Ok, it’s not bad, but I’m sorry this isn’t a Shoneys, it was very nice, very clean, very nice people, but it’s at best a play on the name. The«on the go» should have gave it away as we pulled in. It’s just an upscale fast food place to me. Food was very good, just not what we were looking for when we pulled into a place with Shoneys on the sign. The food was very good and served with a smile, but not the Shoneys we grew up on here.

A man who appears to be a shift manager, «Morris» maybe(not wearing a name tag) has been yelling & talking down to other employees, plenty loud enough for the entire dining room too hear… Very Unprofessional! Feeling sorry for the rest of them who appear to be very polite & working hard! BTW, cashier/busser Caleb is doing a great job & has been very helpful & attentive!

This was my first time eating here. Not only was the food delicious, the manager provided excellent service. He gave us free samples of their tomato basil soup(absolutely wonderful) and was just all around a great server. Highly recommended.

Unbelievable Shoney’s! This isn’t exactly your grandpas Shoney’s! It’s a fast casual concept, no buffet and it has a drive through. Fresh food you can taste and the price is great for the food you get!

We came in here with a group of twenty special needs adults and we were treated like royalty! We called ahead of time and staff set up a large table for our group and even went so far as considering food allergies(we never asked for any of that). Stephanie, the girl taking orders, was incredibly patient and attentive, she definitely went above and beyond. Everyone at this Shoney’s stepped it up today, the food came out quick, it was hot and fresh. We will definitely come to this location again. Major props to the crew working today!

Driven by hundreds of times — this was our first stop. Nice service — they deliver to your table and clean-up after you. They request no tipping. Good food. Delivered to your table quickly. Staff and manager were very friendly. Will definitely stop here again!

We have eaten here on multiple occasions. The food has always been hot, fresh, and tasty. The fish filets have always been my favorite. The breading is crispy and the fish moist. Def need to check out this version of shoneys!

Extremely overpriced. A chicken sanwich, fries and drink will run you about $ 9.00. The chichen sandwich appeard to be a frozen real chicken but with no flavor to talk about as it was not worth the money.

Wow! What a great place for a fresh, delicious, inexpensive meal! We stopped in for lunch a few weeks ago looking for something different. We tried the fried fish and chicken sandwhiches and ate every last bite. The chicken was well seasoned and perfectly fried, as was the fish. Both were HUGE and not greasy. I loved the onion rings too! The place is super clean and they play awesome music, plus the kids working were on top of things and polite. We went back a week later for an early dinner and were super pleased. Country fried steak with mashed and mac n cheese for $ 7??? And its Really good! Great deal! Why on earth go down the road to the crack barrel and pay twice as much. The fried shrimp plate was plentiful and tasty too! Can’t wait to go back and checl out the breakfast!

I was so confused as to this place. I’ve known Shoney’s all my life. But the service was great, the people were friendly, and the price was reasonable, plus they had my wife’s favorite Hot Fudge Cake. I’m rooting for Shoney’s.

We’ve seen this place in passing quite a few times, but never stopped because our last memories of the Shoney’s in Cumming were neither fond nor good. This time, because we were tired of Wendy’s, Cracker Barrel, et all, along this particular stretch of road, we thought«Why not?» My wife had a cheeseburger and I had a Mushroom Swiss burger, mine with onion rings, hers with fries. Both sandwiches were substantial in size, and the meat patties were bigger than most other fast food varieties, more in line with 5 Guys. The flavor, however, just wasn’t there. The fries were of the slightly soft, bulky variety. The onion rings were large and thick, with a flour/cornmeal batter, which I peeled off. We did get to reminisce, viewing posters of Hot Fudge Cake and Strawberry Pie, which we enjoyed as luxuries back in the 1960’s, but no longer crave. The staff were very nice and helpful. But the burgers, just like the Whoppers and the Big Macs of yore, just don’t do it for us anymore. I’d say that things would be fine for a family with kids, but have a caution: our two burger meals, which included a side and a beverage, ran up a bill of $ 18.17.

I initially avoided this place because I didn’t understand the concept. «Shoney’s To Go»… I mean, what is that? I had a perception that the Shoney’s chain was for old fat people. But my wife insisted we eat there one day and I said okay. I’m so glad I went and I don’t consider us old or fat! It’s a cool concept, with a dining experience similar to Boston’s Market or a Panera(both very positive experiences for me) focusing on traditional American food including breakfast, entrees, burgers, fries, etc. You order at the counter off the overhead menu, pay, get a number and go sit at your table and they’ll bring it out to you without the traditional waitress(therefore no tipping required). I’ve eaten there twice and both times(breakfast and lunch) I’ve been pleasantly surprised. The breakfast food are similar to what you would find at their full service restaurants(real eggs and real breakfast meats) and much better than fast food nonsense– way better! Their lunch fare was quality food with solid portion sizes and delicious fries. Highly recommend!
