I am a big Sabres fan and remember the anticipation in the 90s getting my Sabres Store catalog before big internet shopping took off as a pre-teen. Even now in 2015 though, the Sabres Store has a lot that you can’t even get online easily. The store is not so huge that you get lost and overwhelmed, but they still have a wide range of merchandise so you can get something interesting/different. If you need a jersey of any player, this is probably your best bet in regards to sizing and timeliness. They also have ever-restocking player worn jerseys, used and new sticks, pads, photos, and more. There are often specialty items. I picked up a signed Hasek lithograph for a donation to Hasek’s Heroes. They will also customize jerseys, from putting a certain name on, changing a name plate, or adding a «C» or «A». I felt that the prices were pretty good for being the«official» store. If you are looking for something unique or right away that isn’t the same old T-shirt that everyone can get, you are set. They also offer 10% discounts for First Niagara card holders, Blue Cross & Blue Shield Card holders, and I believe for Northtown Auto Platinum Plus card members. They even had a decent sized clearance section. Staff was all very friendly and helpful. As of this writing, it is the winter after HarborCenter opened. They have signs for 30 minute parking for Sabres Store patrons in front of First Niagara Center and towards the parking ramp in front of Alumni Plaza(where the French Connection statue is).

For anyone who has spent any considerable amount of time in Buffalo after 5pm or on the weekends, you should have noticed by now that a dress code of «have the word Buffalo on your clothing somewhere» is widely accepted. It is therefore a necessity that in order to be called a «Buffalonian» you own a minimum of 10 pieces of clothing containing a clear reference to the word Buffalo, the city, or its sports teams. If you travel to «away» sports games, this necessitates a raised minimum as to accommodate a 24⁄7 display of this pride, including all layers, which in turn accommodates identification of like-minded individuals at said sporting event and surrounding area. So, in colder climates this may mean a t-shirt, hoodie, AND jacket or coat with said information. A hat or prominently displayed scarf may be substituted for the outerwear. So, the ground rules having been laid and the passive voice having been overused, the Sabres Store definitely has the best selection of Sabres merch that you’ll find anywhere — including online(such a rarity these days). It can be quite pricey, though, but it’s generally quality stuff that will last for years. I’m a sucker for the blue and gold so I’m probably biased, but I love this store… ESPECIALLY when they do the 40−50% off sales(and line it up with the end of the season, so I have no choice but to spend my remaining Sabres bucks on additional sweatshirts). Prices aside, my one complaint USED to be too small of a female section — but this has been remedied recently — without the use of a pink logo(the WORST) — and that makes me very happy. Pink is only acceptable on baby girls who are not yet clearly girls. Once they have hair and pink pants, it’s time to switch to the legit team colors. My one remaining complaint then is that due to the aforementioned acceptability — nay, expectation — of city pride on our clothing, I would like to see additional«professionally accepted» Sabres logo-adorned items in the store. Say, an argyle sweater vest. Long story short — good store with good stuff. Buy some.

A huge selection of everything Sabres located inside of First Niagara Center. They have a lot of sales so make sure you check before you go.

If you’re a fan of the Sabres there is no better place to go pick up some team merchandise. Was just here on Tuesday, and was like a kid in the candy store. I picked up a hoodie, two t-shirts, and a souvenir puck all for under $ 30 due to sales prices. No better time to shop for Sabres gear than in the middle of the summer. Jerseys were at 25% off also. Makes me think I should have got one. Eh maybe next time.
