This location is always busy… what’s new. I will say that some mornings are slower than others. Depending on who’s working will determine how fast you get your coffee, etc. When they have 2 lines going, it always seems as if the right side goes much faster than the left. Nothing special about this location. I feel like you get the same thing at each Timmy Ho’s you go to. The food is just blah, the doughnuts are pretty decent especially the Tim bits. I typically come for the ice cap which the taste is pretty standard each time I come.

I went to the Tim Horton’s in Canada and it was wonderful. This one was okay, except they forgot my hash brown :(

My first review was a little harsh but this location has improved slightly. Service is on the slower side but at least the staff is more friendlier.

A Poetic Discourse on Black Coffee I get asked a lot why I drink my coffee black. The easy answer that quickly bubbles to the surface is health; why consume excess sugars and fats when I enjoy the intense bitter flavor. Perhaps we should dig a bit deeper. It is true that through millennia of evolution(that’s right I said evolution) our bodies have been taught to avoid intense bitter flavors because they belie a substance with strong alkaline qualities which could kill us. However, as with most cultivated foods, which have built in defense mechanisms that we have grown to love(chili peppers), one could train their brain to relish the bitterness. Therefore, in this analogy cream and sugar become a tool to destroy or at least restrain a subtleness we have trained ourselves to appreciate. I liken this to listening to Beethoven’s Eroica through ear plugs. However, in my romantic mind I like to believe there is a deeper craving that can be traced back to Frank Herbert and his Dune series. The Dune series converges around the Planet Arrakis which is home to giant sand worms(which are as bad ass as they sound). However, a by-product of the sand worm is a Spice called Mélange, which if ingested by a person becomes a highly-addictive substance that provides the ingestor with a deep awareness and long life(kind of like LSD meets the drug in Limitless). This spice became so important, being the most valuable commodity in the known universe, that the ruler who controls the spice trade of the sand covered Planet Arrakis(which contains no other valuable resource… Middle East) becomes an instant hegemon. There are also two things that I absolutely love about the spice. The first is that the addict’s eyes are stained bright blue(which was beautifully captured by David Lynch in the film version of the book). The second is that the flavor of the spice is originally likened to bitter cinnamon, though the flavor changes as you ingest more(and train your brain to enjoy the bitterness… here comes the theme). When I stand in line for my ration of coffee every morning, I like to think of myself as the Fremen people of Arrakis taking my daily dose of spice. As I sip my coffee the bitterness floods my mind with romantic notions of myself on the Planet Arrakis, ingesting the spice to expand my mind. As the caffeine frees my mind from the clutches of sleepiness, I dream of my eyes being stained a bright blue signifying my deep awareness of all that is around me… and that makes me happy.

Good food, good coffee & yummy donuts. This was all I hoped it could be! The service was great & I was pleasantly surprised when I tasted the deliciously flavored & perfectly sweet coffee. The line was definitely worth it & the cinnamon roll I bought for later turned out to be a tasty treat. I would definitely go back!

Very unorganized, borderline rude staff. How long does it take to get an iced black coffee?

For my daily morning coffee break, it’s an ideal location across the street from my work. The coffee is fresh, but average and does the job…, nothing more and nothing less. The autumn season brings about it’s tasty cider cinnamon donuts and Timbits, which are quite good. Though my all time favorite has to be the cherry donuts/Timbits. The hot green or chai and fresh brewed ice teas are my other likely options if I want something else besides coffee. The lines can get long at times during the morning, but the service is quick with two lanes for ordering. Fair warning — check your beverage before you leave here. I’m a regular, and once in a while my order has been botched.

Another Dunkin Donuts — VERY weak, bland coffee, and mediocre selection of mediocre pastry.

I love Tim’s coffee, and I am addicted. Nothing tastes as good. Their iced coffee rocks too. I am in and out of there everyday, and sometimes more than that. I do brew at home, and I like many other coffee shops, but Tims is my go to joint. The food isn’t bad, but I am usually only there for my fix!

I’m not a big fan of coffee or donuts, so I probably should have never gone in. I tried a chicken sandwich that was not very good at all, a bland manufactured product warmed in the microwave. The iced tea was pretty good though. There was quite a line for the donuts, so they must be pretty good.

COFFEEADDICTDEPOT Does one REALLY need a review of such a WNY mainstay? Sure, why not. I will not lie… I cannot think of the last day in which i did NOT get a coffee at Tim Hortons. It’s become a part of me. I’m patiently waiting for the Tim Hortons coffee i.v., and am confident that if i keep filling out comment card after comment card, it will come to fruition(hop to it, scientists)! Ok, the coffee is… how do i say this… SCRUMTRULESCENT. They’ve recently introduced an XL size(24oz.), for those of you who like to POUND your morning java. I must say, i don’t really DINE at Tim Hortons too often, but the low fat blueberry muffins are yummy and have a lot less fat than the standard issue. Also, look into the low fat cream cheese on that bagel… can hardly tell the difference in taste! I can be found at this location just about every day getting my midday cup of joe, but I’d like to give a quick shout out to my morning Tim Hortons: the newly opened location on Sweet Home, right near UB North. Lastly, if you ever are travelling on the QEW, perhaps on the way back from a rock show… do yourself a favor and make a pit stop in Grimsby, Ontario… the Tim Horton’s(like most others) is open 24 hours and is a great place to rid yourself of those dollar and 2 dollar coins!

Slam Dunk-ins.(As in Dunkin Donuts this one has you beat). THEBESTBREAKFASTSANDWICH I’VEEVERHAD! By far. The biscuit was perfectly baked and flavorful and not a bit dry. The bacon had great flavor. Worth every one of the 420 calories. The donut holes were a little typical(we got a box of glazed). But the box was so cute and the name«Timbits» is just to darn adorable. The fruit and yogurt was sooo yummy. The vanilla yogurt almost tasted like butter cream frosting. The fruit included large juicy blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, and strawberries. The coffee was really good. A bit strong(I actually felt shaky later) but really good and nice and hot. A great breakfast after a crappy night at the Adam’s Mark hotel. .. and we didn’t even need to go outside the downtown area to get it!
