The staff here will bend over backwards to help you, I have stayed here over six days and keeping in mind that they are doing many fixes on the building itself I have nothing to complain about, the rooms are clean, the water isn’t brown, beds are comfy, rooms are pretty big, and the WiFi is pretty speedy. If you can move past the minor things which there are only a hand full of mostly the door having to give it a extra pull or push then I would say if you don’t want to pay the extra money to go to the more expensive hotels go for this one. Also I have met some really nice people that were also staying here and well as a few people that could brighten up a room by leaving it. This is my opinion on this hotel take it with a grain of salt.

No, I wouldn’t stay here again. .. There it is. You wanna know more, here we go… I was fearful of a place with no «real» tips and no reviews since 2008, but this place was pretty much chosen for me, so I stayed. In essence, everything else descent and close was oddly enough, booked. With that in mind, I thought the rate would be higher. .. It wasn’t. That scared me. So, it’s being remodeled. With that being said, the room was clean and updated. I liked my big bathroom. .. It ends there. So profiling is apparently illegal for TSA, but it isn’t for me. Cheap hotel, equals cheap everything else, including fellow clients. I didn’t like those who were staying around me and I don’t like people hanging out in the halls or outside the hotel constantly. There was plenty of that. My room’s AC was interesting. I’m not sure if it did what I said, or did what it wanted, I never really figured it out. The window had the big heavy curtain, but not the other additional thinner one that masks the inside while still letting light in, and I had the construction crew right outside my window. It had the rod for it, just no curtain, and the big one was on the wrong rod. The outside light at night shown all over my walls. I had no little sign to stick on my door saying don’t disturb. Big deal? At this type of place, yes. Could I ask for one? Yeah, but preferred to not draw attention. Coffee. .. 3 decals do not make up for zero regulars…and I had a regular, so common sense should tell u I drink that, then again, the machine had a «left over» filter from a previous client. Love those warm and fuzzier they give me. Breakfast was«ok.» Nothing major, although you would think, with barely anyone there, they could keep it clean. No biggie, the coffee there was fresh and surprisingly good. Good location, close to eating places, but that is hardly their doing. If anything, I wish the price was higher, attract better clients, and clean up the place. The kicker was I left something in my room after I left the hotel for good. Yes, my fault I know. I called at noon and they had already cleaned the room and no surprise, they found nothing. I know the girl on the phone searched and looked in the room, but she is not going to find it, the cleaning crew had already been, this item, mind you, was on the center of my desk, not just laying around on the floor. I informed her to let the cleaning crew know, I was coming back and would be there in 30 minutes. Long story short, when they saw I really did return, they miraculously found it.. . It’s good to be gone from there.

We stayed here because it was one of the only hotels in the area with an indoor pool. The lobby area was pretty nice, but the room we stayed in needed some TLC(tender loving care). It was acceptable, but when flushing the toilet, you needed to jiggle the handle so it wouldn’t continually run the water. The bathroom needed a fresh coat of paint and some other maintenance. On the last night we were there the toilet handle broke as well as the handle to the sink faucet. I had to remove the tank lid, reach my hand in there and pull the stopper! YUCK! You wouldn’t think the back tank would be moldy looking(something I surely did not want to see!). When my husband looked at it, it had been previously«fixed» by the use of rubber bands! We were heading out to visit friends so we didn’t want maintenance coming to the room while we weren’t there so we decided to not mention it until the next morning. Also, the shower drain drained extremely slow(often I was standing in 4 – 5 inches of water). And the other mentionable inconvenience was that the bathroom door must have been warped, because it didn’t want to close properly. The breakfast was free but not very tasty. Pretty much what I expected for free. When we checked out we decided to tell the main desk about the inconvenience of the toilet handle breaking the night before. Since their sign said 100% satisfaction guarantee, we expected some sort of adjustment to our bill. The response was that due to booking through , we would have to contact and discuss it with them. We did that and then called the hotel to discuss a discount. They agree on 10% off our bill. Personally, I was disappointed that 100% satisfaction meant 10% off for the inconvenience of having to manually flush the toilet. I will not book with again.

Breakfast was inedible– seriously. I will eat anything, but when you somehow mess up English muffins and fruit, you’re just trying to be cruel. I won’t even begin to talk about the coffee… If you’re trying to stay close to the Mall of Georgia, keep looking. This place doesn’t have a shuttle and it’s a long, hilly walk across high-traffic roads to get there. And to make it even worse, the 24-hour gym is thisbig and is located in the center of the lobby… with windows… putting you in full view of the front doors and any person who might want to watch you sweat like a wildebeest as you chug through a run on their treadmill. The staff was nice, the rooms were clean enough, but honestly, this place just wasn’t that great… I wouldn’t recommend staying here for more than a night. I’m stuck here for 16. :( The best part– it’s a terribly expensive and long cab ride from ATL. For three of us, it was $ 100 and took over an hour in no traffic. Incidentally– the cabbie didn’t charge us per person, just the straight fare…

Wingate Inn by Wyndham Suites is a much nicer hotel than I expected! I had never previously heard of Wingate Inn… our executive assistant only booked this hotel because my first choices(Springhill Suites by Marriott and Hampton Inn by Mall of Georgia) were already booked solid because of the Formula Drift event going on this weekend at Road Atlanta. GOODTHING! Wingate is wayyyy better than those other hotels! I have a very nice clean room, and the front desk guy was very nice and helpful, and the main lobby area looks great! They have a business center, and a 24×7 gym, and free breakfast in the morning. And most importantly… FREEWIRELESSINTERNET! They have cable TV too, but I don’t really care anyway. Oh and it’s right next to the Mall of Georgia and alot of restaurants and whatnot… pretty poppin location! I would definitely stay here again… but tomorrow when my other friends get here from CA, we’re checking in to Château Élan, which is probably the most luxurious hotel in this area. So for tonight, Wingate by Wyndham is great. But tomorrow, we’ll be ballin at the Château Élan sonnnnn! Hellyea. Update: Breakfast sucks here. But everything else is cool!
