They’re still working on rehabbing this location, and they still have a ways to go. One thing they need to work on is fixing their freezers and/or getting their ice cream rotated out a little quicker. I had ice cream here recently, and while it wasn’t bad, it was a little bit on the stale/freezer burned side. The décor here is a little sparse as compared to their original location, and it’s very much a work in progress. I’d like to see how it shapes up in a couple of more months.

Oh sweet sweet Jenny. You are a gift from the gods. This ice cream is the greatest thing. They are constantly changing their flavours based on the season. Not only do they have ice cream, but it’s a candy shop, too! This location is right behind Glen Falls in the Williamsville Village. It is the perfect addition to any date! Or just the perfect addition to life, because dating is the worst. But seriously, super convenient to visit the falls and then walk around the corner to Sweet Jenny’s! There is a shit ton of construction currently happening in this little corner, so I suggest walking. One of our Hunt offices is located next to Eagle House, which makes my life a lot easier when I’m craving ice cream. Or candy. Or to just not be in an office. Or if I’m crabby. Really good for any occasion. The prices are cheap and the scoops are huge! Well worth it. They have another location down Main St. a little bit, but I like this one better. X’s and O’s! J

I like ice cream more than I’m willing to admit. I’m always game for a cool ice cream shop, whether it be tucked away, super popular, whatever! Most recently, Sweet Jenny’s has captivated my attention with the recent purchase and restoration of the red mill tucked away behind Main Street, hovering over Glen Park. I’m even more of a sucker for the preservation and re-purposing of old, abandoned, and historic buildings, and I’m extremely glad that Sweet Jenny’s decided to set up a little ice cream shop here. On hand they usually sell containers of ice cream in addition to being able to order your simple cone(or sugar cone) with a decent variety of flavors, from vanilla and chocolate to pistachio and black raspberry. They also sell all sorts of candy, like gummy bears and candy buttons. It’s basically your run-of-the-mill(pun intended) ice cream shop, I just think the location is very cool and unique. There’s a sitting area inside, plus tables outside, along with an outdoor piano and tons of chalk to doodle on the sidewalk with. It just makes this place so much more enjoyable, even though there’s a lot of construction still going on around the mill itself. I don’t think it interrupts the charm of such a pleasant little place.

I have had Sweet Jenny’s ice cream before, but stopped by their new location at the Mill recently with the warm-up. Their flavors are pretty basic types, with a few unique ones mixed in. They do offer some interesting combos via their website, but those rotate more I believe. You can get pints, quarts, and ice cream pies to go. They have chocolates here too and a little sitting area inside and out(just some picnic tables). I went with the Butter Pecan ice cream and while the pecans were pretty plentiful, the ice cream itself lacked a big punch of flavor of anything. I would have been ok with even more of a vanilla based flavor. As a Butter Pecan/ice cream lover, I was just sort of underwhelmed. I would come back to try other flavors, though. Also, the nice waffle cone was very stale which was a huge letdown. I think with the now summer-like weather and being in a sort of mid-updating/open building like the Mill, the cones need to be covered up for freshness. Leave a couple«prop» ones out to entice people.

If you love ice cream than this is the place for you! This new location, although under construction is a must see stop. It is cozy and feels like you are stepping back in time the moment you walk up the porch. I tried their homemade peanut butter ice cream and was blown away. I am so excited to see how this location expands and becomes a staple of the Williamsville community! Sweet Jenny’s will be sure to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Yes, Sweet Jenny’s is back to the heart of Williamsville. Same great ice cream and now in the very historic Red Mill. They have incredible home made ice cream and candies and chocolate. Prices are better then the other local ice cream shops and I feel the ice cream is hands down better. Next time you’re wandering around Glen Park or Island Park you be remiss by not stopping in for a treat.
