A smallish shop filled to the brim with with a large, well-curated variety of toys. There are lots of items here that encourage kids to be creative and imaginative that are either harder to find or non-existent in the bigger stores. You might pay a few dollars more at the Treehouse, but the toy options are great and the gift wrapping is free.

Okay, I confess, I’m never in here buying anything for children. I know a lot of adults who are big kids at heart… err myself included. The Treehouse has a great selection of toys all around. Among my favorite items are their boards games, Klutz books, Squishables, rubber animals, and the items by the check out which make great odds and end gifts. Speaking of gifts, their wrapping here is beautiful! My own wrapping tends to look like a two year old did it, so I really appreciate the TreeHouse, which offers the service year round.

This is my go-to spot for kiddy gifts. I don’t have children of my own, so I really appreciate their helpful staff. I’m always able to find something that is within the birthday boy or girl’s ability and age range. I like their eclectic options — everything is a step far enough away from Bob the Builder and Thomas to not feel like Toys R Us, but also not weird or overly educational. They have SQUISHABLES!!! The really big ones, too! I wouldn’t say this place is cheap, but I never seem to bust my budget without leaving with something fantastic. Oh and the gift wrap! It’s gorgeous. I am a fan of fancy wrap & tying trinkets to the outside of gifts. This place is mecca for that. The check out area is loaded with little goodies that they will marvelously tie to the outside of your purchase with pretty curled ribbons of bright colors. My only complaint is these wrap jobs are sometimes difficult for little ones to get open. Maybe it spoils the magic a tiny bit? At the end of the day, probably not. They look great on the gift table and moms are always asking me about the wrap. If you plan on being a regular, they have a rewards system akin to other stores — spend a bunch, get something free.

This is hands down the best toy store in Buffalo. I’ve always found the best gifts here for nieces, nephews, and friends’ kids. Everything I’ve ever bought there has been a major hit! The owner is incredibly helpful when it comes to choosing just the right toy. Plus, they will wrap and ship gifts to anywhere you want. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for birthday and holiday gifts for kids.

Had a lovely day of adventures along Elmwood when I stopped at The TreeHouse. I was looking for a gift for my nephew who will be turning 3 in a couple of months. I was looking around for some realistic farm animal toys. His parents only like wooden toys and have been known to throw away plastic toys or toys that need batteries without even opening them. But that’s another complaint for another day… I settled on 5 different farm animal toys. They were roughly $ 6 each. The sales accociate(ugh I wish I remembered her name) was great! She definitely went above and beyond on her customer service. She even gift wrapped the toys with paper that looks like grass. I was so happy with everything while at The TreeHouse! I will definitely come back for Christmas and other Birthday adventures!

Is it bad I buy toys for myself here? That’s how awesome everything is in this shop. You can find something for every age here, and the staff is great. I’ve never had a negative experience coming here ever.

Quality toys and a large variety at that! This is for kids but I saw plenty of items that as an adult I would enjoy. The staff was very helpful and seemed excited that they work there. I would live working there myself and the prices even seemed decent. This was a boutiqish kind of toy store with bargain prices for high quality toys. I’ll definitely be ordering from their online store since I sadly don’t live close enough to frequent this awesome shop.

THE place for quality toys. No junk here. They know the product and can help you find just the right gift for whatever child you need to buy for. And they wrap. Great customer service.

What a wonderful little toy store! They have a great selection of toys for all ages. The staff and owner was very friendly and the store really felt like a tree house. I would much rather shop at tree house then the big toy chains! I definitely recommend it if you are in the elmwood area.

This is probably the only place I’ll ever buy a kid’s gift again. It’s just a small shop, but every inch of it is covered with games, toys, craft supplies, and whatever else today’s youngsters might want. It’s not chintzy crap, either — the Treehouse sells high-quality, original toys that will spur any kid’s imagination. Yesterday, I went looking for a birthday gift for my 4-year-old goddaughter, and came out with a really cool board game and a head lamp, figuring that I’d equip her to entertain during a hurricane. While I was there, two kids around 11 years old came in with about $ 5 each and spent a long time settling on a silly straw(you know the kind — it winds around the glass or your arm, or whatever) and a deck of trick cards. They treated their new 5-dollar stuff like it was pure gold. Awesome.

Glad to be first to review this place. I was back in Buffalo for a trip and decided to check out the old stomp-in grounds. I used to live right around the corner from this store and was glad to see they are still going strong. Stopped here last Sunday to pick up some toys for my son’s birthday. He was turning 3 and they had plenty to offer. This is a really nice boutique toy shop. Definitely caters to more old school hands on toys. We picked up a few things, like a animal no battery flash light, just squeeze the side and it lights up. Also got a wind up submarine that works great and one of those old school subs that you put baking powder in. All in all this is a nice local Buffalo business going strong. Stop in and check them out.
