informative, never mind flexible. He happily prepared one sandwich for me as half to «eat in» and the other half to «carry out». The food has been fresh and well prepared. I have not had a salad there yet but will next time. The sandwiches just have sounded so good. I’ve had the Chicken Popper and the Chipotle chicken pressed sandwiches. I’d eat either again but look forward to trying other things on the menu. I do understand this is a chain, but not one I was familiar with before. I like it. I was on foot both visits and am not sure the parking situation. I’ll update if I drive there sometime.

The veggie fajita wrap was really good. Little expensive for 12 inches of a wrap. It cost 750 with tax. My friend ordered the turkey Applejack and said it did not have any flavor. I cannot attest to that since I did not taste it, but I thought I would throw that in. They offer local delivery, casual catering, online ordering and it’s conveniently located on Main Street convenient to the theater district, the medical corridor and office buildings downtown.

Not really a wrap guy, but this place turned me on to them. The wraps are really, really good, much bigger than I expected, and there’s a huge selection. Nice to finally have a good lunch option down by the medical campus. Nice also that they’re healthy options.
