I noticed that all the favorable remarks about T C Jr’s pizza are made by weirdos and nutjobs! I use to live in the neighborhood many years ago. The owner is a user and plays loud music in the wee hours of the morning when he’s doing his drugs. He has the cops in his back pocket, so he never gets cited for it! The food is lousy! The block behind the Municipal Bldg. all the way down and including TC Jr’s are inhabited by nutjobs, weirdos and welfare receipients!

I had a friend visit from Florida over the weekend and he had never had buffalo wings nor been to Buffalo. By dinnertime Sunday, when were a little too tired to travel far but didn’t want to order in I was thinking of where to go for dinner. I already know I am not fond of the wings at some nearby restaurants. I realized I had never had wings from TC Jr’s, it’s a short walk and the dining room is clean and homey. So we went there. We ordered a large pizza, 20 wings, sodas and sat in the dining room while watching tv and chatting. It took awhile… but…OMG! I am not even sure I should share this and keep it my own secret… the wings were the best I have EVER had. I will say better than Duffs, — sort of reminded me of Santora’s years ago. They are meaty and the medium sauce has just enough bite. Enough to please people that like hotter and not kill people who want a little milder. Still felt the ‘spicy flush’, though. It was a reasonable price– many restaurants seem to raise their prices for wings and the wings get smaller and smaller– but not here! The pizza was great. the crust could have been a little thicker… but mouth watering. We had pepperoni, mushrooms and black olives. The mushrooms were ROASTED and tasted like it – they had flavor. Often mushrooms seem to be dumped on as an afterthought and are almost raw– again– not here! The pepperoni was slightly blackened on the edges but meaty and… can you call pepperoni succulent? The staff asked often if everything was ok and if we needed anything else. It’s cool inside too, but not too cold. We took a lot of the pizza home– the wings were so filling. It is a calm and chill place to eat-in, though I think most of their business is delivery. The dining room would make a nice event space– not sure if they do that though. I have told a few people. Finally got to Unilocal. Will put on my FB. edit: To TC Jr. s– Another Unilocal reviewer said you had blizzard of 77 newspapers decorating your tables before… put them back! This should be the ONLY place for wings people bring out of town guests to. That would be a nice touch! You’ll be seeing me for lunch soon!

I’ve been coming here since like middle school(when I was in middle school the original Star Wars trilogy had just been re-released). So I’ve been coming here quite a bit. Last night we ordered subs, turkey clubs which really hit the spot. Normally, when we order from TC Jr’s we order pizza. Large sausage and pepperoni, because they make fantastic sausage/pep pizzas. If you’re looking to have a large gathering, go with two(or more) large pizzas over the party pizza, because the party pizza never tastes quite as good. It’s more a tip for ordering than it is a complaint though. The only really bad thing I can say about the place is that their menus, especially the sub menu, changes a lot, so it’s always best to have an updated menu, and once in a while some of the staff is less than pleasant. But the unpleasant staff rarely lasts long, and the owner is rather stand up and friendly. Tl;dr: Sausage and pepperoni pizza is the way to go.

The thing is, when we used to get pizza from them with dad there was always a very long wait. I went there today and they told me it would be a 25 minute wait. I got there after those 25 minutes. The girl said it would be another seven minutes, and it ended up taking 50 in total. The lobby, by the way, was not heated in the miserable Buffalo winter, and during this absurdly long wait there were signs of mirthful laughter coming from the back room. How about giving me my fucking pizza instead of playing grab-ass back there? Hmm? After this historically bad service, I paid $ 12 for a small pizza. Thinking it over, I probably should have demanded it for free given the great many failures of the staff here. That luxuriously priced pie was powerful in its shittiness, lacking sauce. By the way, this was on a weekday evening. So, despite my history with this place(my family would go here weekly, and though my memory is dull I was told that it has always been absurdly slow), I pledge to never go again. Buffalo has about half a billion other pizza spots who do it right, so why waste your time(a lot of your time) at a place that doesn’t seem to give a damn?

Always delicious. Tc’s is my go to pizza joint. You can either eat in at their spacious albeit nostalgic dining area. Tables are covered in old blizzard of 77 newspaper clippings. Take out which is what I usually do, or they actually offer free delivery which is amazing in this day and age. The owner is the cook and delivery guy so you know that your food is taken seriously. Tc’s is always fresh and service is fast. Lunch specials are definitely the way to go if it’s early enough in the day.
